I feel like DPC will give us the option to repair the throuple if it breaks up by the end of the game.
He knows people compare both his games and I think he will want to give us more options than before just to show he can.

That's for sure, Acting Lessons seems like a try out before BaDIK. We can see that he brought a lot from there, Hedwig was a HOT, there were some names like Lynette (which is not that common), also the psycologyst I believe has the same face as Lynette from BaDIK. But the thing is that it seems to show the way he thinks of a story.

Gotcha. I've seen some quads done well in other games and the elements are there if the dev wanted to go that way. Obviously I don't have full context of what type of plots DPC does, so was just idle speculation.

There are some nice games with harem paths out there. But Acting Lessons and the intro of BaDIK do not point in that direction to me. DPC seems to, although he know it's porn, wants to keep some "reality" (and I like that).

Well, i was a bit optimistic the last months and considered an october release. Which is reasonable cause so far the longest dev cycle was 10 months. (dont know why so many people are talking about that DPC only release every 12 months, that was never the case so far, but it could be this time)

Episode 9 was December 2022, episode 10 was December 2023. As this episode is not going to be shorter than episode 10 that's why people are convinced that December is the earliest possible date for episode 11. As you also said in your post though there is a possibility of him adding more content that he originally planned for this episode, unfortunately as you thought that the maximum cycle was 10 months so far, rather than taking the update from October to December it would take the update from December to early 2025.

Ironically, including a poly path could arguably be a more realistic depiction since recent studies have found somewhere around 10% of people in the US have engaged in it at some point in their life and 5% actively still are. This actually makes it more common than lesbian relationships (about 4%) and I rarely see complaints that including a lesbian relationship isn't realistic.

I don't think so tbh. Sort of like DPC I kind of think I'm better than most people and if I know anything about that kind of attitude it's that it must annoy him greatly that people compare both his games.

I know it would eat me alive if I was him.

Honestly I'm not a fan of the "harem" tag definition here either, but for completely different reasons lol. Namely, that there isn't a "polyamory" tag for more equitable relationships between multiple partners.

Edit: Harem also has the connotation that you can have all the girls at once, whereas in some games even if there's poly paths it might not be the case that you can "catch em all".

Agreed, harem games can be amusing,but I'd much rather see actual polyamory. though id still rather it be an mc and 2+ women,

If it was just MC dating Josy and Maya I would say you got me but with Josy and Maya also dating each other while being with MC there should be a level for that if you want to call it a semi harem ok

to me a harem is multiple women in a relationship with one guy, where polyamory is a group all in a relationship with each other. harem is kinda standard for AVNs, but for me poly is more interesting.

Which is the nice thing about Dik it goes deeper then most games even if we have different idea's on where things going at least it isn't normal kind of AVN relationship, what ever happens there are risks that affect the other two people and that a nice change

Yeah, regardless of where we think things are going, I can agree that (other than perhaps the rocky start) the MJ triad is a more realistic depiction of polyamory than almost any full harem games.

Those can be fun, but they get a bit stale after a while unless there some other significant draw (like a really good story).

nice they are adding an actual polyamory tag, and split up the ntr tags appropriately. the second part will likely spur al kinds of arguments over what is actually what lol.
