Classy Lemon I would like to point out a few things for you to gain some perspective since you are active on these threads.
- Your game is not finished yet. So far you have only implemented one major story line. It is a work in progress.
- By your own comments, there are going to be more characters, stories, etc. into the framework of the world you are creating.
- You probably have an outline or a plan on what you are implementing. While it is up to you to share (no judgement - we ain't paying for shit here), remember people's comments are based on what they see so far.
- Most of the people who are "this one thing sux, we out" don't care about the game. They want their thing, and maybe a quick jerk/wank. That is fine, but if you want constructive criticism, you have to look at the comments which talk about the whole game, and the structure and not about one interaction with one girl.
- Every person has preferences. Some are more vocal about pushing their preferences on others. You are the developer, and control the vision and the story themes. That is why God (F95 overlords) created tags to help people understand what is going on within the stories at a quick glance to see if they want to download a story.
- Developing a game is a marathon, not a sprint. This is key to understanding that there are a ton of sprints within a marathon, so bursts of effort are required.
- Remember the big picture - where do you want to be - and focus on that moving forward.
Just remember - as you keep delivering story and content, and interacting with us here on this forum, that this entire thing is a work in progress. It will come together with planning and effort. Those that like your style of art and writing will continue to praise and comment (constructively). You will have to choose what comments you want to take to heart, and those which can be ignored as they don't help make anything better.
Just a little sage advice from someone who likes the game, and seeing what everyone is saying. I know it can be hard as you can get lost in the weeds of all the communication (Patreon, SubscribeStar, Discord, F95, etc.). Just remember your goals, and if something helps you get to the end of your goals, use it. If it doesn't, then move on.
Good luck and cannot wait for the next release.
