If someone does not like Dylan or thinks he is taking too much away from other paths that they like, like the lesbian path, then the next year RL will be frustrating (not that the prior few years have not been frustrating for most of us with the increasingly SLOOOOW development time).

We have the end of the current PD (13) and we have 4 events that include Dylan in some fashion, and at about 3 months/update, we will not see PD 14 content until 2024.

If someone does not like lesbian content, then they have had their frustrations with how L&P is spending his time as well. They could as easily wish L&P would cut all the lesbian content to get to the 'good' hetero content.

He has chosen to create a complex story with many fetishes to appeal to a very broad group of people and that is part of the appeal of AWAM - there is almost something for everyone.

I was a paying supporter for years, but I had 0 interest in the Dylan cuckold route or the Bennett blackmail route (one is still here and getting more story and the other is currently on hiatus).

I would have actually liked it if L&P showed Liam cheating on Sophia very early on (boss's youngest daughter at the clothing store was a perfect way to start hinting at this) and this could have given Sophia a reason to start thinking about other men (and women) since Liam is working such long hours (and seems to be getting some on the side because if he is not, why isn't he pressing Sophia for more sex) but L&P ignored this obvious way to advance Sophia's story.

Now we have (in no particular order but all Not my fetish and time wasters - to me):

Dylan cuckold points

Ellie bitch points (I think Ellie is a great character and this feels like she is going to become a victim - letting assholes like Logan take advantage of her - is L&P going to make her a cuckqueen?)

Shota boys (are we heading towards group sex with 'young' 18 year olds...)

Old Men (are we heading towards a dp with two grandpas?)

I'd bet that > 90% of those who enjoy AWAM would be happy to get rid of some of the content that they are not interested in for faster development of content that they really enjoy.

My thoughts:

However many events Dylan has between now and PD 30, I feel like Every one that spends time on the cuckold path is a waste where the time could be better spent on other paths.

But I recognize that there are those who feel differently:

For those who only want Dylan to be cuckolded or only want Ellie to be a victim of a cheating boyfriend who will repeatedly take advantage of her, they will be getting more content since the foundation of AWAM has been laid and now this can become a bigger part of the story.

In the end, I'm staying because there is still enough content to interest me and enough good discussion to spend the time I do on this forum. Yes - the development speed has slowed to the point where I will no longer support L&P with $. I can only hope that enough supporters stop with the $ support to prompt L&P to make the changes needed for much faster development... but I'm not holding my breath.

it's very interesting to me that not a single person can answer the question I previously asked, like specifically where Sophia should have sex with someone not named Liam in the AWAM story.

If we're sticking with side story idea then they should be more spread out, right now Dylan is the character the story has focused on the most other than Sophia, and two of Sophia's story's are also directly tied to Dylan. If the PoV is going to switch to other characters, maybe have shorter side stories for all of Sophia's family members; Liam, Dylan, Patricia, and Ellie can all have short little side stories we could cut to, to help influence their characters a bit. There are more creative ways for complications to arrise, while still keeping the focus on Sophia. For example Liam. If Sophia primarily ignores him, he gets that lustful look during the wedding gown scene and we can make a choice for him. Have more of those little flit aways. That's a good way of still influencing the others and how their stories are playing out, while keeping the story primarily focused on Sophia.

Or add in some more variables like Dylan cuck and Ellie Bitch so that the choices Sophia makes influence the behavior of the other characters. Then we only have to leave Sophia for a couple of renders just to get the implication that whether Sophia is intending it or not, she's influecing Dylan / Liam into Cuckholdry or swinging or whatever other variable. An example for this is Dylan; say a couple of times in part one Sophia will be doing something with Dylan then switch to Sam as soon as he enters the picture. This causes Dylan to start building those cuckhold points, so when we get the to scene with Claire at the salon, if Dylan has lets say > 5 cuckhold he won't say anything when he catches Devon staring, but if it's between 2 and 5 he'll mention it, but avert his eyes or otherwise show some sort of submissiveness to Devon, < 2 and he'll jump up and be angry that Devon is perving. All of that can be done without ever giving Dylan PoV. Same for Ellie and Patricia have a couple different variables for them as well let them have a bitch variable and lesbian variable for example.

That some see the Dylan story as a kind of side story is completely incomprehensible to me. The title of the game itself indicates that Sophia is shown in her role as a wife and mother, which clearly also brings Liam, Dylan and Ellie into focus. You could see quite well that L&P had planned a wider content for Liam as well, at least in the beginning. He even had a story part from his perspective (as a 3rd main charater) in the game. However, if you look at the polls, Lima didn't catch on with the players that well. Dylan and Ellie on the other hand, are popular with the players, which makes Dylan as a 2nd main, the perfect choice. Dylan simply brings the most depth, for content that many of the players obviously find very interesting.

Also, in the story up to this point, Sophia is one of the most inactive characters I've seen. She shows zero initiative and just drifts along with the influences that strike on her from the outside. It is the characters around her that drive the story forward (and unfortunately often have to force it, like in the Aiden story line). Therefore, if anything, it's more fitting that Dylan chooses a observer role from his own impulse.

L&P has chosen a really good approach here, because he really allows the player to see more depth in the story with Dylan's point of view. I, at least, hope that L&P will continue to build on this idea and thus develop a real dynamic in the game. Even Dylans perspective on the events between Sophia and Sam will be an enrichment, i think. It doesn't matter whether the two act as opponents or allies. The key is that it creates complications that make the story interesting.

No-one is saying that the Dylan route is a side story. What I (and perhaps others) am saying is that content that doesn't have an effect on Sophia, like the Dylan/Amber path or the side jobs, can be easily dropped. Particularly since we're looking at 30+ years until the game is finished. Then perhaps the idea could be revisited, like the Coach Sophia storyline.

I totally agree with you that AWAM needs more focus on the main story line. It's just that for me, besides Sophia also Dylan and Ellie are a part of the main story. They are the charakters of whom Sophia is the mother in AWAM. It makes sense to know their interconnections with characters who also have a relationship with Sophia. Dylan/Amber is a perfect example for that. Especially the symmetry between the two and the relationship between Sophia/Sam gives so much depth to the story that I'm surprised that this is even questioned.

With the rectangle between Dylan/Amber/Sophia/Sam I hope that L&P will push the story forward a lot more, but even the past has had events in which the view from Dylan's perspective was crucial for the story.

This event was only possible because Sophia didn't know what was going on, but the player got an insight through Dylan perspective. It's part of the main story because it's actually about Sophia and her role as a mother in relation to Amber/Dylan and the connection to the Sophia/Sam events. If you leave something out, the story loses depth.



BTW, I really think that Amber will eventually come to know about Sam's continuing education by Sophia. Also in disciplines other than swimming. :D

Realistically speaking almost nowhere… Only if someone rapes her or if her husband doesn’t execute his duties then maybe a couple of ONS will help her. I cannot imagine a woman like Sophia giving in the blackmail from a teenager or a random teacher… If you see the versions they’ve made where Sophia is having sex with many different people are like porn movies… no realistic plot just sex.

If you're talking heterosexual sex, to me, logically, it would be with Andy (in a foursome/wife swap), either in Cathy and Andy's apartment or a hotel. That's how I see she could progress to having sex with other men.

If it's lesbian, then Ellie in Sofia's bed, maybe after a 'hot' shower together. They've gone so far together, it would be the next step.

He said mid/late april next update. He said it just a week ago.

I'll perfectly understand if it's early may, a normal delay. But I bet it will be pretty more than that.
