I see I'm not the only one that checks on this game every now and then, to see if progress randomly began again. It was definitely one of the best "new games" available out there.
Okay, since you obviously didn't read the last pages of the thread, here's a recap: the dev went from frequently corresponding with the guy who made the walkthrough to completely silent right after he posted he was feeling sick ("don't worry, it's not that"). No one has heard from him since.
Sorry to put it so crudely, but maybe now people will get the message.

I seen that message and if you read what I said in my post closer when I was talking about games that was cut short I was talking about other games (Not this one) that have the "Completed" tag on them...
Now talking about Abandoned games it's just full sadness not only do we lose some of the best Ren'py games out there most of the time the dev is going through a crisis which in one way or another forces the devs to stop working on their games which I give my condolence to the devs themselves and the friends and family that love them.

Well, being "cut short" doesn't really make it clear you're talking about completed games.

yes I will agree that I probably should of used a different word/words there to make it more clear but the fact that I said "either being abandoned "or" being cut short" would mean that the words cut short was something other than abandoned games.
So this "What makes it worse are the games that are being cut short is being done in a way that doesn't hide the fact that the dev was going to add more to the game but just giving up on it. After so many people fell in love with their game and the characters just to get let down in the end" that I said was not about this or most of the other "best" abandoned games.

Cookie girl was one of the great moments of this short game. The way he dragged her in was a sight to behold.

Not really strange, just shows you are not an asshole, and that there is a humane side of you unlike some people.
Also, in general nowadays, there are a lot of shitty people who dont care about the effects of human life as opposed to seeing the product finish.

I actually managed to find a decent enough quality version of that scene - by which I mean it's not so pixelated that it looks like porn for Minecraft. For nostalgia reasons mostly (and for academic purposes *wink wink*).

Just google "Tera Patrick selling coffee" and the first result is, I believe, the scene he's talking about. Not a bad scene, regardless.

Well, hopefully not......but he clearly abandoned the project extremely abruptly and with no warning, and hasn't come back to it. For their sake, I'll hope that something less awful happened, like their computer dying or financial troubles, ect.
