I myself quite like Bad and its story tbh tho i mostly play it for Bella Sage and Jill only so there's quite a few girls that i think are cute but ultimately could do without which is the complete opposite with A.O.A and it's girls where i actually like and want to romance all of them sure i got favs but making me care about so many LI all at once is a thing very few games have managed to accomplish i also do enjoy the story more here overall

When i took BAD as example i did not mean to compare the story or the characters, the two games are based on a college setting but are very different also.
What i wanted to explain it's the basic structure of a good game especially when you have to take in account the fact that it will be delivered in many updates during a long period of time.
When you develop such a game you need to think about those facts and not just go on with the story and cut it anywhere or you will piss off many of your customers.
In BAD each update contains a part of the story with a lot of playtime and some events which make each update enjoyable. It's more some modular way to make an update, not just the simple continuation of what happened before.
That's why that game has so much success and the thread of that game here has more than 7000 pages !! Even if there can be up to 5/6 month between two updates.
I AOA the beginning was also very promising because the MC was a very good character, the girls were gorgeous and interesting and the story contains a lot of mysteries. All the ingredients to make a very good game, we all try to guess what's all about Adam and his shady business, what's about Jenny and her strange story, the twisted relation between Jenny her adoptive father and her brother. There is also the mystery about Valery and the other girls seem to have all a trouble background.
But now the dev has to really be cautious about how he will develop his game and cut the content in many updates, there is plenty of stuff as i said to make many little sub-stories that can give the player something to chew on in each update.
The worst would be to let everything be solved in the end after maybe more than a year of waiting and a dev like DPC has perfectly understood the principles of that kind of game.

The whole reason people download the adult games on this website, is because of the fact that they are interactive stories which you can control. Take it from me, I'm published in several different languages. While a book can provide exquisite literature and leave you with intense emotions at the end, it relies on the power of your imagination first and foremost. You cannot make a choice to prevent the MC from making a mistake, you cannot explore what a relationship would look like with that attractive side-character that always catches your attention, and you cannot change how the MC goes about dealing with the antagonist.

Interactive stories are becoming evermore popular these days because they give you the freedom to do everything that was previously mentioned. It's because people prefer to control their own destinies and change their own stories as they see fit, as opposed to a fixed story where you are taken for a ride with no control of what happens. BADIK is not as popular as it is, just due to the art and music elements of it. It is the most popular AVN right now, due to the fact that people can insert themselves into the position of a strapping young man, surrounded by beautiful women. The player base consists of people who want to control how that kind of story goes for them. Do you think BADIK would be as popular as it is, had it been a kinetic novel?

My point isn't about the quality of renders or coding, I was talking about popularity. It looks like slow burn games aren't as popular as normal games. If I want just to read a story I would pick a book, no avn can compete with a good book.


Nobody is asking for a moron MC or a fuckfest, just some sex scenes here and there with our favorite girl. There are plenty of games like that. Don't use sex as the final boss in your game.
The scenes between Jenny and the MC are awkward as fuck in this update because for some reason they can't kiss. If you go her route they like each other, there is no point in slowing down things between them in that case.

Surely you realize that there are literally dozens of AVN's on this site that can fulfill your desires, do you not? And as far as popularity is concerned, I fail to see how 2 million views is a problem. It's popular enough, and I don't see how popularity equates to the actual quality of The AVN. It's actually one of the more popular AVN's on this site, and while it's no BADIK, it's doing pretty great for a "slow burn". Also, the scenes between Jenny and MC are meant to be awkward. Jenny's never felt this way about anyone before. She doesn't know what to do or how to approach her feelings without doing something she'd regret. We see her literally say something to the effect of this during their dressing room scene in Chapter 2. This is all on top of the other issues she has going on and her trying her best to deal with them. She didn't even feel comfortable taking a nap in this latest chapter(just an example to show her current state and how much she is dealing with). Aside from Jenny, almost every other major LI has their own problems and issues that they have to deal with. At the end of the day, it's like you said. There are plenty games out there where you can have some sex scenes with your favorite girl. But if you're not ready to wait, then maybe this isn't the right AVN for you.

CHP.3 Public release progress and my thoughts
Hi everyone! I'm here to report on the progress of the public release and my current thoughts on the project.
Before I begin, I hope that everyone understands that BETA releases are incomplete, and it's especially true in CHP.3, compared to previous releases.
First and foremost, in previous beta releases, I always made sure that almost all, if not all, of the scenes and "adult" - content are finished and implemented along with the release, often at the expense of scenes I'd prefer to make regarding other aspects of the story.
I did this to avoid a certain type of complaint from a certain group of people.
CHP.3 is the first one that doesn't follow this rule. This is simply due to the size and amount of scenes that I have to finish before the final part of the chapter (the night scenes).
I preferred to put the climax of the chapter during the night. Since this chapter doesn't include most of the night scenes, I put a disclaimer to everyone that a significant portion of the chapter is not finished. Apparently, some individuals didn't get the message, so I'll use this opportunity to remind everyone again.
I don't find joy in purposefully blue-balling anyone.
I set up scenes with a certain character so that I can deliver a worthy conclusion during the night, it's really that simple.

Yes, there are scenes in the prologue chapter that didn't belong, and I did that explicitly to avoid this type of 'complaint' from people. In a way, I have to sacrifice a little bit of my vision so that I can sleep in peace.
The first time I felt the pressure to change Jenny's character and rush her arc to completion in a single prologue release, I lost a lot of my faith in my own ability and crumbled to the pressure. The story I had planned and made had to be cut and changed. That's why the first two chapters can feel awkward, it's simply because important story elements are changed or just simply missing. Characters aren't meant to be able to trust you in a single chapter.
Never once in my life, I'd think that I can feel dread and anxiety about something that I've made myself, but that first release made me realize how wrong I was. I will never forget the first week of the prologue's release. It was a terrible experience.
I care about this project, about the characters in the story, and I want to do those characters justice. I believe that this 'arc' based approach I currently have is the best, and allows each character to shine in their own, unique, yet twisted light.
However, this doesn't mean I won't make any adult scenes at all. I will, and there are planned scenes in the current chapter and upcoming chapter too.
That being said, progress is smooth so far. I don't expect delays for both the public and gold release. Thanks again for your support and I will do my best to make something that I can be proud of.

I don't think anyone will stop the author from doing what he wants, but as long as he doesn't charge for it. If it's the sex scenes that most patrons want, then you should only charge them from the moment the sex scenes appear in the game, and do the rest of the creativity at your own expense. I think in this case there will be no negative comments about the author.
P.S.: I'm not a patron, but what I suggested I think is right.
