You can read the long discussion we have for the depth, but long story short - it seems like the dev was absolutely determined to make a really grindy combat game with a complicated story, that featured some porn as a teaser to get people into it. Instead of a hot porn game that featured the other stuff as a side aspect.

Hahahaha!!!!!! I KNEW this steaming dumpster-fire would eventually be Abandon! The dev refused to change anything about it no matter how much the fans said they didn't want the grindy shit.

There was a glitch where at some point when working at the pizza place, instead of just earning money twice a day doing favors, you get in a loop where you could continue to do the quests and earn money, you just didn't progress any of the days, stay on that same day and save, if you went to the next day it was gone.

Cheats still work, I use them when I played through the game 4 times but there's still many grinding segments (forced for progression and also forced randomization of scenes that affect the story for some reason)

Some events either have a literal random trigger after a certain amount of events happen and others require you to be at a certain place for a event to trigger, just refer to the walk through it's outdated but you should be able to understand how events work and most will automatically trigger
