just for the record, i managed to get attack imp at 11 imp kills
I had already killed the mage boss and she didnt level up, so i levelled her up to 10 (she was level 8 before this), killed the mage boss again and nothing happened, i proceeded to level her up to 12 and do one of the highland of conquest levels and she turned into attack imp.
i think the kill requirement with the imp is either unbelievably low or it isnt there. you just need to level her up to 10 or past that and complete a new level for her to evolve. thats my theory
