 Oh, I think I know what's going on. There's a rare, but nasty bug in 0.5.4 that restores missing image gallery items. Right after you load the game, save it again, and load it again. The game should work fine after that.

At the very least, it's fixed in 0.5.5
Awesome! Thanks for the help, it worked :D

Not played this in months, but it says Az's and Cait's routes are complete already? Is that right? Don't really wanna play from the beginning again honestly.

So is Cait just the designated infinite tease?
Having left the game this long, it seems ZanithOne just has ADHD when it comes to developing characters. News flash, no one gives a fuck about a 3 part orc girl dream, just add some content to the girls you have already.

Cait is definitely the worst offender, she was basically introduced and forgotten about. Literally no new content for months.

I do, though.
You think I‘m happy the Lyriel will have a dry run now? Or that Rae didn‘t have (m)any more intimate (not sexual) encounters added? Or any interactions with Naomi?
And do I give the dev shit for not doing what I want?

I get your point. It‘s annoying to not get the content you look most forward to and instead you get something you couldn‘t care less about. Still, I think we should voice our concerns and wishes for the game in a constructive manner and not like „just kill yourself for creating an orc girl. Let me rape the readhead already“ (that is overly exaggerated, but I‘m a fan of that)

I‘m sure Zanith has the game mapped out and when which content will be integrated into the game. That said, plans can change and maybe comments like yours actually do influence the dev to release content planned for a later date to an earlier one. That‘s a good thing of the game. A lot of content is independent of what else is happening.

People always like to add the claim that they speak for a majority.
I wonder if it makes them feel safe when they present their own opinion as "No-one cares about...", instead of "I don't like..."?
Or, if it's simply ego that makes them think that, just because they feel that way, everyone else must, too. Right?
As the post above proves: Wrong.
One person's opinion is not automatically everyone/anyone else's.
That person does not have the authority to speak for everyone else.

Actually what influences who gets content when is this:

Cait will be getting the next story arc, after the anniversary update.

Pretty standard practice to milk patreons by not giving them what they want. Not even saying that's what's happening here, but introducing characters and practically ignoring them isn't what I'd call a great delivery cycle.

I don't even mind the orc girl, but why are we getting dream stories about her when the other characters are still half baked - it gives no confidence anything will ever be finished, it's in the similar vein of a developer starting a new game while their current game isn't half done (don't strawman me, I did not say they were the same).

Let's talk about that scene with the girls from the tavern. They're not really developed character wise, they're mostly supporting cast for lyriel even in the multiple visits we've had which would've been an opportunity. Instead it's just used as a cheap "Here, I made porn!!!". It's not really hard to find some flaws in the priorities if that's what's coming above other scenes.

Anyway, this was the case last time I was here, and honestly it's been months and months since I've checked on the game, and pretty much nothing's changed.

Introducing characters then ignoring them? No-one's been ignored, what are you talking about? Yona has the least content, as the newest girl. Strange as that may seem.
This sounds like you complaining simply because the girl you personally want has not received content for a while.
Content for which girl is chosen by Patreon poll.
Which makes your suggestion of milking, all the more ridiculous.
If you want a say in which girl gets content next, become a Patron.

Currently the amount of content per girl is as follows, in descending order:
1. Rae
2. Cait
3. Lyriel/Naomi
4. Yona

I think you may be confused.
Yona is the orc. What dreams have you had with her?
Do you mean Lyriel, the elf, who's been featured in the last 2?
Either way, this is introducing a character and giving them content. Isn't that the opposite of introducing characters and then ignoring them?

The 1st scene in the tavern is clearly Lyriel being mocked. The side characters are developed as much as they need to be.
One is jealous and the other 2 are impressed.
The tavern owner is a matriarch.
The 2nd visit does not have the antagonistic edge, because the jealous girl is not there.
What more do you need, for 2 scenes? Their whole life story? Please.
I mean, if you didn't pay enough attention to know which girl or species you're discussing above, then it's not surprising that you missed the nuances in their behaviours here.
Anyway, this was the case last time I was here, and honestly it's been months and months since I've checked on the game, and pretty much nothing's changed.
Well, that's strange because I picked this game up 2 months ago (at v5.2) and have seen plenty of content in the last 2 updates.

I have no idea why you quoted me but, sorry man, this whole thing just sounds like you picking invalid faults because you did not get content for the specific girl that you want.
You are not entitled to get that.
As I say, if you want input on that, become a Patron.
They are the people who choose which girl gets content & rightly so.

Look, I am playing this game for fair amount of time and I am sure there isnt any milking. Dev started this project and he/she said there would be 4 or 5 main girls at the start (If I remember correctly Cait wasnt introduced at that time) , nothing more nothing less. Maybe you can "dont mind the orc girl" but I would mind if the dev wouldnt deliver a promised character. If dev decides to make 17 main girls just to make game longer that means "milking". Besides, dev introducing characters according to story when story needs them, so what is the problem here? Do you want them to thrown at us at the begining in bulks? I dont see any problem with devs introductions, they feel natural in the progress of the story, not causing a reaction like "where hell did she come from?" etc.

If there isnt enough content for Cait (in your opinion) thats because story arcs progress order determined by patreon polls, so that means the paying community dont mind about her just like to your feelings about Yona. We are pirates here dude, we should thank to dev for he/she is here and at least hearing about our opinions. Are you sending e-mails to CD projeckt red or Rockstar like "I pirated your game and didnt like that parts, change it"? If your answer is no, than dont do it in here to. I am not saying "dont give feedbacks", I am saying be thankfull for what you found and dont complain about what you want.

There are more things to write but I wont repeat the logic-holes whichone pointed already.

Master of Puppets was so nice to post a Screenshot of a poll held on patreon as to which girl should get the next content. Seems to me that the dev is exactly giving the people what they want. The screenshot shows that Lyriel is leading by a large margin. As such she was the focus of the last few updates. Introducing another character did not take anything away from that in my opinion. Rather it adds depth for the players that start a new game and experience all content for the first time. There are two viewpoints that need to be taken into consideration. Long time players which likely only taste the new content. As such a player updates may seem small and not focused on what you are waiting for and new players who, at this point, have so much Content available that the game needs pacing in the form of „Wait a bit“.

Talking about development cycles, more important features are prioritized during sprints. The importance of a feature in this case is set by the patron poll.

Am a bit sad that the scenes with the elf do not reflect if we were turning her into a slave instead of a companion....

Speak for your self. Plenty of people here support these games and just use this forum to discuss them because of the community.

And that's before we get into the fact that the dev puts out a free public version which is the one you can download here. So anyone downloading from here is in fact NOT pirating the game. They are instead using a legally available demo put out by the developer.

And the entire purpose of practices as a free public version are to gather support, user input and attract future customers. So if you think that the developer should ignore this community because we are in your words "all pirates" you are dead wrong. What we are is present customers and potential future customers partaking in a free sample.

Not that I agree with anything the guy said, mind you. As far as I am concerned the DEV is doing absolutely everything right in terms of how he chooses what content to develop. But your dismissive attitude toward the basic realities of good marketing is equally wrong.
