VN - Ren'Py - Artemis [v0.5.1] [digi.B]

So far, it has been great! Nice breath of air when it comes to jokes and general story content. Seen a lot of copy and pastes before, this is something new!
Another plus, the MC is actually kind of relatable in a way. The self deprecating but trying to uplift others is great. Very likeable.

Kindra and Koko just feel right. Waiting to dive deeper into the background story of her. Looking forward to seeing more interactions between her and Cassandra as well.

This is by far the most genuine fun I've had reading through a VN in forever, because of its clever writing and the attention that has been given in bringing a cast of vibrant, expressive characters to life without going completely overboard with it. There's a lot of games on this site that try way too hard to be funny or quirky and fail miserably in their intent. I'm happy to report that Artemis isn't one of them. Of course when it comes to humor it's all about subjectivity, but personally I feel like the dev did an excellent job in drawing the line in this sense.

The story in and of itself is a bit all over the place, but it's serviceable, and more importantly doesn't take itself too seriously. What really shines here is the cast of characters, their well crafted and diverse personalities and their interactions. I realize that I'm hammering the point home here, but the fact is that this VN is just really fun to read, to the point where the whole porn side of it just feels like an added bonus to me. And not a poorly made one at that, I should probably mention for the whole "boobs first" crowd.

With this I'm pretty sure I paid Artemis the biggest compliment this kind of game could possibly get, so why the 4 stars? I could say that it's because I've had the non-compressed version of it crash on me multiple times for whatever reason, something that has never happened with any other game, not even with the biggest ones. But the truth is, I'm saving that fifth star for later. This is an outstanding start and I'm 100% strapped in for the ride. Best of luck to the dev.

This is some good shit. Good writing, good characters, good renders. Heavily recommended for anyone that enjoys a good time. All of the characters feel alive and he existing lewds are both visually great and fun to read

Artemis is a seriously impressive effort right out of the gate with first release. Beautiful renders, gorgeous girls, a compelling story, and plenty of sexytimes. Bravo Digi.B! Just take my money already.

PROS:

+Exceptional characters and design. The characters feel alive. They are vibrant, have depth, moves and talks as if they are real people. Easily one of the best characters I've seen, not only in an adult game, but also in AAA games as well.
+Superb storytelling. The story is coherent and captivating. Despite the game being in its' early stage of version 0.1.2, the foundations of the story is well built. The story is very solid but at the same time still leaves cracks on which players could set upon intrigue and interest.
+Amazing soundtrack. There's a lot of music, sound effects, and ambiance, to really brighten up the game. There is not a single instance where i got disconnected from the story. It isn't obnoxious, it is pleasant; it won't annoy you, but will indulge you; it doesn't bore you. but does immerse you. Pair this with the exceptional characters, and you have an amazing combo.
+Adult Scenes are great. All scenes are animated! The animations, albeit sometimes feel a bit stiff (or in some cases where the tits are literally like jelly... soft ), are animated quite well.
+Gameplay is okay. It is your typical interactive Visual Novel game. You follow the developer(s)'s story and you're given choices. Although limited, you are given the choice to go on to different story paths.
+If you're looking for a well-deserved awaited wank, after investing time in story/characters playing, this game is for you

CONS:

-The characters are bombarded to you straight away. You're immediately given names of the characters left and right like you're suppose to already know them. I get that it feels more immersive that way because we are suppose to be the MC, but i only got to fully enjoy the experience on my 2nd play through when i knew who is who. A character sheet with visual aid (character's image) would be nice. Maybe an app on the phone, where once a character's name is mentioned... could be tracked and etc.
-If you're looking for a quick wank, this game isn't for you

I immediately fell in love with this game. The beautiful animations, the amazing story, and the captivating soundtrack. But what really made me love this game are the characters. They exhibit a lot of emotion and have distinguished personalities. They aren't just pawns of the plot and they aren't just place-holders, they have interests outside of the story line and are really well-rounded. They bounce off of other characters in unique ways with believable relationships and goals. Emotions, struggle, and development, they have it. I really feel that this game could stand on its own even if its not an Adult game without the sex and other stuff. I'm now a fan. Thank you Dev!

