DRM, no DRM, I don't think that's even important right now. What I find frustrating is that, as always, L&P can't follow up on things he said, making all kinds of weird and confusing statements about this new feature, development progress, reason for delays and whatnot. Like, if we were to line-up all of the statements and patreon posts from L&P regarding this update, no human being with a couple working braincells could come here and be like; "Yup, that makes total sense! I trust the guy!".
Seriously, check his early posts and compare them with his latest statements. Anyone who thinks this makes any sense has lost some of their marbles. I don't know what the fuck he's doing, but what I do know is that it smells like bullshit.
Remember when he said in the beginning that the development might have to stop for a little while for this "special feature", and how it wouldn't have to be for long? How does that make any sense with what's happening right now?
Remember when L&P said he's found several highly skilled artists to work with, one of them possibly able to help with scene creation in the future (but not in DAZ)? That he was still missing someone for the "last part"? And now he's suddenly only has 1 helper, and according to a post from a patron a couple pages back, he's already replaced that guy 3 times? I personally don't believe for a second that he's got a helper at all. What was the request on F95 about? Why would he need someone to explain how to import/export stuff to Blender etc. when he's got several highly skilled artists at hand? Ones who apparently work with Blender.
Remember when there were screenshots of patrons asking for what's the deal with this new feature, being worried about development time and whatnot? And how L&P said he'd have to do it "now" because it would already be visible in the upcoming release, and that people would be so fucking thankful and appreciative, asking for a "little patience"?
Remember when he said he had to wait on his "helper" to continue his work on this update? And now he can somehow start working on the next update while this "helper" is still working on the "special feature"? What stopped him from working on this update if the new feature is apparently a somewhat stand-alone thing that can be worked on while L&P already moves on to the next update? Are you telling me that an animation or two takes several months to make? There's no way, especially not when the update is supposedly short.
I could keep going for another 10 paragraphs, but then someone might start crying about me making lenghty posts. Anyway, you get the point.
It's not like I enjoy criticizing L&P, thing is that there's not much else to do with all the bullshit he's pulling off. I'd much prefer discussing the game. If L&P for once were able to do what he tells us, we could've possibly already have update 2/10. But no, we're only looking at never ending bullshit instead.
