I have been pointing out that the reason why the game hasn't been finished yet is that the Author slowed down the game's development a lot, and quite a few years ago - since the second half of 2019.
I stopped having any interest in this game since then. Last update I played was 4 years ago.
Well, I guess the 1853-56 Crimean War might have slowed down the game's development since he started it ages ago: you might have a point.

Ah so you are just so bored that you have to talk smack about something that doesn't even interest you...
I could try to explain to you, and others, why development of these VN's can slow down but i tried often enough in the past and it was like trying to explain to five year olds how the world of adults works, so i won't because i'm not that bored.

There are so many games with harem full of virgins, so I've seen People complaining cause some lone Milf (totally with miserable sex exp, and then waited 10 years for some Prince to start fucking again) is not virgin anymore in some game...Slut-shaming in porn games... Irony at its finest.
So some shy virgins is Just New golden standard for modern VN's

Oh... and world of adult works like: even if your city is under some bombing sometimes, you Will not abandon your job cause you'll need money to survive (from personal, quite fresh experience)
So, I'm almost sure situation with war and lack of updates are totally not linked in any way.

The game developed slower because, as most games, it becomes more complex as it goes. This happens for virtually all games.
The reason why the final update is taking so long is, as MrJet has said, he made the mistake of doing 1 massive update for the final instead of splitting it into more updates.

Actually, if you look at the changelogs in the OP, you'll see why the development began to take longer. As I said above, it became more complex.
.2 = 300 renders, 3 animations
.25 = 271 renders, 3 animations
.3 = 232 renders, 4 animations
.35 = 345 renders, 16 animations
.40 = 450 renders, 13 animations
.45 = 713 renders, 16 animations
.50 = 782 renders, 32 animations
.55 = 717 renders, 58 animations
.60 = 703 renders, 47 animations
.70 = 632 renders, 39 animations
.80 = 1194 renders, 51 animations
.90 = 1063 renders, 51 animations
So, that is your explanation. MrJet didn't "slow down" development. He started making more renders, and especially animations. This final update is the same as 2-3 normal updates. Which is why it is taking so long.

After a few months the "massive" update comes out: 10 min. of gameplay.
But hey! ...before you say it, I'm not complaining. I just find it funny because a lot of other devs have done this before and I find it ironic how some people get so defensive of their dear devs.

Well, I for myself find it sad and annoying how some people bash devs for things that other devs have done, seem unable to understand how a creative process works, are willing to harshly attack people who are just trying to create something for our amusement, find it funny to belittle those who try to bring some logic and facts to the discussion, and then are nowhere to be found when their targeted devs eventually deliver.
Between a creator and some random forumers whose only duty seems to be trying to erode well-earned trust and raising doubts over the creative work that brings us free amusement and enjoyment, I'll always side with the creators. Especially if those devs haven't seen a penny in the last 10 months. Not because I feel them 'dear' to me, but because it's only fair and the only sensible thing to do if you care about those games. They are the ones contributing to our enjoyment, while the 'others' only bring a toxic and despicable attitude in their pathetic attempt of being 'the cool guys who know better than you, poor innocent souls'.

It's an old famous comical mistake in the prologue. I wonder why they never correct it. The picture is actually accurate, because through the game it's established his main instrument is the bassguitar (he sure can play more instruments competently, having actually studied in a music academy). So they probably had a lapsus and wrote guitar instead. My best guess. Sure they knew the difference. What makes it comical is that the game is about musicians, the one thing you should get right.Ok, call me an idiot, but I don't get it. What's your point?
its a bass "guitar" so yeah but i think at some point he did had the strat style guitar instead

Thought I'd give this game a try after seeing it on so many recommendation lists, but...
I tried the Lisa path. Immediately after the date, I go to Jane's. I tell her I'm in a relationship because I'm trying solo Lisa first. However, without giving me the option for myself, the MC tries to cheat and take things further with Jane before she stops him. Is this a theme in the game? Having an internal monologue about another girl is one thing, but not having the option to NOT try to take things too far with another LI is offputting.
