Congratulations!! Soon you will be making games for us.I have passed the Programming II course in my Computer Engineering degree!
I am so fucking happy!
And yes, I haven't got friends to share my happiness, so I decided to tell it with random <removed>s in a porn forum.
Mirth himself stated on xitter that he "consider releasing in on itch". Doesn't add up at all. Screens were earlier itt. It's most likely that he's contractually obligated to release on Steam before any other platform according to his publisher. I haven't heard him say anything to dispute that
No, I don't recommend you. Just pirate it. Remember, he squized his patreons for years, he hasn't got money issues and even if you buy it, he will not make a sequel or another game after this.Asked Steam about the game, they reply this, so maybe they dont answer about games in the check queue or maybe since the release date is ''someday on 2024'' Mirth just plan to wait till last moment and hes drinking a tea while we keep waiting everyday and that make sense for me since he say this on discord.
Idk, at this point ill just wait but not to buy, hype just dissapear.

Can't wait to pirate Bartz' work!Congratulations!! Soon you will be making games for us.
It does seem very odd; obviously this isn't quite regular game development but there's a reason for time between a game going gold and release. By that train of thought they either literally JUST completed the game or did not bother to go through the required procedures ahead of time (granted I don't know the specifics of Steam's release system). Impossible to say but admission of either would look bad.-snip-
He needs to squeeze his patreons. How hard is it to first approve the game and then announce a release date?
How exactly getting the game approved first before giving a release date have anything to do with squeezing his patreons, anyone can do that one way or the other. He needs to squeeze his patreons.
You're right, getting the game approved first BEFORE giving a release date have nothing to do with milking. Thats why he gave release date BEFORE any "approval checks". And then he tries to look like it was a big surprise and like he's going to think about maybe releasing it on other platforms. Maybe later. Just not today. And while it is "being checked", patrons paid their december fees already. How exactly getting the game approved first before giving a release date have anything to do with squeezing his patreons, anyone can do that one way or the other.
Implying that said Patreons wouldn't keep supporting him if he didn't gave them a release date even if they are still doing since March or something when the game was supposed to release (or so some people say it was supposed to). You're right, getting the game approved first BEFORE giving a release date have nothing to do with milking. What team? The artist has moved on, the dev himself has "plans" but there's nothing beyond thatDid at least dev imply somewhere that the team is working on something new anyway while this shit is getting sorted?
More info on this? I would love to follow walnusstinte's work in the future. The artist has moved on
Where is this from?he will not make a sequel or another game after this.
Seconding this question in case anyone has seen mention on Patreon/Discord or wherever of what Mirthal and Walnusstinte may be planning to do after release.Did at least dev imply somewhere that the team is working on something new anyway while this shit is getting sorted?
