For now reputation unlocks some special options, mostly with Giron letting you do stuff, like giving more time to Emily for paying her debt
I know, but I didn't pay my debt and still been able to do that(just did Livya quest). Not to mention by the time I did get to Emily quest I was able to outright pay her debt if I wanted, but opt to again save my money and extend the time.

I agree reputation could very important, but right now? it's not needed to the point where you need to expend all resources to get it. If I've been blocked due to having low rep during my playthrough I would 100% say that paying your debt is far better choice, but I haven't. And even then the key word is "choice", when someone asks if they can skip it(because now we get into "optimal gameplay choice").

If you do Emily quest before getting rep some other way? That's on the player, not the game. So in that case get the money pay the debt and do Emily quest earlier.

I know too, who the frick wants to pay a fat ass mayor abuser?
Xp ain’t worth this time imo, That’s the beauty of the game as you said, choice.
Player reputation is weird, for now it’s used only in few moments.
Not to mention that you can gain automatically after dome days reputation of you have the mercenaries at Arenfield

So that's weaken the point of having to pay the debt as early as possible, if in fact you can gain reputation passively. Save the money to buy pelts to create and upgrade your armor early and be able to do tougher quest earlier or so you won't have to worry about dying.

And like you said, if you can stiff the mayor out of more money? that's just the cherry on top.

Is it just me, or Jodarr's Ring has a level requirement to be worn now? MC is level 20 and has learned Witchcraft yet he still can't wear it.
I don't remember. I've just dug it out and equip it when I was working Penny's fields (0.5.0.0 update)

It's an accessory, anyway.

Anything that has the potential to bring another dick into the situation gets people riled up. While the MC fucking everything that moves is fine obviously.
I understand your question. Sometimes the MC seems to be in a porn movie. But if you consider this to be a sex game as well as an adventure then we have to accept all that lust. In fact, the very name of the game already makes the plot clear. My only criticism is the MC saying "I love you" to all women (or at least some). This creates a commitment that up front can be demanded by the girl.

1. we don't know how import it is yet, so can't really rely on it as "be all".

2. exp can be farmed, and you'll gain much more exp by just straight up doing the quest I mentioned.

3. the house can be lockpicked, which again is a lot cheaper early game then paying 20 gold. By the time you build up the 20 gold you can finish up multiple quests, get full leather set for everyone and buy enough materials to upgrade said set with all the plates you need. This is your weakest point, as both methods allow you to create it.

Your strongest point is the reputation, but until I see a reason why it's important and why missing 1 point of it is important I don't see why when someone asks "can I skip paying my debt" my only answer should be "think of your reputation"
I agree. It doesn't seem traumatic for the plot not to pay the debt. 20 gold coins at the start is a fortune! The lost XP from the quest you easily make up for by killing orcs and bandits. Getting in and out at midnight is also very easy. And up front, I don't think you're going to lose anything in history just because you didn't pay the baron. Even because he paid later in exchange for the mercenaries.

As I told you, you'd better learn sewing from Frisha as soon as possible, therefore you need your house early.

Saving money for buying pelt? well, I've never bought pelt in 3 whole gameplays: I DID SELL IT.

Hunting and cutting logs; killing orcs at hunting ground and while watching Tia cutting logs; playing cards with Grant. Do it and collect a lot of money.

I payed my debts because this is what the questlog told me to do.

This is what I'd recommend.

You don't need to pay your debt to learn sewing, so I don't get your point... you learn sewing to create armor and I told you I created full set for everyone plus put plate in all the slots before paying my debts.

Thanks for proving my point that there are many ways to gain exp which don't involve spending 20 gold early game

ok, the quest log told me to save Emily from the bandits then it told me to help Livya with her quest and then told me to talk to the baron, and by the time I did all that I didn't need to pay my debt...so I don't see your point.

And one last point, you said "that's why I'd recommend" sure I have not problem with that. But that's not the question that was originally asked, if they asked "what order quest should I do?" that'll be an more helpful response, but they wanted to know if they could get out of paying the debt which is execty what I originally answered.

