Wait, as a dev myself what's he doing more than asking for more balance in the content regarding the MC? If there is something wrong with one of the games I work on, I damn well hope people come an rip me for something that really bothers them. Now I can agree or disagree and it might not change anything, but I won't rip someone for comments unless they're a real dick.

And it's not like he's wrong. Or the only person who feels that way. Alex, the dev, can take or leave the criticism. Call me an ass, or think I or any other person who thought there were problems in the update just doesn't get it.

There are trade offs for focusing on the side content. And that's why we're seeing the reactions we are.

I think Alex told some time ago about survey at his Patreon page about what ppl want next and wast majority voted for David, maybe that's why he has more content so far.

This kind of thing is where so many developers make bad judgement calls... When you allow a paying fan base to have too much creative control over a project, it typically is doomed to over all failure, especially if it is a continuous occurrence... Pandering to a select few does not guarantee a good over all end product... Handing over that much creative control is usually a bad sign, that a developer/author is either running out of ideas, or had no real overall project plan/story in the first place, or is too insecure in their own decision making, or they really could care less about their own project as long as the money keeps flowing in (aka Milking)...

Look at how many visual novel/games of this genre that gave away too much creative control, and see how many of them actually succeed and become overall big hits in the end... Barely any...

The original concept behind this VN/Game was a very interesting one, and I played it once, back before I was doing these sorts of reviews... But it's beginning to look as though this VN/Game is losing focus, giving away creative control, heading down roads that a majority of readers/players don't like, and basically becoming a niche VN/Game... The future doesn't seem to be as bright as it once was for this project... I guess only time will really tell... But it is saddening to see how many folks this VN/Game is putting off, as compared to how it was, during earlier development...

Most folks do not like it when they are immersed in a protagonists story, and attempts they make are blocked or negatively impacted by other characters on a regular basis... Even more so in erotic/adult games... Some folks say "this isn't real life so why does it matter" but these are story based games... The whole reason most folks enjoy these sorts of visual novels/games over normal porn videos and so forth, is because they want to feel immersion... They want to feel like they are the protagonist, with some partial control over his/her destiny... Because when finally achieving goals that lead into a reward, it is far more satisfying and fulfilling then just masturbating to a bunch of visuals... And when their path is continuously blocked or interrupted or interfered with, it just makes the experience frustrating, annoying, and maybe even causes anger... And who the hell wants to put up with that when trying to read/play an erotic/adult visual novel/game? Not most folks, I can tell ya... There might be a minority of players who get off on that kind of stuff, but it is historically and currently not the majority of readers/players...

I agree with your remark concerning the size of the textbox. So I created a version with a smaller (and more transparent) textbox for version 0.5 (size was reduced from about 33% to 25%). BUT Alex (the game creator) didn't liked it and wanted to stay with the already existing textbox. Maybe I will publish a "fan patch" for this.

Although I am not responsible for the content I would like to give a general statement:
Please be aware that this game is "in development". I surely know that there are a lot of games which release their updates in some kind of chapters like in novels. This means every update continues with the already existing story. This works well for visual novels. In "sandbox games" like API, which are more complex, sometimes it seems more suitable to follow on path first and then concentrate on the next one. So please be patient with us.

@Abi only 3 changed numbers (and some outlined text) and i think, it looks much better, and all with an already available textbox
hope you can convince your co-dev to some changes

Looking at this, the difference is night and day! Crazy how much of a difference a few less pixels and some transparency can make.

Was this a google translate? Because I'm having a real hard time understanding and reading it... Some of these translation websites just do direct word for word translations without doing any interpreting at all... Which is a necessary component of good translating... Not sure what sites do a good job at both...

I have to agree here, I would choose a Tasha/David route myself, but as the game is, there is no balance.
The way Alex is suddenly cut off from interaction with Tasha is jarring and the game gives no real narrative cause for this. Tasha herself seems like a different character and the whole shy/almost virgin personality has dissappeared.
