Sorry, I didn't quote the post that I was responding to, and I'm not going to, but if you look at the post that Joshy was responding to, you'll see it. Someone else said that Steph was bi, I said no she's not. There was no value judgment in the response you quoted.
I'm not buying it. I know that's what the dev is saying that now and I was buying it after playing the last update, but now it just feels like a retcon. It feels like they are saying that this was their idea the whole time because they bowed to the pressure and changed everything. There are just too many inconsistencies. It's too much exposition. And basically it amounts to "here's why everything is fine and nothing's my fault. I promise I'm not a whore." And frankly, I never thought she was a whore in the first place, so it felt quite out of place. That said, I could accept it because at the end, after plowing through SEVERAL options to affirm the open relationship and tell her "We're good, I love what we're doing, I'm not mad at you, I don't think you're a whore," I thought we were still going to end up with a sharing/swinging game, where there would be paths with wife swaps or hotwifes, etc. After all, the whole question that she wanted an answer to was "How do you feel about maybe having threesomes or sharing me with other dudes?" That was the WHOLE MOTIVATION for all of the cloak & dagger w/ Jason's offer and Tori's questioning and all of this, according to the exposition in the last update.
Then this update, by basically having Steph completely bow out of other partners altogether (which wouldn't have made sense to do before the conversation from last update) is the dev's attempt to appease everyone who screamed and hollered and called her a whore. If the conversation from the last update was supposed to be the end, then what Steph would have just stopped fucking around with no explanation even if the MC loved it and told her he loved it? So she would go from "if you hook up with Tori I might hook up with someone else too" (in the kitchen before her sister gets there) to "if you hook up with Tori not only will I go buy some pretty lingerie so I will look pretty for you, but I will also invite another woman to be here with me, and we will just be sitting here by ourselves giggling like schoolgirls, waiting for you to come home from fucking my best friend so that you can fuck both of us too" (end of this update). This update only makes sense if you told her you were mad at her at the end of last update's exposition. But I wasn't mad at her, as the MC. I'm the one who suggested the open relationship in the first place, Night 1 in the bar, so that I could fuck Tori!!
I'll take it back. Maybe this was the plan the whole time. If so, I wish I hadn't spent the money on it, because it's not NTR (and never was) and isn't swinging (which I thought it was and now appears not to be) and those are my preferred genres and the game is tagged with both here. It looks like a poorly written game where every minor alternate path ultimately converges on the same result that is the exact opposite of what the first 70-80% of the game appeared to be.
But I'm still putting my money on the fact that this was not the plan, that they changed their story to appease people, and now are trying & failing to please everyone. Since there's only one small update and then the last large update w/ the end, I'll stick around to see if they can pull this off in a way that makes sense, but frankly I no longer have faith they are capable of or willing to do so.
All that said, this game literally only makes sense if you (1) don't encourage Steph any more than necessary to continue the game and (2) get mad at her fucking people even when you encourage her. To each their own, but then the devs could have just make a Kinetic Novel with that plot and I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it.
I don’t remember exactly, but there was a message from the author before 1.07. They decided to do the story as they had planned until the end and only then make changes.
The author was offered to make a kinetic VN, giving three routes at the beginning, at that time the author said - the player is not an MC, the player does not decide anything.

Great job dev. The only thing more pathetic than an anti-NTR brigader (whose fragile masculinity demands that they lash out at anything not an incest harem) is caving to said anti-NTR brigaders and ruining the very vision of your creation. I wish I never bought this game on Steam.

For the longest time this game never gives you the chance to actually do that.
Why you did not drop this game up until now, while everybody else was fkking Steph and you seemed to like it, it boggles the mind.

I don't think her manipulation and lying are forgivable for me as a player, but the MC has the spine of a gummy bear, so it can still go either way(haven't played this update)
Wonder if it would have been better to have the reveal at the end and just have to option to leave her and then end, or worse because it feels you wasted your time the entire game, game called Another Man's Wife, but in fact is a game about Steph manipulating the MC into thinking he wants to fuck Another Man's Wife, allowing her to whore around and exorcising her demons, placing all the responsibilities and consequences of that choice on the MC alone, the fear of risking his relationship, while everyone around him knows the truth but him.

Too Perilous Bi-Weekly Update #32
Update 1.09 is live and now the bug hunt begins. We’re going to be working on renders and animations needed to complete a few scenes in 1.09, but we’ll also be spending a lot of time running through the game to make sure the content is being accessed as intended throughout the game. We’ve already found something that was improperly labeled, so we will be patching to 1.092 later today. There was a report of a bug, I haven’t found it yet, so I’ll try to find that before we patch.
I don’t have a timeline on 1.09a yet, but it’s going to take a few weeks. I will share that the “return home” scene which has three versions is the main focus of what we will be doing in 1.09a. That scene as a whole was skipped over for a while because I just didn’t like what we were coming up with, and I’m still not sold on some of our thinking. I don’t want to say much more than that because I’m just not happy with the whole situation. But now we’re going to fix it. I want all three versions of that scene to have something fresh, and two versions of that scene are at extreme risk of being repetitive of earlier content.
I’m going to keep this short today because we just don’t need to dive into anything new when we have a list of fixes to work on. There was a lot of new in 1.09, and we need to get all of it up to where it needs to be before we turn our attention to 1.10 and spending about four months finishing the game.

Great Game, wanted to show my support on steam, keeps saying "This item is currently unavailable in your region " fuck I'm in the US, does that mean I have to move to a different country to support him??, this is fucked up, don`t know why the dev`s keep going to steam instead of SubscribeStar or Patreon.
If you're using a VPN to access Steam, maybe that's the problem? There's no issue in the US as a whole, as I bought it from the US. It could also be certain states (like if you accidentally connect your VPN to a Virginia server and then can't get on Pornhub).
Personally, given the quality of the last two updates, I'm glad I paid once on Steam and get all the updates rather than paying monthly on Patreon.

I found N++ to be lacking in terms of reliability, Notepad3 seems to be a better choice IMO, but YMMV.I've switched to np++ as my standard notepad a few years ago, can recommend it.
