I wouldn't be surprised if Leah actually administered much weaker chemo after learning that Liam is the mc's best friend. Usually chemo has effects like puking after every session, but in our game those effects were present only at the first and the last chemo (the last was coordinated by another nurse).

I'm fairly certain that was exactly what we were to take from it. He was getting NO actual chemo - thus no side effects, and no progress with the disease management.

He got sick after the last chemo because the other nurse took over and administered it when Leah was distracted by conversation w/ MC. Liam stated he felt different afterwards - but different in a "Normal Way". Notice he didn't look all emaciated and hairless like his gal pal sitting next to him.

Maybe she feels guilty? Because when push came to shove, when you really had to choose, you chose her because you loved her more than Megan. Maybe because of that she feels that it should have been her that died?

I know my cousin who had a son die in the car accident with wife and him. Marriage could not survive after because when looking at each other, could only remember what is lost. Was very sad, for everyone, but not something that they could recover together. MC is broken in 7, M (both) broken in 7. M knew M for much of life. M knew MC for surely two weeks in best or maybe month.

So I just finished and I have to say i cried a lot, for like freaking 45 minutes, right at the decision . I din't really expect that and I feel like even if I would try and go solo girl or anything else it would still end up as it ended (below - spoiler)

Still thank you for the great time, some animations were weird but the overall experience after 1 playthrough was a really, really strong 7/10

I'm still unsure about the dev's intention with the course of the story.
I assume he wanted to generate emotions.

Well, that worked for me for the first four or five episodes, when I was really intrigued with the characters and their lives.
I empathized with them, cared for them.

After that I felt the dev started generating too much drama without giving the characters and the player enough time to process the events, to catch their breath.
There's just only so much drama a character and a player can take before a story starts to feel implausible and over the top.

That's when the game lost me.

The end of episode 6 and the whole of episode 7 felt forced upon me, thereby killing my immersion.
And somehow I stopped caring for the characters.

I still think the dev created a remarkable game, but it could have been better if the drama was more balanced and the outcome of the story more tied to the player's past decisions.

I totaly agree, for me the last 2 chapter where a total overkill ruining a at first good game.
Unfortunatly the developer knew many people seems to be unhappy with the way the story goes, as you can see in the Q/A (

When i start the game i thought about to become a Patreon, im glad i didn't, cause i dont like to support people who obvisualy seems to give a fuck about what their supporters want :/

Im done with the game and i for sure will never again play one off DrPinkCake's game or even consider to support him.

First . "At least half of the players" Show me the statistics for that please .

Second. Im not defending a bad story. Im defending the most well written ADULT GAME which is not = porn game. Please tell me what u consider as a good story ? where is less text and every second scene is incests ?

Crossreading through this thread there are a lot of people unhappy how the story went and the developer seems to knew it

As I wrote the game, I became attached to the characters, as well. Knowing what was to come made me feel like shit, cause I could feel the gut punches myself and I knew there would be a massive negative response. But I stuck to the plan, even though I wanted to change the story, I had promised myself to stay on track. I struggle to see how I could have done it differently after Episode 5.

I never developed any games but i developed some web applications / add ons for phpBB forum for example and even i had my own ideas i always listen to my supporters and i think thats a very good idea when you get paid by them or maybe even depend on them

Im OK that he keept his path, but he should have at least given a warning for those who want to play a fun game and dont want a drama like this went to. I would never played that game in that case and wouldn't be that dissapointed about the ending.
