Description

This is mostly me redoing renders that used old ghost lights which I stopped using in chapter 6 onwards. Also, the images were rerendered for double the time they were originally rendered. These are the last two chapters that I plan to rerender, next release will be chapter 10 and new content.

Change Log

• 128 images rerendered in Chapter 4 (full chapter)
• 83 images rerendered in Chapter 5
• New lighting rigs added to all indoor images
• New camera angles were added to some images, essentially removing seeing the roof of rooms.
• Not too many bug fixes were needed but some clipping was fixed, and Simon's neck was twisted in a weird way in some images.

There is 268 images being created in chapter 10, I've setup 201 of them in total and rendered 182 images in total.

There is a kitchen scene which has a spotlight in it for shining more light through the window, this means these images take 5 hours instead of the usual 2 hours, I have finished rendering them now but it slowed me down a bit.

I do have an outdoor scene to setup and render, typically these take longer to render as well, but I'm hoping to finish this update by the end of February. Sadly I think it might be early March though.

Just a reminder, this is the last free chapter as chapter 11 is the end, so there will be a charge for last chapter, but this charge is for a "completed story". I'll announce the price when I first post devnote for chapter 11

Since it's the final chapter, I figured I post dev notes here.

Chapter 11 - Dev Note 2 - A Town Called Tool

Added a new stage below, Photoshop fixes which there is always something to do in Photoshop. Like, for example, in scene 4 which is an outside scene, I rendered the location and models separately and combined them in Photoshop. I do this because I like to render the models at 2160p, then scale down as it helps with white spots. The hair cap on Jane tends to have a lot of white spots after rendering.

Scene 4 has 26 images, so it's a lot of work in this scene but this last chapter has a lot of work, there are going to be 343 images in total, and this most likely will change as I develop.

I don't want to spoil but there was a new prop and new location that are important to the story I needed to sort out, I got the new prop sorted and think I got a new location resolved but I've not got to setting that part up yet.

Development is always slower than I like but quite a bit done in 30 days.

There are multiple main characters in this but the main character you follow the most is Simon, there is no NTR with Simon (or anyone else), and yes he gets a lot of action, but it's not just him that gets action as there are multiple characters that do.

As for humiliation, I don't know what you consider humiliating. Still, I would say there is some "humiliation", it's not as full-on as I think you mean but the story does revolve around actions being done towards Simon. That begins pretty quickly, and other scenes with other characters would be seen as humiliating for them.

Most people have their own interpretation of what a tag means, so I don't care too much for tags and what my story is or not, I wrote a story and I allow others to decide what it is.

I would say my VN has light humiliation but it is very story-driven, with no choices and you click through and read.

There are now 341 images in this chapter, it's essentially a double chapter which is why it will take the longest to develop, unfortunately.

141 out of 341 images have been rendered, and 163 images have been set up.

The next stage is mostly indoors and these renders are usually faster, I render when I'm asleep and indoor scenes are faster to render. There are 15 more outdoor scenes to set up and render, next 4 scenes are indoors and they account for 161 of the remaining images to do.

I wanted to release this in July but there is no chance of that now. I need this done and released by September, but it is more important to do it right and not rush it.

I have finished the final chapter and I finished it a couple of weeks ago. However, I have been looking through the novel and sad to say, there are fixes needed, specifically in chapters 6,7 and 8. So going through that, I'm almost finished with chapter 7.

We're now moving into the "Preparing for Launch" stage, so dev notes will be replaced with this.

I'm now prepping for submitting to Steam, once I have submitted it. Steam will take 3-5 business working days to accept or reject. If accepted, then once my store page goes live, there will be 2 weeks before the novel releases. This is to drum up interest and I have come up with a 14-day marketing plan to go with the 2-week wait.

We're on the home stretch now but sadly, due to fixes, the home stretch is longer than I first thought. Sorry folks, I'm self-taught and it was a big learning curve. I'll keep you updated as I always do.
