To be honest it's the game i'm most excited about on here right now. Each update has been fantastic.
Hey everyone,
I want to start this by thanking everyone who have been supportive of this project. Your praise and compliments give me the energy, the strength, and the resolve to keep working. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate you all. I'm going to keep working on this project until its completion and I look forward to hearing all of your feedback as I continue to release chapters.
There are certain aspects of the game I'm willing to compromise on. I don't mind making small additions or alterations to enhance the experience for my audience. In fact, it's been imperative to my growth as an artist to hear your concerns and displeasures.
With that said, there are several things I'm not willing to compromise on. Petal is a mature, educated young adult who is thoughtful and intelligent. The way she speaks reflects this maturity. I'm not going to write any of my characters like babbling babies, petulant children, or however the new age zoomers talk. It's just never going to happen. I don't want to write it and I wouldn't want to read it. (It may help to know that the three young women all have their own specialty. Petal is the smart one, Bliss is the strong one, and Moon is the talent.)
Chester, the MC, is a flawed and imperfect person. I'm not writing him that way accidentally and I haven't made any errors while developing his character. We're even going to learn more about his faults and failures as the story progresses. All of this being intentional. In A Petal Among Thorns, he's developing a relationship with Petal and she's going to help push him forward into a new career path. However, in A Moment of Bliss we'll see Bliss push him to become a better person. There's a lot of character growth coming for him in the sequel. If he started off perfect as some sort of super mega ultra alpha Chad, there'd be no tale to tell. It would be a boring and lifeless story.
This is also not a story where everyone is overdosing on lust and throwing themselves in bed with the MC right away. I find those stories to be terribly boring and there are plenty of videos of such simple and contrived sexual encounters on PornHub. In my stories there will always be a build up for the characters. Rewards are the most fulfilling when they are earned and sex is better after a reasonable amount of teasing, buildup, and anticipation. If I wanted to have sex with a vapid prostitute, I'd go to Vegas.
Myrabelle is here because I too often launch into rather negative territory. She's going to be my representative on F95 to answer questions and respond to positive comments because I'm terrible at keeping my mouth shut when people say mean things about my work and my girls.
There are a lot of exciting events coming up that will be especially magnified for all those that have followed my work up until now. Petal's universe is connected to Avalon's. We're going to see that interconnect soon and fans of my work will be deeply rewarded by some of these events. I'm excited to keep working and I'm thrilled to hear all your comments.

And for me, if he ever becomes some sort of "super mega ultra alpha Chad" I would burn the HDD and discourage everyone who would listen to never go near this game. There is no possible iteration of a character, that would warrant that description, without it being walking diarrhea bursting into every sense of the reader/viewer... IMO

Don't like this game at all. The daughter is very unattractive, and you are forced to masturbate to the other daughter. There is supposed to be a connection between the two of them, and that's why he can't help himself with her, but no he is just a jerk who gets off on all his daughters..

Did you somehow miss the premise and tags associated with this VN? Should you really be this surprised if you exercised just bit of common sense and bothered to read either of the aforementioned or screenshots from the game?? SMH.

Then play one of the other thousand plus games on this site. Pretty much no matter what type of game is to your taste, I pretty much guarantee you'll find several to your liking.

I disagree that the models are "unattractive", its actually one of the best I've seen on this site. I'm actually curious as to which ones are better and if you want, you can PM me the VN names.
Your other criticism though is in my opinion minor-ish but completely valid. The current premise is centered on the romance and strong attraction of only the MC and Petal. I am totally for the game to include the other 2 daughters but the segue/introduction of the other daughters into the current story could have definitely been smoother.
i really wonder this game would tackle the incest stuff, in this game the father always talk about boundaries and stuff but when the sex scene comes it's like the boundaries is slowly being forgotten, it's not bad, but it's kinda making all the talk about it being meaningless. if it was like that let's just not take the topic too seriously and just play around with it like in sisterly lust.
but if the dev intend to make crossing the line is a serious matter, you should really look at hailey's story, because imo that games managed to make crossing the line as heavy enough that it really play the emotion of the player, but not too heavy that it makes the player too scared to continue.
but considering overall atmosphere of the game, i think it's should lean more to sisterly lust since the vibe is kinda the same

Hmm, I like your post but I kind of disagree.
Unlike in Hailey's Story, Petal knows what she wants. She's a bit scared but still eager. The dad needs to be convinced but he's a guy, so...
I disagree about the comparison with Sisterly Lust, I think this one is better dealing with the emotions. It definately helps that is not a harem setting (for now). My fear is that, by introducing the other girls, the special relationship between Petal and the MC suffers.

Yet somehow you still react strongly despite knowing the game is essentially centered on a father and daughter away on a vacation where they develop an incestual bond. I don't have a problem with people expressing a valid or well reasoned opinion, but complaining about something that is central to the theme of the VN seems a bit silly. As far as moving on, I love this VN, and all of the Dev's previous projects, clearly you've already stated how you feel about this one, maybe you should be the one taking your own advice?
There are more than enough games out there with tags more to your interest. If you want something specifically tailored to your taste, I'm sure if you look hard enough, you'll find it, and if not, there's always pornhub. It just seems counterproductive to rant about something you should have known ahead of time you would not like.
i don't mean the story but just the overall way of writing, in hailey's story the vibe of the story is way of hailey trying to convince mc that it's okay to do what they did, hailey scared on bringing mc on this ride, but she know what she wants, resulting in a relatively heavy story and appealing moral dilemma, petal know what she wants, but mc is scared to go along with the ride, that's why i make the comparisson.
while in sisterly lust, although imo there's nothing really similar storywise, the vibe of the game is kinda similar, as in it's not really heavy, there's a bit of backstory here and there that might be heavy, but the way the story is approached never really make me the player feels like it's heavy.
now in term of introducing other girls, i'm not sure how it would turn out, but if the devs has already set on how they would approach it i think it should be fine, besides there's too little to know right now on how other girls would affect the story, i understand that it's worrying but let's just see for a couple update first before we judge

Again I largely agree with your post.
But maybe Hailey's story feels heavier that Petal's, because Hailey's *IS* heavier.
I mean, Hailey is dealing with sexual abuse that happened at the same time when she started to feel attracted to her brother. Petal's father "just" needs to overcome his failed career change and breaking up with his wife. That's heavy enough but on a different level as Hailey.
Yet I feel that both games do justice to the back story, including the heavier parts.
Sisterly Lust on the other hand remains "porn-ish" despite the heavier parts of the backstory. In other words, it's a different kind of game.
While I would put Hailey and Petal in the same category of "realistically written incest", Sisterly Lust is in a different category "incest harem porn story". Not that there is anything wrong with any of these games, all three are great, just with a different intention. In my opinion.
I actually wasn't ranting, I was expressing an opinion, which you seem to have a great problem with. I actually search for incest games, so have no idea what YOU are 'ranting' about? My 'complaint', if you had actually bothered to read it, was centered on the father wanting to get it on with ALL the daughers, and not just the one he was claiming to have a special bond with. Now I have said all I wish to say and will most definitely be moving on. I hope not all threads have this degree of immaturity and bullying..
