I finally had the chance to play the part 12 update, but I had to replay the beginning to recall how the story started since I kind of skipped a bit around the first time I played the game. Could someone clarify if my assessment is correct?

The whole reason this involvement with Nicole began was that she didn't want you to distract her daughter in the final weeks of school. As a result, she agreed to perform sexual favors to a teenager and cheat on her husband of about 20 years.

I understand that this later developed into what seems to be mutual love, especially in the romance route, but the initial situation seems random and strange. While I appreciate the direction of the plot and the evolution of the relationship in later parts, it feels weak to me that this is the foundation of the relationship. I know it could be justified that deep down Nicole wanted to do something like this, but her pride wouldn't let her admit it and she played along with the demands.

Since I don't recall the middle of the game well, could someone provide a better explanation? Or is this just a moment to set aside critical thinking and enjoy the story for what it is?

You're somewhat correct about the "Nicole Payment". However, I wouldn't call it "sexual favors" but it's pretty hard to narrow down the proper name/term of the early parts of the relationship. I can see your point that the starting point of MC's (Us) and Nicole's relationship isn't that strong or weird but as we progress throughout the game the foundation between Nicole and MC (Us) becomes stronger, regardless which route you're on. It starts out as seducing, sex to fulfill the lust of both characters but later it becomes love because in some of the sex scenes in "A Mother's Love" Nicole willingly wants to make love to MC (Us).

Regarding about Nicole's pride, ever since the start of the game her pride isn't that strong hence in some sex scene she's easily persuaded by the MC (Us). But as we progress throghout the game, especially in the "love route", we begin to respect her pride or decisions.

I was thinking that since the MC mentioned Nicole used to be stern but is now more relaxed with the whole situation, letting us know she doesn't let anyone trample over her or take advantage of her.

For instance, when she was secretly modeling, Joshua tried to have his way with her. Despite having the potential to gain something good in exchange for engaging in that affair, she was strong and immediately rejected any advances. However, with the MC, instead of exposing him for his scummy attitude right from the start, she played along with almost no resistance, and in this case, there is no real benefit for her to accept this.

That part feels as if, had we been able to read her thoughts all the time, she secretly wanted it to happen. Maybe not hiding it due to pride, but just to avoid feeling too guilty for falling for the MC and stealing him from her daughter.

I also just finished part 12 (love road). Actually, I don't understand the initial reasons either. A strong and determined woman would have immediately thrown out such a blackmailing MC. And what you say is the exact opposite in my opinion...Nicole is not strong, - a weak MC with all her will, he does what he wants with her just to get sex...John has almost brainwashed him and humbles himself in front of her... This is not a she is a strong and determined woman...(unfortunately) Sorry if my opinion is different, but no one here has any character development...(currently) Although I am on the emotional path, sex is still the main motivation for both of them, no matter how many emotions there are.. .MC's thoughts are noble and emotional, but when he gets close to Nicole, his animal instincts immediately kick in...(I know, I know it's a porn game, but still...) Looking at the current state of their relationship, I'm curious when and which one of them will say that certain word first (I love you)... A couple of people have mentioned certain endings to the story... Of course I also believe in the happy ending, but there is still a part of me that says that it won't happen the...

The moment you mentioned is the point where MC (Us) and Nicole are starting to develop feelings for each other. After that moment both characters shared a dance and after that dance MC (Us) says to Nicole that finding about her dark past hasn't change our view towards her but we have fallen in love with her even more and both characters start to make love.

There is character devolopment, especially if you're in the "love route" with Nicole. Towards the ending of Part 12 when MC (Us) and Nicole were cuddling with each other on Nicole's bed, MC (Us) were tempted to touch and play with her breast but we stopped ourselves from doing so and instead enjoy cuddling and sleeping with Nicole. Part 12 is a perfect example of character development for MC (Us), another example is when Nicole was crying (if you're a the dance or at her home) when she can't share the truth if she had sex with her husband. Instead of forcing her to tell the truth we just hug her and tell her to say nothing and we apologize to her.

Another example of character development is the Senior & Parents Dance. After Nicole shared the truth to MC (Us), we share a dance and after that dance we answer Nicole's question and we say, our view towards her hasn't changed but we have fallen in love with her even more and you know what happens next. I believe this is one of the moments where MC (Us) and Nicole started to develop feelings for each other.

The last example of character development is when MC (Us) was helping the Jogging Lady which Nicole was in disguise. During that moment we open up to her and do feel guilty of taking advantage of Nicole. We also say that we have started to fallen in love with Nicole.

I also wonder on who is going to say, "I love you" first because I believe that's the important part in any relationship. And I also believe this will be the point where MC (Us) and Nicole's relationship will get serious or elevate.

The way it makes sense to me is that Nicole might have been feeling lonely in the last few years because John doesn't really pay attention to her anymore as a woman. Seeing her daughter with a boyfriend, she became jealous, and as a result, she might have unconsciously tried to sabotage her daughter's relationship. We clearly see she is frustrated in the prologue of the game when the MC has the opportunity to spy on her in the bathroom.

Maybe my interpretation is wrong, but it could be that due to her jealousy of her daughter's happiness, she unconsciously became upset about being neglected and projected this feeling onto her daughter. Then, when the "Nicole Payments" come up, she, without much hesitation, accepts it as a way for her to find the release she needed for so long, even if that meant betraying her daughter. After that, at least in the love route, she starts developing real feelings for the MC.

It would be good for Orb to clarify, but in all honesty, I just think that Orb didn't think it through, and the game became bigger than what he expected. So, the beginning of the story is pretty much its biggest weak point for dishing out explicit content fast enough without getting people with no patience to start calling Orb a milker.

yea like 1 dev returned to his game 5 frigging years later.
I understand if the developer left the game without explanation and ran away, then about 2-4 years pass, consider the game already abandoned... but as I remember ORB gave a reason earlier why he abandoned the game for now)))
