Really?
Nasty.................lol
Eh, not the most depraved thing to do :D
I'm glad I got the confirmation it exists as it's not a repeatable event so I was questioning if it was actually in the game.

Reminds me of an old movie...Police Academy?????? Where one of the cops yells at his cat while he's scooping cat crap out of his cereal, then finishes off the cereal....

something like that.... was a really long time ago.
I think that's in Police Academy 3 and happens to Mahoney's partner.

Every new update kind of confirms for me that, no matter how you feel about the other girls, Rae is kind of your soul-mate and the "head wife" and mother figure to all of the others. I have no problem with this as she is absolutely my favorite (probably because of those factors  ). This isn't truly a "pick your LI" game, there is (seems to be) a directed plot with defined relationships, but you get to choose how much interaction you want with the "side" girls. If I could only pick one, it would be Rae. If I can have a harem, I would pick some of the others as well and wave "good riddance" to some.

Just my take on the situation.

I actually have a very slight problem with this, but for another reason, it doesn't really impact my enjoyment of the game but i'd be lying if i said it didn't break immersion a bit.
I'm talking about the fact that, no matter how you feel about the other girls (as you pointed out), there's always the ongoing implication that you're bedding them all, even though you're maybe going out of your way to avoid sexual encounters with some of them and just want to stay friends, this usually happens during multiple-girls events when sexual innuendos jokes start to get out.

It is true that you get to choose how much interactions you have with them, but at the heart of the plot it is an harem game with no one excluded.
Ofc i realize it would be a pain in the ass to track all the possible interactions and change the dialogue accordingly (for example ignoring Cait would mean having to get rid of a lot of sexual teasing to her by Rae, and that doesn't seem feasible at all, ignoring the latter even more so), it would end becoming a different game.

But you know, i can't help but feel that i would have appreciated it a lot if the game took note if i made it clear i wasn't romantically interested in some girls, or if i had a clear favorite among them, or even if was going out of my way to be with one girl only.
For example when Yona talks about Rae being the head-wife, there's no option to confirm or deny it, because in the story she IS the head-wife, even if you personally care more for another girl, or the fact that Rae speaks in a way that implies you're getting it on with everyone in the house despite the fact that maybe in your save you've only been with her, on purpose since in the actual plot there seems to be no way that it would actually happen.

This is just a rant on personal preference however, i love the game i still think it's one of the best on this site despite all the minor complaints i could have about it.
The only thing i hope is that there's gonna be solo endings and not just a fixed big harem ending, so that you can finally clearly express your preference if had one.

Something to point out with games of this nature.

There are times when people think the MC has been railroaded into a specific path and that they think its something the MC wouldn't do.

So here's the thing - They aren't you MC. They're the developer's. Oh sure, you might make a couple of choices, but at the end of the day, you're only playing a character created by someone else. And that means that some choices have been made long before you started the game.

****

There's been plenty of discussion in this thread about how the game might end. Harem ending seems most likely, but you might also have a situation where maybe just one girl chooses to stay. Throughout the game, there have been hints that girl will be Rae. She's fascinated by the MC's world, more so than Cait. Cait is interested in the science and technology, but Rae loves everything about that world. The city at night, during the day, the feeling of anonymity, from the people and clothes to the restaurants and, well, everything.

Rae shows more interest in the world, while the other girls show more interest in returning home; Naomi being chief among them (at least, until she finds out what happened to her crew). Cait would probably want to return to her studies, possibly blending science with the arcane. Lyriel doesn't seem that interested in the MC's world, but that could also be her own ignorance showing through. And Yona hasn't really shown much because she doesn't have much at the moment. But what does Rae have to go back to? To become a tool again, a spy or a plaything for some noble in some backwater world? To leave her infernal home again for years at a time? She wants an escape and the MC's world could provide that.

Like I said, a harem ending is likely, but if we do end up with just one girl in the end, the build up has been there, along with the motivation and the relationship.

Even though it falls pretty much in my lap the way I want it, I fully agree with what you're saying. To be honest, Naomi and Yona could have been left out as far as I'm concerned....just my preference. I interact with them as little as possible, yet conversations happen that make it seem like Naomi and I are knocking boots constantly, or that I'm slobbering over her .

This isn't a "pick your waifu" solo path story, or even a traditional harem story - you are kind of directed on to a path due to the nature of the situation (being trapped in the house) and the fact that Rae is the only one with the knowledge and magic to help and teach you. A lot of that wasn't obvious to me until later in the game. I have noticed that recently we've been given some choices that give me the feeling that, if there is a solo path ending available, it doesn't have to be with Rae.

Yes pretty much, it seems we are in a similar situation, i actually started thinking the way i do about the relationships in the house exactly because i was avoiding sexual interactions with Naomi and Yona but the game would occasionally throw in a line of dialogue that would imply i was having them anyway.
Of course i clearly understood why it did that, it was because in the context of the game it made sense the MC was having them and i knew that keeping track of something like that in order to have variables would be a huge pain to do.

But despite all the logical arguments for it, in the moment when you're reading the scenes, you can't help but stagger a bit when the characters talk in a way that contradict the decisions you've made, but at most i just make a mental comment to myself like "well i actually didn't touch Naomi once, but ok" and move on.

