It's not really fair to compare new games to their modded predecessors. One would hope that it's better than vanilla AA2, and that eventually mods will bring it to new heights

I felt the same way trying Crusader Kings III after playing CKII with all of the DLC and the Game of Thrones mod

See... the difference is, Paradox has the money and potential to make a game good, while Illusion only managed to eek out AA2. Theyre not even "remaking" AA2 in better graphics with the new game (missing features, different atmosphere, blah) the way Paradox did with EU4. EU4 upon release was bare bones. As bare bones as you could get - but it was Paradox handling it. Now? EU4, with all its DLCs and features? I dont even use mods for the game anymore its so developed/matured.
Im not holding high hopes for Illusions new game. It will be released, it will disappoint a lot of people, it might get a patch or a DLC to help it along... and Ill-games will declare bankruptcy (hopefully not).
I'm willing to give the game a chance before writing them off. I don't think we have enough information yet to determine how good the game will be. The alternative is clinging to AA2 for another 10 years

Hey anyone know how to get working futas? Snagged the Futa starter pack but all it does is give me a rigged penis (Still uses a dildo too) and no Male Cumming scenes for my Futas. I know about the more positions mod that mentioned something about FUTA poses that may be linked to my problem but I just can't seem to really figure out how to set it up as it lacks any installation guide.

Delete the game. Obviously you did something wrong and troubleshooting it would take way too long for anyone to want to bother with.
Go back to the MIG, download the game from the torrent, update the AAU, and finally, download and install the clothing collection+decensor.
With this done, report if the game runs. You might also have to tick the win10fix in the scripts tab of AAU.

To be honest, ain't my first game i have trouble with, and everytime i figure out myself a solution over the years, yet here, its... Insane. I've dl again the pack, and now that i try to update AAU, a window appear and close as soon, then nothing happen. I'll check later on a virtual box if it really work.
Are you installing the stuff in the "extra" folder? Specifically: directx_Jun2010_redist, vc_redist.x64, vc_redist.x86, and windowsdesktop-runtime-3.1.9-win-x64. Those are all required and shouldn't be labelled as extra

What the hell is a virtual box? Some sort of emulator? If so - you dont need it to launch AA2.

Thanks bud, but doing my own game at my own pace is good enough, free it is.
And i know i don't need it to play, yet a virtual box create "whole new" computer, it's nice to check if something work somewhere else, since i have hell no clue why the game refuse to even start
I already did. Simply put, without the means to create assets, the best game I can produce is one I humbly named "The Blank Screen and Mute Sound"

Two questions to start off with: Which OS are you using, and which version of "Microsoft Windows Desktop Runtime" do you have installed?
How did you update AAU to get popups? Instructions for it are literally "copy the files, overwrite if asked" - there are no executables involved.
