For me it was almost the same, except that I was on a mission to collect some pollen?!? I will try another path in the next few days, but at the moment I am a bit disappointed.

Did you not play VR with the blonde? There's a (digital rape) scene there.
Or play pool with the engineer? You can play strip pool, so you'll need to win if you want to see her in the buff & do a dance.
0 clues for what? I solved the power issue. Go to the roof to check the module, then go to the storeroom to collect the drill & go back to the roof to find that some of the power buses are fakes.

The side mission is triggered by going to see the botanist guy, but I did not actually go out on it.
I think I might have left it too late.

My impressions after 2 replays with mostly the same path choices, Sarah centered, female then male MC, as i personnaly don't care about the other characters or hae any attachment to them. I also tried the engineer drunk girl back then to see options, and will try this chapter's save with her also.

When you go to find the commander woman and she's with the alien which you shoot at, if you don't go to her & instead go into the cave, I have a feeling that produced a lewd scene with her.
Might be a fight, sorry if it's not a lewd but I can't remember properly, it was a while ago now, but I have a strong feeling something took place in there.

You get to see her in underwear, which if you are older than a kid, is not really anything lewd. It's basically a bikini shot. Her undergarments' should have been slimed and removed also to produce an awkward scene and character/story development or a sex scene seeing that she was clearly very aroused by something and she could have lost control and jumped our bones.

It was a fun scene, mostly due to the insight into her character, but no real naughty bits. She did have to walk back to base in her skivvies though, so that is fun. XD

The content and pacing are both lacking, and some of the character development and writing is obviously bad, as seen by the fact that 95% of people on this forum "misunderstand" Chadwick's character, which means there was a disconnect somewhere between the writing and the reading at some point.

I'm not sure how to say it not to offend anyone, so I just say it bluntly. Those who want simple porn game with simple "porn" characters, those who want instant non-sensical sexual gratificiation without any build up, those who want a game without any conflicts, they shouldn't play this game.

Of course pacing will be "bad" for those who want quick fuckfest. That can't be helped. It's a design feature that relationships develop in a more realistic manner.

Regarding Chris, she's certainly not easy to understand, but that's intentional. To me it makes her intriguing. But it's fine not to like her. What annoys me are people who trash the game because they hate her. I call that whining and cowardice. Why not embrace her as a rival? Every good story needs a villain the hero strives to defeat, no? She may not live to see a happy ending.

Anyway, yes, it's clear this is not a game for you. People have different preferences.

Why the hell she keeps creating the UI elements with pics instead of coding all those messages... It's not that difficult and she'll cut down filesize a little (of course I'm not saying this because I need to spend several hours checking image folders for changes and new elements and then trying to edit those pics for translation purposes ).

This is not a game for dummies... nor for translators (I guess the Italian guy just throws the text scripts into Deepl and call it a day)

On file size generally, I've had somewhat of a late breakthrough. One of the reasons the files get so large is use I lot of screens to display maps, travel scenes, and command screens and therefore the received wisdom is that for Renpy these have to be PNG files to handle the transparency issues. PNG files of course are also the largest possible image size files you can have...

However, it seems the received wisdom (and default advice) may not be all that it's cracked up to be and that I can in fact use something much, much, smaller. This will mean some formatting of images and changing the screen code in the file to have the correct suffix but, back of a ciggie packet calculation, suggests it could save around a 1Gb incredibly. So worth doing.

I'm going to test it out on the standalone Chapter One I still have first, and if it works then I'll carry it over into the rebuild. I'll keep you informed.

Yes, this seems to be more of a quick solution to offer a smaller download of Chapter Four. Any code changes to the UI would come in the next one.

Also, a patch to fix any remaining bugs will be released in about a week (both as just updated scripts to download and a full build including the mentioned UI size reductions.)

Yes, you're doing something really wrong: You forgot to read what the characters say to you.
When you're with Amanda, she tell you that you have one (or two depending of your actions in the previous chapters) mission, and who you've to talk to, in order unlock them.
