I cant believe my eyes, why would the story be distorted in such way? it feels like he just wanted to add some twist to the story and asspulled it, wtf
Total asspull, yes.

Usually, these are an indicator of a Midlife crisis. - Produce feelings of intense depression, remorse, and high levels of anxiety, or the desire to achieve youthfulness or make drastic changes to their current lifestyle or feel the wish to change past decisions and events. - At what point, did Dylan think Sophia was in a "Midlife Crisis?" What hints were there? I didn't see anything about her being in a midlife crisis from a reader's perspective.

I understand what he was trying to do, but it makes no damn sense at this point in the story. Maybe down the road, we might get more insight. But now I'm having a hard time seeing this playing out realistically.
Here's the thing, if Dylan thought she was having a midlife crisis, why not do something like spend more time with her by offering to go shopping with her, bringing her breakfast in bed, you know, the kind of things he was doing, not going up to the local town hoodlum and asking him to make his own mother dress more provocatively.

If this was genuine blackmail from Aiden, I still wouldn't like it but I wouldn't have as much of a problem, but knowing that it's all Dyaln's fault has made it so much worse and completely ruined Dylan's character. He could have just done some nice things for his Mom to try and cheer her up and to give her some words of encouragement if he thought she was feeling down and depressed, but this is such a ludicrous and bullshit way of creating one of the worst parts of this game.

What I’m more concerned about is Sophia attitude toward her children . If you remember the viagra incident, after it Sophia « scolds » Ellie. Something like « this is not nice young lady and it was dangerous ». Well, Ellie pretty much respond with an attitude of : « yeah, yeah... I don’t give a fuck about what you’re saying... don’t forget that we’re going to the club tonight » . And Sophia just goes along with this. Add to that the multiple times Dylan grabbed Sophia on « accident » and she would get mad but no punishment either. And now we have this shit where Dylan is getting away with it pretty well. I know some people are joking when they say that she’s a nun regarding her sexuality but it might not be far from the truth regarding her forgiveness.

My question is this about the blackmail since it's in play and you didn't send Dylan to boarding school. How is this going to play out with future events with Aiden? As I said, this will be his "Ace in the hole" if something starts to go wrong on the Dylan path since Dylan started the blackmailing. If Aiden did reveal to Sophia that Dylan's set her up, Would she believe him... Also, how would this help or lead to something between Dylan and Sophia???

As you and Holy said, it's distorted.

Hahaha duuuude calm down. The scumbag is Aiden!! he took the deal and changed it without Dylan knowing it. Dylan did it in order for Sophia's concern that he thought that she was going through some midlife-crisis and her age so he wanted that she would dress sexy and feel desired and admired to maybe boost her mood, to realize how gorgeous she is even at her age.

AIDEN! was the one who ruined everything of the deal and forced Sophia to do the tasks or he'll beat up Dylan, he may be lying but he is lying in order to get more from Sophia than Dylan originally intended. Dylan was hoping to help Sophia's mood or confidence and Aiden didn't give a fuck and changed that for his own benefit through the ignorance of both Sophia & Dylan.

You're a Patreon, ask L&P!

I'm not either, I wanted to keep Dylan close to Sophia and just do the tasks up to a point when Sophia or Dylan will stop the Blackmail, it was originally fake but it turned real when Aiden start adding more tasks.

Or someone who's concern about his mother and thinks she is going through a crisis and that even younger men can look and admire her even at her age. Was it badly executed the plan, yes!!! but he had good intentions.

I don't know. Depends on when do you send Dylan away because if Sophia rejects the blackmail from the beginning then there aren't any tasks and Dylan is off to a boarding school, isn't it? or the boarding school is only available after doing the first or second task?

Yeah, from Sophia's perspective Dylan automatically rejects joining in, only on Dylan's perspective do you have the choice of joining them or not, which I think it's better if Dylan joins them for a scene with Patricia.

I much preferred it too actually, I ONLY preferred that Dylan fucks Sophia that's why I'm not doing any other path. No judgment from me.

No, at least not yet anyway, in the self-defense lessons, Sophia doesn't know about the deal, Dylan doesn't know about Aiden's new extra tasks and going over the deal and Dylan hasn't confessed to Sophia about the deal, everything is going without any of them knowing the truth.

