Things happen in life that are out of our control. If anything, that is the most interactive, p2w, sandbox, decision riddled game of all, yet things don't always happen as you want.
But the decisions all feel irrelevant to many.

On a similar note, that's why there was a lot of hatred thrown at Mass Effect 3 - not only did it disregard quite a few narrative options set up throughout the series (e.g. "Organics cannot coexist with Artificial Life" couldn't be countered by bringing up the Quarians and the Geth if you got their situation resolved peacefully), but the denouement was completely non-existent.

And as you said, part of why the Red Wedding holds up is because it was foreshadowed in such a stellar way - this particular twist really wasn't.
It depends on the twist you are talking about. I'll hold that the fire was foreshadowed not at all. I'll also hold that the big twist in this episode very much was.

ok basically all of the plot twists from the last 2 episodes have come from no where and really are just off putting i mean sure they could have been good if there was any foreshadowing to these events at all but i feel like the author went "well we need a couple plot twists close together so im going to just throw these major game changers in here for no reason whats so ever
They were events that foreshadowed what happened, but the real problems are:
1. Were the events not clear enough?
To me, no, and if you think about

2. Did the events really foreshadowed exactly what was going to happen or were they too vague?
Again, in my opinion, they were kinda vague
Both of them are problems that are not caused by bad writting but caused probably by overthinking how to foreshadow the plot twist, because, as a writer you want to be in a point where the audience is like "Yeah, they are not obvious, but if you paid enough attention you could have seen it happen" and that's something that's very difficult to obtain, specially if you are just starting writting, and if you start to overthink it (And you will), you'll more than likely will mess it up even more, so I kind of overlook those problems, but they really need to be pointed out so the author can start fixing them

Ha, this is the first time I'm going to write on this thread, but that twist in character that was foreshadowed ages ago really bothered me, due to its profound consequences. I'm not mad about it, but after having done the balancing act that the MC proclaimed and discussed with some of the girls in the game, it bothers me that all was undone in just one update :p.

BRM, I will agree with you, I just don't want to be too hard on the dev. He has made a great work here. But there was one point you made, in particular, that really hit home . . .

House of the Dead WAS awesome!!! Silly plot, great rave music, hot chicks, it had it all! But save some time for House of the Dead 2, with the incomparable Emmanuelle Vaugier!

I don't either... Chapters 1-4 are flat out amazing work some of the, if not the, best writing in this space.

Never did see House of the Dead 2. But without Jurgen Prochnow and Clint Howard... could it ever be the same?

That was hard. Especially when Melissa admitted that I was the only thing keeping her going. That hurt. I'm so grateful the body wasn't shown. That would've wrecked me.

Things don’t have to be foreshadowed bud - that’s not a hard and fast rule ( meet joe black discussion ) you have said before the fire was a climax - and have also said that a climax has to be foreshadowed . Then you say there was no foreshadowing for the fire?

To the fans moaning about this game not being more popular... The porn bits in this game are unfappable; there's no satisfying build up.
This game started out as a Melody clone. MrDots is skilled at writing erotic tease content, whereas DrPink is better with the soap opera stuff.

Most comments in this porn game thread are variants of: (1) Couldn't fap, stayed for the story (2) Liam amazing!

Props to the dev for his hard work though. Turned out better than I expected in some areas.

A writer can consistently and thoroughly foreshadow any event that pops into their mind. Just because I decide to foreshadow the arrival and rampage of King Kong with rabies in my Merchant Ivory period piece doesn't mean I should jump right on that if nearly two thirds of my story do not support a giant monkey carnage kind of twist. The author sets the expectations.

So, yeah, you can go from Slice of Life >> Mexican Teledrama >> Lady Vengeance. No one's going to stop you. Doesn't make that decision anywhere close to being wise, however.
