I am almost too afraid to ask but did the game improve sibce the initial release? The reviews are abysmal...

Gameplay-wise yes. Sex is gonna be dependent on your initial feelings. While they’ve given it some features, we still haven’t seen the overhaul they’ve mentioned a while back

Pretty broad question. :)

Depends on what areas you're most curious about. Pandora's (the sex scene area of the game) about the same - they did add some "foreplay" clips for the girls up to current version release in their recruitment scenes. Each update usually adds some "scenes" (using the term loosely as a scene in this game is really just a brief (5-10 seconds), looping clip of whatever it is).

Grid combat is about the same - they've tried to add some more stuff to the maps like explosive elements, etc. Space combat is virtually unchanged from the v0.1 release to now - most are just open SCHMUP style fights in the open. Some of the quest-based missions have some stealth-focused missions which were a nice addition, but outside of that it's the same. They say they are working on grid combat, so we'll see - it seems to be the most disliked part of the gameplay for most reviews and feedback posts I've read.

They've added a gallery (of which the value is really up to the player; I find it to be a completely worthless waste of dev time, personally).

Dating is basically the same - you give the girls gifts and they basically say thanks and it gives a boost to the points the captain has with them. They've said they will be working to flesh this out a bit more as well.

They've updated some of the UI elements - nothing massive, but just small improvements here and there.

Hope this helps. If there's something specific you want to ask about, feel free.

a lot more backers trust me, besides that, yes they were upfront about why they changed their model after multiple times of changing it back and forth. What they were not upfront about is, is that they were talking about how much they have already finished in content (while kickstarter was running, way before ea release), and this and that, would be in for start of ea and blablabla...meanwhile not even half of what they said was finished was in the ea and during ea in dev diarys they talk about how they now work on it...but why do they have to work on it? when many of the things as they said before ea were finished?

Dont get me wrong i wish the best for Subverse, but a lot of things they said before ea and after it contradict themselfs a lot.
Also we are not talking Indie anymore...they got 1m+ through kickstarter + sales on steam (they were #2 in trending sales there) and other platforms, for development, while "indie" devs often dont even have a 100k as a budget but have more complex systems+content and more content and dont even have half the development time + they are a lot less people sometimes just 1 person.

Subverse reached 1m+ on kickstarter at May 2019 and they worked on it already way before that, keep that in mind.
For how barebones the systems, gameplay and content is in **lets say 3years** not counting the work before kickstarter, of development, i think its pretty clear why not just "100" backers are annoyed and angry but a lot more than that.

Just saying...as mentioned personally im not angry at all anymore since i feel like im not allowed to be, since i never paid for it.
Wtf… if you think 1m isn’t indie anymore, than almost all good indie games you’ve heard of don’t qualify. Indie isnt just one person working on a game as a side hobby creating bloat ware. So many terrible takes about game dev, like the guy comparing one of the best triple A studios to this game. LOL.

you should probably re-read, i never said indie is 1 dev, and i never said 1m is considered triple a or something like that, im also well aware what counts as "indie" nowadays and what it was meant to be in the first place. Either way, im not interested in discussing more about this, since people clearly only read what they want to read and take things out of context.
Also this thread is not about discussing these things, i apologize for doing that, with that i consider myself out of this discussion.

The devs really could've put Subverse on sale like almost all other erodevs are currently doing on Steam. But no, they really don't give a fuck.
Just looking at the sale field, the other lewd games appear to be...completed. And this is already the 'on sale' price, as it'll go up when its reaches 1.0.
