Remember all the fun we had trying to work out what Valery's "Perfect" score was ?
I think we have a similar puzzle, this time with Vicky !
Tried to do a "Gameplay" with her, in which she sit with you in the cinema.
The problem is that to do this,
It will strongly affect your relationships
with Ashley and anyone from Jenny's house !?
( She will be, to all intent your main LI )
And I am unsure if that will prove to be a viable path.

i'm pretty certain too many jenny points interferes with mc going to cinema, but other than that mc going with vicky to cinema won't affect relationship with the girls from jenny's group.

In an Ashley route, you have to go to the cinema
While in the Jenny routes you get a choice, (In Susan's office after Free Roam)
To go back to the hotel with Jenny or to stay at the college (go to cinema).
Going to the cinema would prevent you watching over Valery at the Hotel.
Therefore Valery, and Jade will not tell you there background story,
You will not get closer to Rebecca and share her pain
And it will change some later scenes with Jenny (In her Hotel room and at the bar)

if mc romances jenny you don't get that option, the option changes into whether mc wants jenny to accompany him to his room or not, but he ain't got the option to go to cinema.
yeah, you'll miss those particular scenes, but the girls are still romanceable.
This game mainly focuses on points gathered, you can miss out certain scenes as long as you've got enough points invested in the girls. I, for example, missed 1st sex scene with jade, but was still able to access the second sex scene.

Quick question;
During the second sex scene with Jade ( At Jill's) did you get the option to kiss Jade?
As for my attempt.
I based it on my Valery-Jen "Gameplay".
I was hoping to make a Valery/Vicky "Gameplay".
But as I stated above , you then miss out on the "Valery backstory " scene at the hotel, (This could be very important later)
and a small scene with Clint at the college.
This resulted in Ashley losing 3 relationship points, Valery 5 and Jenny 1.
Depending on what the full ( or future ) updated brings
I think we may discover that sitting with Vicky is like making "The promise" !
Not sure if its because of the mod I added to the game, but I tried to back to an old save (same version) and as I was skipping through scenes it kicks me back into the main menu.
I want to start off by apologizing to you. Glancing over my post, I wrote it in a very aggressive and combative way which was completely uncalled for and I am sorry for that. I need to work on communicating with a more neutral tone, especially when im out of.... spinach.
I don't want to continue to derail the thread with this conversation as I feel it's now grown far beyond a discussion centered around AOA. Hopefully I can get my point across with some brevity and we can let this die. Just a heads up i've rearranged a few sentences in your post so I can address one section at a time.
I used Summer's Gone and DeLuca's Family as examples for the very reasons you've stated; they are two of the most popular 'slow burn' VNs currently available and a perfect example for the premise of my argument. While their popularity in the VN community is substantial they still have an extremely hard time being marketable. For example, one of Ocean's recent Patreon goals (albeit reached, but how many times have you seen a developer have to make a goal like this?) and a post about his financial status from a few months ago:
This is where I believe the conversation typically goes off the rails. In my mind it's just a matter of perspective. One side sees adult visual novels as niche porn with a decent or great story as a bonus and the other side sees adult visual novels as a niche storytelling medium with adult content as a bonus. Belonging to the former camp shouldn't invoke the assumption that they're unhappy unless every VN becomes a mindless orgy. I obviously can't speak for everyone but as someone that falls into that former camp if a VN only has mindless sex to offer me I'd rather use Bing. We like stories too but we take issue with VNs that selectively applies its porn logic under the guise of realism. These are still porn games filled with plot holes, inconsistencies, absurdities, and regularly reused DAZ3D renders with anime proportions prepared to die for the main character's horse dick after a span of a few weeks. I just don't see the point in pretending VNs are anything but that at the end of the day. The journey may be different, but the destination remains the same.
Granted. To touch back on what Kukipett said, I still believe this comes down to the developers objective for this game. Hopefully I've done a decent job making my case. If you're a developer and you want to ensure your project is well-funded with a secure income, you need good lewds. Convincing the silent majority of VN consumers to care about your story and game without good lewds is a Sisyphean task. On the other hand, if you're okay with a smaller amount of funding which will allow you to maintain your artistic integrity than that is also a choice you can make.
It is up to every developer to ask themselves that question and dependent upon their answer they must design their plot accordingly. Stories are not static immutable entities which cannot be changed. I found that most recent Patreon post odd for this exact reason. Neglecting to develop a plot in which promiscuity makes sense was not our choice. Shoehorning in g-rated lewds which you felt went against the personality of the characters was also not our choice, we don't write the story.
Do you want money or do you want to maintain your artistic integrity? Generally speaking, the choice is yours but the reality is that you can't have both.

BaDIK way clearly works. There are girls MC can bang right out of the way, while Bella and Jill are slow burns. If you do a lot of CHIK choices, you're locked out of most of sex in later episodes. BaDIK however is a huge game with lots of branching and relies on every college comedy trope ever to work.
They will come once I finish the public release. Currently, I'm focusing 100% of my resources on the public release due to the number of animations and scenes needed to be finished. I'm sorry for the delay!
