Hey, guys! I know how hard it is for new developers to make their first game updates. You never know when to stop and how polished the game should look...

Yuno and I launched our games around the same date so I know exactly all the emotions he feeling right now. I’m sure he’s under an incredible amount of pressure wanting to provide the best possible content to his players. He may very well have gone into low posting mode to focus more on his masterpiece. But he's still here, he didn't leave the game and his supporters.

Please, stop blaming him! It's not helping at all. I urge you to reduce the amount of discussion and just patiently wait for him to finish. I'm sure that right now he's doing his best to live up to your expectations!

Yuno Gasai, if you have troubles with coding, feel free to DM me in Discord. I'm one of the Ren'Py contributors and I've been working with this engine for three years, so I hope my experience is enough to help you.

TRUE!!

How could we forget, Yuno is physically unable to focus on anything every time someone comments on F95. We musn't make any comments on the development of the second update to a new game, 8 months later.

Spit your shit indeed! :OOOOO
Nah man I talk with him privately. We were things before we broke up.

Dude was always an amazing fan art producer, but I have ni idea their hardware setup or life schedule.

He made it interesting enough that I wonder if maybe he was slightly overwhelmed by its initial popularity as well.
As it was mentioned in this thread somewhere already there is a difference between making a couple of renders over 2 month or a couple hundred renders over 5 month and still expect the same quality.

That is the downfall for many high quality artists that make an AVN.
The time requirement is vastly different and so is the expectation.

dead game?
No update to the thread by the developer for 6 month is NOT the same as "This Game is Dead!"

It may be the update is coming but the developer did underestimate the time needed.
It may be that the renders did not fall into his own quality expectations and he started over a few times. The literal perfectionist disease.
It may be the developer heard the constant moans from so-called fans and either took a break or is lowkey ceased the project to protect his mental health.
It may be the developer is struggling with RL for a while.

It may be that what you are describing here means the game is dead.

Q. Where were you last month?
I apologize for being gone without notice. There are several reasons, the main one being my real-life job. Layoffs have become very common here in the tech space, and unfortunately, some of my teammates were affected. As a result, I have had to work long hours, sometimes 13-14 hours a day, for almost two months now. However, things are improving, and we just completed a release that went live this weekend, so I hope to return to my normal workload soon.

Nice?
Yes.

Required?
No.

To put it bluntly the Patreon is to support the artist, not to support the game directly.
It is for "Yuno Gasai", not for "Acquainted by Yuno Gasai".
And technically speaking the patrons #1 get wallpapers for their contribution and #2 it was no fixed schedule mentioned in the first place.

Whatever is going on behind the scenes (we only get third hand speculations) a game that had no update in some time is not dead.
But everyone and their pet hamster is proclaiming it dead or demanding an abandoned tag without having further information.
Writing it often and consistent enough turns this into a self fulfilling prophecy. Meaning the game has a higher chance of turning out badly BECAUSE of that.
