Not sure where this is supposed to end.
Saw back in Mar that it ended at dustpan, but thats where I am and cant pic it up.
Have done Rebeccas garage and my picture on wall and no indications in quests.
Moms in kitchen and goes through conversation every time i enter hallway.
I can go in her room and see the dust but cant get dustpan in kitchen.

wait, did you already picked up the dustpan set? than use it on the dust in her room
if not, you'll find it in the bathroom cabinet

I already try it a second ago and it works clean for me so far
edit .. did you maybe load an old save game from the previous version?

This definitely needs are proofreader. Other than that, asking for Sebastian's help for the tools objective is bugged. When I talk to him there is no other option than "Bye bye."

That bug was addressed higher on this page if you have multiple savegames you might be able to do it.

Yes of course!
But after several hours the game thread is updated, Terranusnova was the first with a weird, endless running value counting upwards for nothing, even not on purpose triggerable, for me inside the engine, to recreate the error..
so I guessed, that this might be an individual case
entering the backroom is a hidden scene
there is exactly one situation to unlock this scene and if you miss it is "to late" ;-)
just kind of an easter-egg
