Still completely confused by this scene.
If we assume Melanie means to call Chad, what does she expect to happen? They didn't take a picture, so all she could tell him is that the MC openly kissed Sage. Isn't that what Chad feared was going on back when he first clashed with the MC back in Episode 1? This might be confirmation of his fears, but why does Melanie think this will make Chad less determined to stick with Sage?
Riona thought Chad attacked the MC over Sage, which is a pretty reasonable guess for anyone who doesn't know about the envelopes. Unless Melanie and Sarah do know about the envelopes, then surely they would likewise assume Chad is already willing to fight the MC over Sage. Meaning he would fight to 'defend' the relationship - practically the opposite of breaking up with her. So why do they think hearing she kissed the MC would reverse Chad's response?
Frankly, even if Melanie and Sarah do know about the envelopes I'm not sure how watching the MC kiss Sage would help break up Chad and Sage. Chad's envelope obviously had evidence of some secret Chad wanted to keep hidden; that seems like a much better tool to force a breakup than hearsay about something Chad already suspects.
For the life of me I just cannot see any way to make sense of their actions, unless they really are just crazy chicks who like to stir up shit and feel very slightly guilty about making Sage feel bad.
That was not my statement but short summary of what Darkmetal said.Affinity - "something that reveals only under pressure"- also not true, it's not only under pressure. this is also just your assumption, and it's wrong.
Dude, are you on drugs? I guess you haven't seen me arguing, I was just comparing his interpretation with how DPC has introduced those systems. And yes, I wasn't aware that the status cup actually exist as it should be. Also I do like consequences in my games, thank you very much. What all do respect, you can't win this argument against Darkmetal. just let it go. it's okay to be wrong.
I get it , you don't like it that your choice has consequences.
Let's drop for a second all that Sage's "fuck buddies" narrative, how M/J are ok with no string attached stuff and even Bella's encouraging MC to continue pursue Jill because "what happened was one-time thing" and turn to meta-side. So far, as you're well aware, two playthroughs are enough to see pretty much all the content (was there any at staying with Derek? not sure about that) and I'm pretty sure that DPC intend to keep it this way as long as possible because it's a decent balance between players who are demanding all at once (there was some ITT even, I remember) and players who are value grounded setting and believable enough approach (I, for one, wish the game has much more branches and restrictions). After reading Q&A from Feb., my guess is that there're will be almost no major restrictions till the end of season 2 at the very least. Hell, even beyond if the pace of storytelling will continue.I just hope that things with all LIs can last as long as possible. I know that there are LIs that can technically be cut off already, but I'd rather get as much content with each of them before having to make any definitive choice. If it comes down to the last couple of episodes to choose, fine, but if this game does indeed go for 16 or 20 episodes and I'm down to just 1 or 2 LIs after ep 8 or 9, then it's not so fun for me anymore.
A choice will come eventually, but I'd like to have as much cake as possible and eat it too before then.
man,you have to do a restrospective:Still completely confused by this scene.

after you take a relationship omission like that, you just don't feel like going on the Maya / Josy route anymore.Surprised no one chooses Maya at all anymore. For me is
1. Maya
2. Josy
3. Riona
The only thing that staying with Derek got was sex with the stripper Rose, but nothing in terms on the main cast of characters.Let's drop for a second all that Sage's "fuck buddies" narrative, how M/J are ok with no string attached stuff and even Bella's encouraging MC to continue pursue Jill because "what happened was one-time thing" and turn to meta-side. It's not even clear if those LI really are cut off yet. Maya and Josy's dialog certainly leaves open the possibility that either could get together with a "just friends" MC down the line, if their relationship with each other falls apart again. Likewise an MC who refused to become Sage's fuck buddy flat out tells Sage it was her obsession with Chad that got in the way. So I think it's definitely possible we may not have reached the point where we have to choose a girl for good.I just hope that things with all LIs can last as long as possible. reading this i just remember CJ for gta san andreas, when pink will make another game :I'd like to think that the more this game goes on and the more that gets explained, the less theorising there will be. But this episode introduced, like, 6-10 new things that are being talked about, so there's probably not much chance of it slowing down until at least the last couple of episodes, maybe.
But then, when the game is done in 2-4 years, it will be all about dissecting the whole thing and how certain things didn't work out the way people hoped, how certain things didn't make sense in the end, how certain plot threads turned out be pointless, etc, etc. So the discussion of this game is never likely to slow down even after it's finished.
1-SageDid anyone had a change of heart about the girls after ep5? i sure have
so gentlemen your top 3 please, GO!
1. Jill
2. Sage
3. Josy (the best sex scene in the game so far, BRAVO!)
Josy stepped up for me in this episode, first with that beautiful emotional moment with her dad, HOT AF sex scene right after and also at hangout with Maya when she was suprised with Maya's stupid words that we should still keep things casual and have sex with other people. We can see that Josy doesn't want that, she wants MC and that's it
You mean Caleb? Now it all makes sense.I mean that scene heavily implies it's mel
That'd be one hell of a twist it was Caleb the whole time we were all fools that's why Chad isn't into sageYou mean Caleb? Now it all makes sense.
The only scene I can think of was with Rose at the Pink Rose. That was not my statement but short summary of what Darkmetal said.

Same I was into Maya / Josy until Ep 4...now i dont want to do anything with them. Sage & Jill are my new waifus nowafter you take a relationship omission like that, you just don't feel like going on the Maya / Josy route anymore.
It does strike me as a touch pandering to the "got to get them all" crowd that one of the least sexually open LI's is the one going with "no strings".It's not even clear if those LI really are cut off yet. So I think it's definitely possible we may not have reached the point where we have to choose a girl for good.
On a technically related note, to verify the wording when the MC talks about turning down Sage, I went to a playthrough where Maya and Josy were the only girls the MC had shown any real interest in. Given that, I find the following juxtaposition simultaneously amusing and very slightly depressing.

I know quite a few people think that that Maya picnic scene, with her saying they should all have "no strings attached", goes against her character, but I actually think it's an evolution of her character. It's not even clear if those LI really are cut off yet.