You can sew when you lockpick your house at midnight. The time restriction is inconvenient, but it's better than giving money to Giron.

Most of the “I love you” can be avoided, like in 90% of them you can just have a casual sex relationship.
Frisha, Emily, Bianca, et cetera.
In some of them you don’t even get the option to say “I love you”, Like side girls (Hiba, Ayita…).
So it’s not really a big deal if the MC has a big dick and a big heart.
We are already taking care of most girls problems since getting laid and having lovers brings responsibilities, in the future we will even probably have a big ass harem.

I do wonder what's the difference will be in the future, is the "I love you" more for the "pure" route or it will be just difference dialog/scenes. In the WT in some cases like in one or two characters it says that you can say "I love you" or "stay in a corruption" style relationship or something along in those lines.

Simple and clear, everything in this game has consequences and so does the loving declarations.
After all after you begin a love route you can pump corruption points and still be in a love route with more sex but not viceversa.
A corruption route or a casual sex route remains one.
For example in Emily’s case, if you go with “I love you” and play your cards right, you can obtain the harem and sex scenes with Emily and Mira.
Or in another case with Bianca, Bianca love route is emotional and changes also her routine, but Bianca corruption is just pure sex.
Imawyn route has like 2 corruption and only one love.

I guess I got unnecessarily worried about it, I though that "love" would lock me into more a of "pure route" but that doesn't really make too much sense for the rest of the game. I mean Tia was all "I'll keep you all to myself" till you give her a bit of a "taste".

Sometimes I make my life harder for no reason :ROFLMAO:

I wonder how big the village harem would be in the sense of "group sex", as of now it appears it's fairy locked to the people who live in the same house which makes sense(except Rummah sort of, kinda of a "big house"). But if/when we do travel to another city this game is going to really be gigantic in terms of quest and npcs if Chyos plan is to give any new city as much care as the main village.

This remind of The Last Sovereign in that sense, it started small, your "main" girls where the party members and then it started to blow up with harem members. But it's a bit less "organized" in this game(there is a list of "main girls" in that game, and it's not as much of a sandbox), but nevertheless I'm looking forward to whatever crazy ideas this game is moving towards.

Ah Last Sovereign is a good game that I should continue one day.

Chyos in discord gave us a sneak peak on how Kirlic will be, but if doesn’t winnext poll on discord we aren’t going to see much.
Surely next year will be developed, and it’s gonna be as detailed as Arenfield, so it’ll take even more time to fully develop it.

We have already 2 bases, your home(not yours literally) and the mercenary camp, not to mention all the other homes where we can have free dinner.

DW we all make our life harder for no reason.
The fun thing about Tia is, that even at full corruption she remains jealous in a more libertine way and she hates some of yours, like Hiba (she literally calls her useless slut)

The beauty of Giron’s debts are that you can always fuck him.
Fuck him by being a mercenary leader
Fuck him by building an orphanage
Fuck him by fucking his wife
And yet we still haven’t seen the best
You can also Fuck him by robbing him (Dress for Liandra and Lyvia, aswell as rune stone and Gold for Bianca)

This is actually a far weaker point... it's easy to gain 20 Gold early simply by running around the maps with Tia and cutting down elder wood.
The exp gain from paying your debt can abe achieved without figthing and can be several free levels if you are low enough.
So that's weaken the point of having to pay the debt as early as possible, if in fact you can gain reputation passively. Save the money to buy pelts to create and upgrade your armor early and be able to do tougher quest earlier or so you won't have to worry about dying.

You gain reputation each time you pay your taxes... wether that is by haveing your Mercs guard Arenfield or actually pay the money is up to the Player, but you can only start earning reputation that way AFTER paying your debt to the mayor.

Right because there is no such thing as Polygamism and people can only truely love one person.

Could we all agree that the game offers different approaches on everything and you are free to explore those?
There is no BEST way to play the game, play it like you enjoy it and let everyone get their own experience...
