10 Piece pt2
Oooh, it's a daily double!

M: Mel, Camila.
F: Jade, Elena
K: Sandy, Heather

Normally I wouldn't kill somebody with Sandy's carefree attitude, but I really hate face tats, she's gotta go. Heather loses both with face and personality.

I usually wouldn't put Elena on the fuck list, either (she doesn't strike me as a pretty woman), but she seems like somebody good and reliable, and I know JB is okay with it.

So he is aiming for december officially... With about 3-4 weeks left only for animation-rendering. And he didnt gave out the game for testing, cause he will do only if its complete.

The only testing is from himself.

I think testing alone from others will cost another week, and than of course there will be things to correct and polish during this time and a little after testing is done. So the testing by others and final polish together would be 2 weeks on top of it...

Overall, lets say, about 6 weeks from now he can be done... very optimisitc guess, 5 weeks... Which means, release during christmas weekend... is he really gonna do THAT? I admit, i give shit about christmas, i dont like it... especially the fake family get togethers, you dont see them the whole year, but yeah, christmas is mandatory? Fuck this, iam skipping christmas about 10 years now... just nice free days for me ^^ (yeah my family sucks) But the point is, DPC has family he likes, and a release will mean stress, a lot of it... during those days? I cant imagine that he is willing to do that...

The week before christmas is very optimistic considering what is left to do... so, in my mind... the only option left to get it out in december will be the last december week between christmas and new year.

Well... i would advice DPC to just lay a little back now, starting with the development of episode 9 the ultimate goal was late october/mid-november release, i bet on it. He missed it, not dramatic. Now to push it out and stress himself out during holiday is not worth it... relax during christmas until new year and get the update out AFTER those days in the first week of january... i think this would be the healthy thing to do.

And to me, and maybe most others, it doesnt really matter if its out at christmas or not... really, even on F95 i think most people have other things to do than to play a porn game on christmas :D Well i dont, cause i skip christmas anyways... but most people dont do this. So i dont see a point for stressing himself out just to get it out during christmas days. If he can make it a week before christmas, fine... but its not that realistic as we can see. So my friendly advice for DPC... just let december be, get it out first week in january and everything will be fine.

I was disappointed that he missed november as a release date, but now... late december, or first week january, i dont care... but for him i think the healthier thing to do, would be releasing it in january instead.

That update shouldnt make anyone feel confident about a December release. It reeks of uncertainty. Come on, in your heart of hearts do you really trust a person doing quality work in the busiest month of the year? I don't trust anyone getting work done in December then sit around to push inevitable bugfix patches, plus DPC is his own boss who doesnt need to listen or cater to anyones deadline.

The release is going out in January. Called it weeks ago.

Hope the December release goal is met. Hopefully around February the WT and a full multi-mod/cheat mod is available so I can dl and play the new season by then.
Scrappy's* cheat mod is usually up a week after the release at the latest, my man. (My bad I got the two mixed up and also I checked. Scrappy only took 2-3 days for the WT cheat mod regarding ep 8)

i'll believe this when i see it. all previous branches literally led to "Fuck Fuck Fuck" ending.....
Right there with you. :cautious:

sure, this seems totally necessary at this point in time. lol gimme a break with this shit
I may be giving DPC too much credit, but I *think* this is a necessary concession to Steam. Selling an update below the Steam price is not a problem, but selling a standalone copy of the game would be. Granted, I don't know how the rules work when Seasons 1&2 on Steam are split off from the new Season 3, but I have no trouble believing Steam errs on the side of its own interests.

Either way it still sucks, but an extra $5 to get a legal copy of the game is low on my list of concerns.

Cool! Let's play FUCK-MARRY-KILL.

Can only choose one of each, so no cheating, and you've gotta kill someone (I don't even hate Zoey but had no one better to kill).
Fuck: Bella (best lewd scene in the game (so far ;) ))
Marry: Sage (she has her flaws, but overall, I just like her very much)
Kill: Quinn (criminal scum and all-around asshole)

and for part 2:
Fuck: Sandy (a proper beast between the sheets)
Marry: Camila (cute, sexy, not too crazy)
Kill: Sarah (to avoid getting stabbed in the back by her)

The animation queue is down to 28 animations, and the speed feels the same as last week. My estimation from the previous status update still stands.

Animations between 4-13 seconds have been rendered to completion this week. The remaining animations range between 3-8 seconds. Seven of those animations require approximately 50% more render time than the rest.

I'm focusing on playtesting and polishing, and there is no point in listing everything I'm working on since it's in all areas of the episode.

I find things to fix with every playthrough, be it renders, dialogue, code, GUI, sound/music, etc. The episode quality is improved with every pass I make.

Due to intricate branching, I have yet to see everything I created for the episode, but I'm working my way through everything methodically.

Since I'm aiming for a December release, starting next month, the Mini DIK ($5 tier) won't have the Season 3 base game for the Interlude, and it will be moved to the DIK tier ($10), as mentioned in the past.

Like in the past, the Mini DIK tier will get the patches to upgrade the Interlude to v0.9.0 two weeks after release.

A refresher for all new patrons since the last release is that my release schedule always looks like this:

  • Early access (as soon as possible), Huge DIK ($25) tier
  • 3 days after early access, DIK ($10) tier
  • 2 weeks after the early access, Mini DIK ($5) tier (Patch only. You need the base Season 3 game to upgrade, in this case, the Interlude).
The actual dates will be announced when beta testing starts.

And since I've gotten plenty of DMs about it, the walkthrough is released between releases and after each episode, usually within 1-2 months after release, but never during the release weeks, as I'm preoccupied with community work during that time.

Have a nice weekend

Dr PinkCake

interlude was a waste of time. Who cares about that ex bitch and all the other new characters in that interlude. that whole story could of probably been summed up in 5 mins.
