Newsflash, neither of them was your Girlfriend, if anything they cheated on each others with you a third party, that they both fell attraction, so that's why they forgive each other so easily .
but each their own.
your's beta MC would probably not even able to handle the awesomeness of Josy and Maya
Newsflash...I hope both of them turn into HOTS sluts...would be just fine for me.

I always played with minigames off, you don't miss on any special render, you will still get them from free roam parts and unlocking the vault in each episode. Money is no problem either, the free roam parts have extra money you can find to make up for money you miss from not playing minigames. I also found no situation which needed any "tests passed" stat, so I'd say there is no problem if you want to play with them off.
I've never played with mini-games off so I have a question in the other direction:

a) what happens when there is a fight in game (e.g. with Chad or the 3 jocks)? Do people just get thrown into the deep end with potentially nothing invested in skills or you choose an outcome via text or what?

b) can you still get the "copying for the Nerds money" without actually taking the tests?

a) If you choose to fight, you will win ... if it is possible to win.
If you play against Derek you can choose to win or loose.

b) no. You pass tests automatically. You don't have the option to buy stuff from Derek or Magnar at all.

If you played through the game before, start a new game and fast forward using the CTRL-key to see how the game plays without mini-games.

What f96zonetrooper said. You auto win fights that are possible to win and auto pass tests, no option to buy anything from them.

There is one situation in the game with Magnar, where if you spend all the money in a strip club and don't have minigames. You can't pay him for a wegie.
Hmm I remember still having money for it, that Magnar part comes much later, in episode 4, there were some free roams before it which I could get more money from.

Ep 5 (expected to release end of May/start of June) is the start of season 2 and season 2 is likely to be 4 episodes (5-8) like the previous season was.

Patreon donors get each episode as they come (every 4-5 months) and Steam players get the whole season bundle after all episodes are complete.

I just played through this game for the first time and it's really dang good. I was addicted to it for about 3 days straight. lol
The story is good and most of the characters are relatable in their own way. My only slight regret is playing this game now instead of when it was completed. Now I have to wait for the other episodes to release, ugh! Ha ha. At least it's nice knowing the next one sounds like it's around the corner.

So far I have two main save files. One being a horn dog, staying with Sage, and banging everyone I can in one play through for as many scenes as possible. The other where I'm staying with Derek (hilarious path) and being loyal to the woman I like most, in case hoeing around has consequences later on. I'm probably going to make a 3rd save file, where I'm staying with Bella, but I will probably wait until the next episode is released to help get me back into the groove of... Being a DIK.

I just hope this game doesn't get quite as dark as Acting Lessons. I played that game a few months back and while it was amazing, the twist towards the end was brutal. I haven't been able to go back and replay that game after finishing it once. That's not a knock on the game, because I think it's really, really good. But man... It's hard to replay it again after you know how it turns (for me, at least). I hope this one doesn't go down as dark of a path, but I have this strange sinking feeling, as I play through it, that it will. Hopefully, if we've done certain things in a play through, we can help it from spiraling too out of control. I guess we'll see. Either way, I expect great things and can't wait for the next episode.

Considering the game will probably not be completed for another 2-5 years, it's probably harder to wait for it be completed than it is to wait for each new update. :ROFLMAO:

As for going down the AL route, it's probably not going to do that. DPC has gotten a lot of flak for that, a lot of it unwarranted, and it's apparently what drove them from this site according to some of the OGs. This game is a lot more lighthearted in tone and though there are shady parts like Quinn's drug dealing operation, I don't think we'll see anyone die.

Probably will have a lot of heartbreak along the way as each of the main LI's secrets are revealed, but shouldn't be anything as heavy as death (although the way some people react to the M & J situation, you'd think it was the same thing ).

Ha, true! Waiting until it was completed would of been a very long while and probably harder in the long run. But at least I wouldn't fully know what I was missing. Not sure if that would be better or worse, though... lol

That's good to hear that it probably won't go down a too similar path, thanks for the info on that. I do like a lot of the lighthearted moments in this game, but it does still have it's fair share of serious moments as well, which I like. It's a shame that too many people complaining about AL might of drove them away from here. While it was a shocking turn indeed, it's not something I thought about complaining over. While brutal on "the feels" I respected the story it told and thought it was for sure unique. Not every game should have a happy orgy ending. :p

I wrote about the game without minigames. I responded to the question of whether the player would lose something without them.
Below are the lessons and free roam that you take between Magnar and the strip club.

English minigame on - $ off - 0
Gender Studies on - $? off - 0
13th free roam - on - 0 off – 0 (Prep house)
14th free roam - on - $$ off – 0 (Maya block cabinet)
English minigame on - $ off – 0

Minigames on - $($)$$$=4/5, off - 0

You're right, my bad. I had it because I always leave the club with 5$ even after buying all the dances, the strip club free roam has enough money to pick up and refill after buying all dances.

