Are people expecting animations? Animations of what? From the pool water? Wind in your hair? Or is someone expecting animations in the sex scenes, in a sexless game?

If you think about it, the game has grown in general and the characters have grown, it just doesn't make sense without a team, at this rate, unfortunately, in 4 years we will get what we would get in 2 years with a command and management.

Afaik for the longest time he had/has quite the aversion towards hiring more people for rendering/setting up scenes and now that he has a animator it might accelerate a little bit ;P

Agree many scenes were quite cringe or the Asian boy scene and the dialog with her ?sister? cant remember was over-the-top but for me they set a certain pace of story progression which more or less devolved into story regression at a snails pace.

I don't think he's "milking" in the same way I don't think Oceanlab is milking. They're both artists first, game developers 2nd. LP keeps finding new routes to make and new ways to render, like his latest thing with the god-rays and wanting to make the best animations in the history of the world. Next, he'll probably want cinematics or go crazy with the new volumetrics Daz added. Adding more routes is particularly bad, as LP himself has said he struggles with writing sometimes.

Whereas Ocean constantly remakes things because he wants the best things possible for his game. Not to mention he is making 2 games at once, and has redone them both and still remaking one of them. Another comparison is Enyo, he's remade False Hero about 10 times by now and has never made a deadline (I'm not joking). LP doesn't remake things, he just keeps adding more and more stuff that drags development down the rabbit hole.

I fully expect the animator to eventually leave, or more likely LP will get frustrated and fire them (like he supposedly already did to another helper or two). But speaking of remaking things, you have to re-render animations sometimes, and since LP is the one rendering them, I wouldn't be surprised if he is already remaking one of them, hence the animation progress not moving and the teaser delay.

So, I don't think he's milking. To me, milking = doing as little work as possible with intent to prolong the development process. Or not working at all, while still taking payments. LP does the opposite, he keeps adding more stuff to work on. But I don't think he is serious about completing the game either. He knows this current pace is completely unsustainable. Or if he doesn't, he has horrible awareness.

Either way, this all leads to the same outcome. This game never being completed.

I think the reason is that he's not a game designer, he can't create a team, maybe he just doesn't understand it.
Since I absolutely do not understand his reasoning in terms of the fact that it is enough to conduct a test task, let's say he is writing an event script, the storyboard can even be schematically done, as directors and game designers do, who absolutely do not know how to draw, but they need to show it somehow.
Then he checks the candidates, gives them a test task. As a result, he chooses the best for himself and takes him to the team. This is how the issue is solved in order to find a person with a similar style, but first you need to issue a game design document, describe everything.
I don't think he did everything on purpose for so long, he's just a great visual artist and has a good erotic taste, but as a project manager he's generally bad, unfortunately, it seems to me that he could participate in the production of scenes in absolutely other areas, and he would be successful, he has everything the same talent is certain and taste.

I think he would cut down even more money, I would even become his patron if the game was updated and there was more content in it, that's how it is, and that's why I usually go to this forum only when an update comes out, but it's fucking delayed)))

I have never accused L&P of milking his pratons but I do think that he was very nieve and never understood fully how much of an undertaking this game would turn out to be.
A complex plot with far too many characters and too much branching in the game where he could of just used the Parker family and close friends to get the result he wanted.
We have all seen the renders balloon out of proportion(the prison visit/fashion show/Aidens 3rd tasks just to name a few and then the bright idea of shorter updates to get them out quicker,yea sure.
I wish he would pause all payments and step back a moment and let a friend or even a script writer to look at his story and make changes to it when needed,plan a head and have a clear idea of where you want the game to go.
Get somebody who can speak to your fans without insulting them and stop being so tight lipped about the story as its not the coca cola ingredients you are guarding.

he does this more and more on Patreon. He also answers Questions if you as a Patreon member write him an E-Mail. He just does not speak to people here because most of the hostility and toxicity every time in this thread

As for the Story. I always thought he knows exactly where he is going thats also how he has set up events far into the future.

I agree he could be faster but in the end he also explained a lot why there was this delay this time and how he had to search for a person already three times .

A valid criticism, I think he's getting too ambitious, and he can break his face later on when he sees he won't be able to handle what he wants to do.
We're talking about a fucking porn game, history is welcome, but if I wanted something supreme, I'm going to read a book.
In my opinion, he wastes a lot of time on frivolous things, which don't add anything significant to the game. As you said, there are many routes, and it will become increasingly difficult to interconnect them. And at the current rate, it will take years to complete (I have my doubts about that), and it will end up getting obsolete and lost in time. There are fervent fans here, but I wonder if they will still be 5-6 years from now.

why would he budge from his view? He has a vision for his game and where it goes. This is actually pretty normal for an artist. In the end he explains why it is happening not how you can tell him what should change.

Andgiving the comments on Patreon people support his vision. Why should he care what this forum thinks about him and his game? He does not need patreons to make a iving. He already have these patreons unlike many other smaller developer or games here.
