agreed, would never have played this game if it wasn't for this Renpy remake.
Its not just the pointless walking a-b that annoys me, but as others have said a lot of devs can't even use it properly. Always crashing, pc fan going into overdrive etc etc. Plus Renpy for 90% of the games made for it keep the porn flow working so much better.

RPG Maker is fine if you can play with a mouse only. Porn games where you need to use the keyboard are meh.
Ren'py you can just mash that space button or hold it and your done, RPG Maker games using a mouse is fine for sure, so long as the RPG Maker game has elements that utilizes the RPGM engine, meaning combat, inventory system, leveling system etc.

Games like Anna Exciting Affection or pretty much interactive novels, the RPG maker which makes you walk around is just to mask things and make it LOOK like the game is much longer then it actually is.

Games that do this. Anna Exciting Affection - Lily of the Valley - Sarah's Life - Anything ICStor - Angelica's Origin - Lida's Adventure - Elena's Life. I can name a whole long ass list of some of this bs honestly. Those Ren'py conversions should be more then enough proof that these games could have easily be made in Ren'py.

Reason most use RPGM is because of the list of common excuses that come with it.

Just wish more people was aware of this and I hope the it does spread soon.

Otherwise some good games on RPGM are like Adorevia and Noxian Night and Claire's Quest.

Exactly. I know it is so the devs can claim like 50 hours of playtime in these games, but so far I am quite satisfied with the amount of content in Ren'py versions of AEA and Elena's Life. RPGM games can serve a purpose for actual RPG's, but in these types they make me stop playing after a while because I get tired of going to the shower for the 50'th time or because it is only used to take me from A to B in a town that is confusing and where objectives are not marked.

True and pretty much my point. And yes AEA and Elena's Life and even Lily of the valley currently has a lot of content when it comes to the ren'py converts. However if you were to check and strip all that content and divide it by the years of their existence you will notice that the updates on most of them are all quite short. AEA has some exceptions here and there but not enough to justify it.

The excuses that come with RPGM are the same old same old. Lot's of "mapping" work, Grandma's prized pet gold fish got terminally ill and whole family was in distress, "amazing" features planned that did not work out or was trying to add but eventually had to scrap because did not go as planned, and add the other 10 generic delay or radio silence excuses that come with RPGM.

please make renpy for new 2.0 version
They will, usually they wait for a few days to make sure there are no bugs or whatever so they don't have to do it twice or more. Also they need to have free time for it. All good and well in due time, we will get it no worries.
