I've only played through once (will play again later), but in both episodes, my report was "didn't kiss Leah" and "didn't kiss Megan during improv". I don't think I even got the choice to do so to both of them. Did I miss something?

Without having had these problems I'd guess that you probably didn't pick the right choices.

I understand that being in a position where one "owes" the other is hardly conducive to a super healthy relationship, but at the same time if he really gave a fuck in my opinion he wouldn't even consider sleeping with her friend when she's living at his place and he's in to her for example, that's not something a good person does as far as I'm concerned. And in terms of Liam that's really unfortunate, is he going to be still getting in my face and trying to take me out to clubs even in the mid-latter portions of the game when you're hopefully in a relationship? Because if so that sucks. It's not like I hated everything about the game. It's just Liam and the MC are shitty people from everything I've seen, it's standard in porn games that the MC is like full over the top white knight to the love interest when in her presence and full on pussy hunting piece of shit when not, I just was hoping this one would be different. Oh well.

Well to refer to my previous answer. YOU made that choice. You could've rejected Melissa and not been "that guy". In fact, the dialogue becomes quite different if you do. You can also tell Liam that you only are interested in Megan. If you still hook up with Melissa, he will call you out on that choice.
Also, you could have gone home from the club and not had that situation happen. Sure you deduct game content, but it still lets you play as a faithful person.
So the game still can be what you make it to. Just don't make a pro-active choice to sleep with an NPC and call the MC an asshole when it's YOU who made that choice.
Liam will be a central character to the story and there will be serious moments and discussions with him, Ep3 will focus heavily on backstory and emotions. But if you like for him to hook you up with girls, he can be that guy too. He has his reasons. I hope you give it another try and I love that you speak your mind. This type of feedback really helps the game and make me think extra hard.

Excellent game, character dialogue and writing is superb and I'm thoroughly enjoying it even though I've only played one route so far. Possibly even more impressive than the visuals/writing is the complexity and how well you're managing it so far. Sometimes creators try to overdeliver but it looks like you're able to produce a lot of content on a schedule. I've become a patron and I hope you get more backers soon.

I'm aware the dialogue changes, I actually went through every route (rather quickly for a few of them so I might have missed a couple things) my general impression of the MC never really changed though. Certainly the one line by Liam that apparently the MC would "hump literally anything" threw me off. And Liam himself never changes and is such a simple minded "bro" type in my opinion that it's hard to take the MC seriously with that sort of taste in friend. These kind of people aren't intrinsically bad, they're just selfish (and being selfish isn't all bad, as long as you don't hurt others), so perhaps I came off as overly aggressive about it in my previous post, but they're certainly not the type I'd consider for a romantic plotline, nor the type I'd trust to be be helping out an attractive young woman without selfish goals in mind.

I mean, you don't suddenly do a 180 from being a playboy to a romantic overnight, you can certainly make that transition, I myself have seen it happen many times, but the way it's expressed in game doesn't seem all that realistic to me, as it's usually a gradual progression, not something that happens with some sort of "love at first sight" naivety. And that seems to be the implication after this latest chapter, that until recently he was going out with Liam clubbing specifically with the intent to get laid very often (again nothing intrinsically wrong with this), and yet suddenly he goes out of his way to help this girl he essentially doesn't know and we're supposed to believe he actually cares about her and isn't just trying to get out into her pants? It's a little hard to swallow. Like he comes across as a person still in the phase of his life where it's very much about his own pleasure seeking.

I will still play the games future versions likely, I have complaints about most porn games, that doesn't mean I won't play them, it just means I find the genre tends to share way too many flaws and tropes across most games and it gets tiresome. The characters tend to be all so similar that it just gets tiresome. The whole white knight/playboy mix that nearly 90% of the MC's are to varying degrees is so overdone at this point that it is indeed frustrating to see again.

Anyway I'll see how things go, I'm not just mindlessly hating on your game or calling it shit, it's better than the vast majority of the games on the site, but my standards aren't to compare a game to the average porn game, because the average porn game is absolute garbage. I'm going to compare it to what I expect out of a real game, or a book or a movie, and in terms of those the characters and plotline still feel weak to me. Ideally a porn game would have actually realistic, complex characters with realistic relatable issues instead we get the classic naive MC girl, the classic sexually charged and precocious but troubled friend to the MC girl and the somehow both absurdly altruistic and white knighty MC who's also a playboy and a pervert who would even consider peeking at girls at his age (like seriously, I thought he got a bunch of pussy, why is he even considering peeking on a girl on the shower, is he 12?).

My general hope is that one day we can move away from shitty tropes.

Even though it is only in it's early stages, I am really enjoying playing this game already. I've done at least 3-4 play throughs trying different choices so now I am purely impatient for more updates to see how they all work out!!

I see. Thank you for your detailed and passionate answer! I'm trying to achieve a high attention to detail and make it as realistic as possible within the realms of an erotic game. It is a hard thing to do without having the MC look like a horn dog. You need to lower your expectations with me a tad. I'm just a normal guy, not a professional screen play writer or anything. This is the first story I've ever written. I'm actually an academic programmer with a PhD by trade. I hope that the next update turn you around as the backstory might resolve some of the gripes you have with the MC's personality. Liam's motivations will likely be explained to you soon as well. Keep the critique coming though! Every significant improvement between Ep1 and 2 came from comments such as yours. I will try to reduce the tropes, they are good for introducing optional lewd scenes; the coming events in the game are quite unique. I can also tweak the dialogue where the MC rejects characters or dismisses lewd activities so he doesn't come off as a pervert. But omitting those options would not allow players who enjoy that type of game to act how they wanted. I hope you see both sides of this.
