I like this story, but I think this fails as a game. It feels like you must use the walkthrough from the very start of your playthrough or you'll miss something and be sunk. I spent about 7 hours playing this trying to get to the point to charm the mom, and realized I never found the hypnosis book and tried to work backwards through the walkthrough and was unable to find characters and events I needed to proceed. Nothing is more frustrating than losing hours of progress because you didn't pick up the random macguffin that you thought was just a simple stapler in the prologue. That kind of game design sucked in 90s pc adventure games and it still sucks now. It's a shame, because I like a lot of what this game has.
