Often when I search for strategy games, I get way too many results for Visual novel games who lack any possible way to affect the choice the MC makes, half of those results lack even combat or any resouce managment.
I thank you for helping find so many games, with real gameplay instead of just mere tags. I am sick of all the slide show "games", more so when these games keep showing up in search results they shouldn't.

You can click on Latest Update at the top of the site, go under "Prefix: Other" on the right hand side of the site, and disable VN while searching for the strategy tag. Should filter out VNs entirely.

this list won't get games you want at ratings you want
it can get the games but the subjective nature of the rating means AAFU's gonna put them wherever he wants
not paying too much mind to the ratings and just using the list as a list of games that have gameplay would be my general advice

Another said it here, but Toffi's games (Amazon Brawl/Fallen Angel) are A+ or better. I thank you for making a list, because fuck it's annoying seeing VN, RPGM and match-3 everywhere. So much so that, yes, I'm going into game dev just to make actual H-Games. Not just that, but I get told too much that "Lewd games are personal, they can't work with multiplayer!" Bullshit, I have played JasX games. Multiplayer works just fine, and I'll prove it.

News Desk is actually quite good. Well, the card game is. The interludes in the city just reward mind-numbing grind.

Behind the Dune is terrible in terms of gameplay. RTS are an ill-begotten bastardization of the strategy genre, and even then it's easy to see why the game that BtD is based on is not the one that made them popular. It's just kind of a footnote.

Dune 2 is an RTS indeed, but man, Behind the Dune is based on the first Dune game and takes A LOT from its gameplay, looks, and even music. And I don't know why even consider putting it on this list, since it's more like an... adventure/visual novel mix. And it certainly does its job wonderfully, truly a great game, I dunno why would you expect it to be more than it actually is.

Pretty much all the games in the so-called "S-tier", also TS has a very subjective definition of "good porn" (I mean, some of the games in the S-tier list have characters who look like 7-year-olds and are raped by monsters, a very niche fetish if you ask me), that's something completely subjective, unlike the gameplay which you can kind of quantify. In the list, among non-platformers, only Dohnna-Dohnna has an actual focus on complex gameplay with a lot of skills and complexity. Some of the best h-games gameplay-wise:
Rance games, especially Sengoku is a masterpiece and is one of the best turn-based strategy games, period. Alice Soft in general has some nice games with interesting gameplay, but beware that most of them don't have full translation.

Kamidori Alchemy Meister - top-tier TRPG, which has a gameplay similar to the Fire Emblem series, but BETTER. This game legit took the somehow simple gameplay of the FE and made it into something that actually has strategic depth and engaging character customization. Castle Meister from the same series is nice, too. Other Eushully games also have very well developed gameplay, I especially recommend Megami Zero for its plot rather than gameplay.

Monster Girl Quest and MGQ Paradox - this is an amazing series, with MGQ Paradox being the best turn-based JRPG I ever played, period. Imagine mechanics from Persona, Pokemon, Final Fantasy 5, Suikoden and other legendary RPGs all in one game. Compared to it, customization options in games like Octopath Traveler feel so, so limited.

Black Souls 1-2, I think most people here know of this series and if you don't then just check the reviews, this one is amazing.

There are many other decent h-games, but those in particular has gameplay that's much better than in most non-h games of the same genre.

As you said, very subjective. To me the only character that looks 7-years-old in the S-Tiers lists (or if I'm being charitable and just say "like a child") is the protagonist of Succubus Affection. Every other character in those lists looks like they could be at least 18+.

Ultimately I rank these games on some vague scale of "fappability" that aligns with my tastes. I feel ya on the whole character design thing. Unfortunately, there some overlap with the style of game I enjoy. Personally I don't mind it, but I wish there were more good games with adult furry women.

I think the only game I recommend where the main character (or any character?) is unambigously young is the aforementioned Succubus Affection.

Anyway, I have put Night of Revenge and Castle of Temptation into S-Tier after replaying them both recently. Night of Revenge has come a long way since I initially played it and is pretty good now, and I really enjoyed the latest chapter of CoT (even if it really needs more checkpoints).

I have been playing porn games a lot less (really, only the ones I figure I'll enjoy), and I don't plan to keep this list updated, but I have a huge list of bookmarks of games that are probably shite but also "games". I have been thinking about just dumping a list in the OP