Dylan didn't know what Aiden was doing until Sophia mentioned it and asked about the tasks. He made a mistake but he is not a scumbag, just a bad judgment to recruit a bully in order to convince Sophia to dress sexy and feel better by the rest of the students admiring her but NOT the rest of the tasks.

Exactly!! at least that's what I hope. :sneaky::love: That he would defend and protect Sophia from Aiden who took the deal and twist it for his benefit. It was meant to make Sophia feel better about herself and her age and appearance NOT to humiliate her in front of the class.

Exactly!! you're right!. It was Aiden the asshole who turned a well-intended plan to boost Sophia's confidence from her students admiring her for her beauty regardless of her age by dressing sexy to just humiliate her in front of everybody and coercing that he would beat up Dylan if not complying.
I am agreeing with a Dylan fan I need a large drink:oops:

If you are talking about Dylan he has some leverage over Aiden already
On this path, blackmail path, Sophia doesn't know, Zac won't know.
Zac was the one who informed Dylan. Right?
If Sophia accepts it is too late. It is possible, that all tasks will put them on Sophia's days off.

I have mixed feelings about the blackmail revelations, too complex to set down here & now. (I'm assuming nobody wants a mini-essay on the subject). BUT just think....Dylan's bruising must have been caused by sports activity after all. So he wasn't lying about it, or did he really stand there & take it? [I only did something like that once at school, because I thought I was tougher than I was. After gasping for breath & rolling around for a while, I decided never, never, ever to do it again].
What I applaud wholeheartedly is L&P's ability to surprise us. So, the game is branching out all over the place & is somewhat chaotic at the moment....just like RL. Also this update I became a real Alyssa fan....sigh.
We need an update for Christmas. We deserve it!

Dylan said that Sophia wouldn't listen him and just tell him he is talking rubbish

Dylan's bruising was self inflicted through sports as you say Dylan, admitted this to Sophia.

So we now have Shy, Shady, and Perverted "Young Adult." But L&P wants you to think Dylan is misunderstood and confused because of hormones?

But Zac told everything to Dylan, right? So, Dylan knows that Aiden was crossed the line.
Either that and he faked it again in front of his mother not knowing about the tasks (that would also imply that he's the instigator behind the tasks), or Zac never told him anything and he's the butt of the joke.

For a blackmail, Sophia as new in town and without a turbulent past, the only material is family. If you start the story with this you don't have many options.
Who is the bad guy? husband, son, daughter.

But it still doesn't change the fact that he didn't need to ask him to do that. Aiden is asking of something of Dylan, Dylan has no reason to ask anything of Aiden. This is not a quid pro quo because if Dylan doesn't do what do Aiden wants, he'll continue bullying him. Dylan has no leverage to say, "if you don't do what I want, I won't do what you want", because he'll just get beaten up.

We've seen examples of Dylan doing things with Sophia like going shopping with her, bringing her breakfast in bed, so if he's capable of doing these things, why would he not think that this is a way to try and cheer his Mom up from what he perceives is a midlife crisis? He's also a massive fucking idiot to think that scumbag Aiden wouldn't pull something like this and he's also an idiot because he giving Aiden so much leverage over him by asking him to do this.

It's honestly a terrible way to justify an already crappy subplot of this story because it ruins a perfectly good character by turning them into a total fucking dipshit.

Not anymore.

Fuck his intentions! Good intentions mean fuck all when the way you try to make good on them results in terrible outcomes.

"Yes, I know I ran over all those people with my car and many of them died, but my wife was giving birth in the backseat and I was trying to get to a hospital, so my intentions were good."

But Zac told his mother that Sophia is not wearing bra.

Well, another 6 months for the next update. I wouldn't mind the short amount of content if the game updated just a bit more frequently. *sigh*

The blackmail is fake. Dylan and Aiden made some sort of deal whereby Dylan will do something for Aiden in exchange for Aiden getting Sophia to dress more provocatively and do slutty because Dylan thinks it will make her feel better. So he's essentially offered her up to this scumbag to do with what he pleases and now Dylan has also become a scumbag.
I wouldn't call Dylan a scumbag per se, but definitely an idiot for trusting someone like Aidan in the first place. Regardless, I would prefer to see how this "little" twist plays out.
