Right. I was talking about Bennet because for me he writes himself out of the story pretty easily. (at least before his storyline was “modified).
As for the other characters...
I have absolutely no clue as to what might happen at the end of their stories.
The tone of the game is pretty much on the “vanilla side” of the line.
(A woman that was almost raped and killed by some thugs, then the next day her neighbor drugged her and tried to force himself on her, then the day after that, her son “sneaked” kiss her on the lips and all she reacted was with a:“oh you little scoundrel...” (not exactly but pretty much)
Or : “Hello! It’s me Sophia ! I’ve almost been rapped twice and now I’m looking at my daughter nipple through a mirror... I’m perfectly fine emotionally and psychologically speaking .. What should I cook for dinner ?...”)

But it’s still trying to be realistic (for what’s left of realism at this moment in the game).
All of that to say : I have no idea

It is clear that there is no "emotional transfer" between events. Sophia leaves brainwashed after each event.
Something still remains, e.g.: after each of Aiden's tasks, Sophia comes home and plays with her clitoris The first time with Nathalie's help and the second time alone.

I mostly agree with you. However, for consistency, I do have to say that I think removing Bennett was a fine alteration to the story. One thing I have blasted this game for is that there are too many stories for L&P to juggle. While it may have been interesting in the planning stages, the limited in-universe time that this game takes place in does not allow for so many stories. Cutting Bennett was one of those things that was the right move, but he should have committed to it more fully.

On the same note, I do appreciate that he cut the coaching story. I think this was strategically wrong, but I get it. At least we aren't opening up another storyline that won't go anywhere.

But to your main point, yes, taking feedback is important for a creator. But if the feedback threw him for such a loop that this update soared to 900+ renders; then he didn't do a good job of planning. If our criticisms required this update to grow by 100% its original size, then there are major structural issues in how he assembles and plans the story and updates. But, even if the feedback impacted nothing about this update, there are still major structural issues.

Basically, I can't help but look at this update and think it's a project management disaster. For all the technical competence he shows, the management of this project is sabotaging all of his hard work. This update is passing the 120 day mark, and will likely push 150 days. People are going to demand that this update deliver significant advances to the story and also provide sexual growth for Sophia. Baby steps are going to be hard to swallow. At 90 days, updates already have some pressure on them, but at 150 days the pressure to deliver is going to be almost impossible to meet. If L&P can't get his organizational shortcomings under control, we will not have another update this year. And if we go an entire calendar year with only a single update this game could become notorious for all the wrong reasons.

The problem here, if I'm reading his comment correctly, he is comparing version 0.115 to his current version pace of 0.130. He can't do that as they are of different sizes of content. He needs to understand that he has to make the comparison to something similar in nature.

Sorry Alley_Cat, I know you're a titan on this forum and I don't want to throw any disrespect your way but are you high? It's been obvious to many for a while now and should be increasingly obvious to everyone else that the "plan" is a loose outline and nothing more, and that any character or planned event can be changed, added, dropped, or have their anatomy changed, on a whim.

We've been here before but you pose moral questions that are too deep for proper considered discussion on this thread. I'll try & keep things relatively light & on topic. Do we check in our moral compasses when we play porn games like AWAM? No but we do choose to engage with fictional characters, in this case as a form of escapism, where the boundaries applicable to RL don't exist. We may come to care about the people in this fictional world. Some fans might even identify with them to varying degrees. When we do, it becomes a tribute to the Dev's skills at creating such personalities.

I don't feel guilty playing these games because they're not real. (I refer you to my previous comments about war films & murder mysteries). Similarly, why should you feel guilty if you are tempted to play out scenarios that would repel you in RL? Play them, even if just out of curiousity. Then, if necessary, forget them. As we're all here for entertainment (& not to spread evil in a world weighed down with it), it's natural to hope for certain elements within a story but it doesn't mean that this is what we wish would happen in the real world. Could we be moral heroes or perverted pigs? Perhaps both but really I think neither.

There are a number of elements in some games at which I draw a line but it's for each individual to decide where that line is. When I come across something that I find truly sickening, I stop playing that game. We've got such freedom of choice when it comes to porn, as with so many other things. It's also the case, whether for good or ill, that porn of all kinds has never been so readily available as it is today. As we are here, on this thread, it's obvious that we've chosen to take advantage of this fact.

OK, so incest doen't interest me & blackmail does. That's my choice. Have I played any incest-driven scenes in AWAM? Yes but I don't feel guilty or hypocritical, because I'm curious & this isn't real. I won't be having a stern talk with myself. This is a game/VN to enjoy, before anything else. We could all stop speculating wildly or agonising about it through the simple expedient of more frequent updates, or even if they just came out on time!