Diverse set of interesting characters with diversity in types of "assets" as well. Engaging storyline (it's near future) with nice comic elements. Great Renders. Bulky first chapter with decent amount of scenes. Gameplay is simple & rightly placed. This is quite easily one of top 5 adult games I'm looking forward to. My only minor peeve were the shirts. By no means does that matter but they're drawn funny.

Already on the road to being an all time great. Haven't seen this big of a splash in a first chapter since Being a Dik. Can't wait to see where this goes! 100% a top game on this site with 0 exaggeration

I don't usually review, but this game forced my hand. The renders and animations are top-tier, and the story is nothing short of amazing. There was not a single point in this game where I felt lost or bored. The characters are also made extremely well as most of them are likable in their own way and very unique. This game has some serious potential and I can't wait for chapter 2.

Very entertaining as well as great animations for something in its first chapter. digi B does an amazing job at building the main characters so far to the point of formulating emotions when the antagonist appears. This project also has a decent amount of content for Ch. 1 making the game overall very satisfying so far

What an awesome game. The story is awesome, the characters are really well developed and defined and even the music plays a great role in the ambience it sets.
If i have to point something out is some of the models are not to my liking, but that is up to the testes of each one. But is something irrelevant next to how great the experience is.
Really looking forward to see how this develops.

The story has flaws:

• How a guy who is super duper coder can have problems with finding a job in IT?
• How can the uni/college girls already be super duper middle/senior full-time developers?
• How can these girls accept the 25 y.o. guy, almost a complete stranger into their sorority after one favor so he can fool around with them? Not to mention the fact that MC finished his degree long time ago and why he needs this sorority at all...

BUT
It's a game. It's a fucking adult/porn visual novel so I can close my eyes on those.

Besides that, the game's pretty great. The story is enjoyable and rises some questions and struggles which make you empathize the MC. Also the game is so fucking big... I mean the first release was like 2 hours of gameplay and now we get another 2. Some completed VNs are way less than that.

Then we have animations. Not just 1-3 second loops, they are so fucking long... and smooth! Defintely one of the best I've seen yet.

I rated it with 2 starts when first played it but I admit that it's a AAA class game. 5 starts easily and one of the best in this genre.

This game really sets a new gold standard for visuals and scene design. Writing and story is also top notch. I was really pleasantly suprised how well fleshed out the characters are and worn out idea from the stranded lonely wolf male protagonist was freshened by the idea what female company he got himself into when looking for a new job. Also I like the fact that I am for one time playing some good looking young male stud with a decent normal dick and not some kid with a 14inch horsecock. Looking forward to future updates, really.

A thoroughly enjoyable VN with stunning graphics, beautiful girls and engaging gameplay - I'm really looking forward to seeing where this story goes!!

The sci-fi setting is awesome and the tech angle has the potential to really develop something original.

Really good story, emotions, and choices to pick. I love the renders, the MC, along the characters. There is some humor involved that takes you on a ride. I also love how the UI is in the game, glad to see a newer game as promising as this.

Really good game with good writing, renders and not to forget the sick as design. there were some things in this game that set bars most games that you see in terms of UI are looking similar but this game had a very good creative touch on it which i love.

An adult VN in a sci-fi setting where all women have fake plastic boobs making them unattractive, and with point and click and sandbox elements.
Sex scenes are forced on the player.
Already beats records of overrating after just one release.
I'll still leave two stars for the setting that seems original and interesting.

Well above average graphics/renders and animations. Plot that is somehow unique among others. Great pacing, Good amount of depth and personality coming from each person introduced. Outside of a few grammar errors, not much else I can really say

So I just started and finished the game for the day and WOW, it's hard not to stop clicking through. Such a big chapter with lots of content, definitely puts it at my top 10 favorites of games with an incredible start(plus some teaser too! ).



The mix of emotions projected in each scene compliments with each other.

The MC (if I read him correctly) showed his vulnerabilities reasonably, as some may see his whining, crying, and running away a weakness by some people, I can empathize with him.



As for the story, I believe it's my first time to play with such plot so I see this an original work and is not a cheap copy of another successful VN.



And for the last thing I want to have a comment on are the models, more specifically our girls. Love interest or not, their different characters has put in such contribution on how this game turned out and what will it probably lead to. I already have my favorites and one that I already hate( can't believe I'm hating an Alexandra Daddario look-a-like!).