It's just that kind of game and i'm still completely fine with it even if it's missing this little piece.
But on another note i appreciated all the events that made you state your opinion, or side with a girl's, since they're moments where you can express preferences, and the game it's full of them so it more than balances out any contradictions that may occur in other scenes!

if the main character really loved rae, he would not let her do it.
So you think the MC owns Rae and he can decide for her if she gets to live in the human world or not? If you've been playing an asshole MC then sure, he could just not allow it but if not then his only choice at the end should be if he's going to share her now limited lifespan or if he's just going to help her get setup.

You're apparently not paying attention to how much she loves the world and is the one wanting to potentially stay.. the most my MC has been able to do is suggest should could stay if she wanted. Honestly I wish there was a path where the MC was trying to get her to stay with him.

Definitely agree about the path concept. I found the physical contact between pirate/brainy girl at the start as a bit weird considering MC couldn't put a stop to it.. later on when I realized it's because she has motherly instincts and cares for brainy girl in that way that I was more okay with it..

Considering how complex the actual scripting is for this game, I think it would be cool if there was an impact to not having any talking/hang outs with a girl once you had shown interest. Kind of like the random Caitlin visits (which should include sex on the menu once you've had it) so they would stop you and mention the lack of attention. In a complex enough game it could even reduce their lewdness/intimacy levels depending on the girl. Yes, it could get annoying if you're with every girl but it would be nice for a game to show the potential time management downsides in a harem.

Like I said, a harem ending is likely, but if we do end up with just one girl in the end, the build up has been there, along with the motivation and the relationship.
So my thinking is..
  • Naomi throws you out of her room the first chance she gets whenever you are with her. The only ending with her that makes sense is if you were to join her crew which would likely get make the submissive players happy enough. I do not currently see ANY reasonable route for her to want to stay in the house or move to the MCs world.
  • Caitlin is exploring her sexuality with you but she doesn't show that much true affection towards you (morning wake up doesn't count as she runs off asap). She actually doesn't seem to have an end game goal at this point, beyond being allowed to go back to school and be with her friends. I could see her being interested in staying at the house long term but so far we haven't seen anything that indicates she'd be willing to give up her magical abilities to join the MCs world. (Spoke too soon as she is in fact knowledge based so going to MCs world to become a scientist interests her)
  • It's still early for Yona but she doesn't seem that interested in you as her main focus is on returning home for revenge. At this point we don't even know if she would want to take over her tribe and lead them with you by her and we haven't seen anything to indicate she loses her physical appearance if she goes to our home so that rules out going to live on the MCs world.
  • Lyriel seems fine with the harem idea (once she gets over her inhibitions) but I can't imagine her being willing to give up her Elvish nature for the MC. Even if there were a way to permanently alter appearances to make them compatible with MCs world, I don't see her as being willing to go through with the change.
  • Rae obviously is okay with a harem but she is also developing a strongly desire to live on the MCs world which puts her at odds with every other LI. Even in a house bound ending I don't think she'd be truly happy.. she wants real clothes and to experience the real world which would be impossible if she can't bring her friends over to her house.

Based off that I don't see how a true harem ending is possible without seriously breaking certain characters continuity, even in a scenario where we stay at the house. Thankfully for me though I'm happy to give up the house and the other girls so that the MC can spend the rest of his life enjoying Rae and her antics :D

Other examples include Yona reading a book before she has agreed to learn, Caitlin talking about chlorine well before she mentions learning about it. Some of these things could definitely be fixed (the code is already quite complex at handling variables during the Hang Outs) without changing things but I do agree that certain things would change the impact of the story. That said it would be nice of the dev would just make a decision and either force certain interactions OR modify the dialog at the cost of the story. Other games do this and it's not so bad.. at least in that case you know you're decision is making you miss out on certain things but it doesn't break immersion if you do so.

I was looking at and trying to read books for 10 years before I could kinda read them. Yes I have dyslexia and still have trouble spelling/reading
Caitlin talking about chlorine well before she mentions learning about it
I spent 15 year's talking about Computer languages before I learn't any.

I understand "both" "points of view" for Rae (her living in the MC's world or not).

(all this assumes you're not playing an asshole)

In my opinion, if the ending involves a permanent "move" with no possibility of returning it comes down to her motivations. If she truly desires to live a mortal life, giving up her immortality / longevity, magic, and all her past relationships, then she should be able to do it and the MC should support her.

That being said, if she's doing it because she's in love with the MC and want to be with him...that's where things get a bit murky. Don't get me wrong, that's a perfectly valid reason for her to do things, but MC could get hit by a bus 2 days after they move. I'm sure she'd still "like" "Earth" or wherever it actually is, but her main reason for moving there would be squished under a tire. Assuming she even had the will to go on after that.

The 2nd choice / reason / whatever is still great and all, but it's a far riskier proposal so everyone involved would have to be aware of that to not make it be a really selfish choice by the MC.

Or maybe I'm reading into it too much.

If I'm not mistaken it's a scene where you hang out with your sister's friend by the pool and have to pick her mother over her or something. I think it's the same time you get the "poolside cheer" one.

I might be wrong though, it's been quite a while.
