In the previous version, one could assume that she works (or has a part-time job) as either a stripper or an escort.
In the remaster, all of this is gone, but it is clearly stated that Alex is an office worker.

I too assumed her to be a stripper at first in the old version, but new version had me confused.

(If my memories serves me right, the MC was due to go and help her at work on a Tuesday or Thursday)
