In my opinion, the idea of pictures only works after the Morello event. Sophia is not allowed to deliver anything to Aiden beforehand that would make the breakup by Morello impossible. Later, however, these pictures would make the extortion route more credible. If Sophia is really that stupid to send Aiden such pictures and then to believe it has no consequences.
