yeah mid november is the most realistic scenario at this point...Lots of posing in this status update, but no word on actual completions. So there's not much I can add to the charts, other than updating the estimated totals based on DPC's completion percentages. Here are the technically new charts:
If you look closely you can see that target numbers for both animations and statics increased slightly (by 5 and 175, respectively). Based on the most recent estimated render speeds, that probably adds a week or so to the development time. Now in theory render speeds should have sped up since DPC is focusing on statics and the inordinately long animation has finally finished, but until DPC gives us some completion numbers there's no way to verify that. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Personally, I still think we're looking at a mid-November release; DPC would need to rival his highest ever animation render speeds for a full month to hit these targets (and finish beta testing) before the end of October. I don't see that happening, not when his trend is to make longer and more complex animations. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, though.
DPC just has a plan before hand for every episode and what he needs to tell in those... doing only that the episodes might not be that big, during development he is just adding more and more stuff, most of the time "side-content" and ideas he is getting during the process and the episodes are growing bigger and bigger because of that... but he never "cuts" things out. That ends in bigger episodes every time and longer development times too. I think he has kind of an OCD about that, he has an idea, and nothing stops him to add it into the episode, if its mean we have to wait longer, so be it...
Sometimes its a little frustrating to know that the development time for each episode will take longer and longer... but, the outcome is just amazing all the time... iam sure its the same with this one.
So yeah... ill stick to mid-late november release.