If you enjoyed the game and the characters, replay it and also play the paths you missed in your first playthrough. There may be details you overlooked when playing the first time or which have a different meaning once you know more about the characters' background stories.

Also ... better play the coming episodes when they are released. If you wait for the last episode, you will miss a lot of fun now and if some of the later episodes unfortunately turn out to be less fun, they may spoil the whole game for you and you would miss the good time you could have now.

So far I have two main save files. ...
Unless you have very limited disk space you can have "unlimited" number of save games in ren'py games. So you can play as a DIK and save every scene in a new slot, then leave a page blank, start a neutral game, save every scene in a new slot, etc.
To access higher pages than 1-9, just use the small arrow buttons.

It started as lesbian relationship but mc already turned it into a more bisexual direction by having sex with Josy and Maya.

How can a lesbian relationship be represented in the game? May mc watch or participate when they have sex? Will M&J share with other (bisexual) HOT girls?
Technically, the MC could decide to stay as friends with Maya and Josy and then help support their relationship in future episodes. The MC probably wouldn't watch the two of them personally, but we (the player) could see lewd scenes between them thanks to the magic of cutscenes.

What is the connection between Jade and Tybalt? There is a photo of Tybalt in Jade's house.

Maya said about Tybalt :
"That guy over there is Tybalt, their fraternity president. Every year, his family donates a lot of money to B&R. It's always a big deal in the local newspapers."

If Jade and Stephen would be Tybalt's rich parents, they would probably not work in the college. And Maya who is a local would know it.
Given that Jade says Stephen's 'professorship' was bought rather than earned, I think there's a very good chance he is Tybalt's dad. It's the simplest explanation and seems to cover all the known facts.

Maya might well know about the relationship, but I don't recall her ever seeing Stephen so there's no reason she would have mentioned it to the MC.

Josy and mc are likely same age and before college they seem to have lived close to each other. (In bike range) How come that they never met before this summer job in their hometown?
The implication I got is that Josy used to live close to Maya (and B&R) when she was younger. She moved to the MC's hometown at some point (likely as part of her parents' divorce), but continued to commute to her old school until she graduated.

Last question lol, do you actually miss anything from playing without mini-games? I don't know if i want to bother with them my second go around.
The mini-games give you a much steadier income stream (lots of free roams don't have any money in them otherwise), but so far you can usually make do if you budget properly. They also make it easier to find some of the special renders, but those renders can always be found in a free-roam if you look hard enough. So it's mostly a question of whether you enjoy playing the mini-games or not.

Personally, I have a real love-hate relationship with them. I find them somewhat fun and they do a good job spicing up the gameplay loop... the first time I play the game. But they are a royal pain in the ass if I'm replaying the game to re-watch a given scene. So I have a couple playthroughs with them turned on that save after nearly every mini-game. The rest of my playthroughs turn them off and just save at significant branch points.

So many theories and interesting ideas put forward by the fans in this thread. If only people were as serious about RL as their porn games, we'd have a utopian society with flying cars and robot servants.
In our collective defense, real life is a lot more complicated and brutal than porn games. We'd probably still be stuck living in our flawed society... with robots and flying cars, admittedly.

Oh yeah, I fully plan to play through it at least one more time with different choices, maybe [probably] more. I am too hooked now that I think I probably will play each episode as they come out. Waiting months for each episode seems like it will be hard enough already, so I doubt I could wait years for it to be completed now. It's like I opened Pandora's Box, there's no going back now. Ha ha.

Oh, and by "two save files", I should clarify a bit. I have more than 2 saves, I just meant 2 main saves that I will continue from when the next episode hits. Sorry for the confusion. I appreciate the tips, none the less though. Like I didn't know you could go higher than page 9. Thanks for that.

If I’m not totally wrong, but now the results don’t affect the girls in any way... yet(?)
but in the future, season 2 or 3 could be affected.

Example:
If MC is bad in math or English then Jill doesn’t like it.
As Mya doesn't like if MC is a bad feminism thing.

But this would probably add too much variation to things(Girl/chick and DIK pts+Test results)
As far as i know, failed tests have influence, although only small at the moment.
In the cafeteria scene, passing/failing tests have influence if Bella likes mc and if she recommend Jill to date mc

Heh, I remember when this one was brought up all the time by a certain fanbase wasn't going to happen back then it won't happen now. It goes against Maya's character just wait until she finds out about Quinn's menu she won't like that one bit.
Yeah I busted a laugh when she said she will do whatever necessary for it, like seriously? :WaitWhat: patiently waiting for that moment of truth to come haha
