I managed to get this done by the end of Round 7 (with enough points to raise the first group to 90% Clean for good measure) without buying any of the skill boosters. I'm scheduled to complete repairs on the mansion and order the windows at the start of Round 8. At that point I can start buying the Work of the remaining DIKs up as we run up the score in case we need to bankroll, say, a Halloween party.
You have described the path of action which fits my playstyle. Now, I just have to figure out how to arrive at that destination from the starting point. (I don't yet understand how the minigame works.)

Seriously, I was enjoying this game until faced with the "renovation," but I haven't touched it since. After a long, hard day of work, the last thing I want in the middle of my relaxation time is more "work."

Dik route is kind of a douchbag, but to be honest that's kinda the games fault, i really hate that this game also comes across with those morality systems where you are ridiculously evil or excesively good (or in this case, you are either an asshole or a pussy)

Is one of the few flaws i see on it
Only if you go full tilt to one side or the other.
It's perfectly reasonable to do a little of both DiK and Chick, just lean to the side needed for the route you're on.
As an example. On my Maya & Josey and Jill/Bella saves (both of which require you lean to the Chick side), my MC still stands his ground and beats the crap out of jocks when the choice comes up.

IMO it's one of the story's great strengths that you can mix and match your DiK/Chick choices as you like.

First there was the crazy aunty Jill theory and now this cousin Sage... what's next our mc is actually a Burke so Jade's mommy play wasn't that far from the truth? :D
I just don’t think people pay attention. You gotta read between the lines and wilfully misinterpret everything as incest to get the whole story in this game.

My take on what we know so far is Lynette’s twin sister probably married Patrick (making Maya the MC’s cousin) before dying simultaneously due to twin stuff.

Due to Ep2 I got the impression that before marrying Tommy’s father, Josy’s mother was married to MC’s grandfather making it pretty obvious Josy is actually MC’s aunt (Jill was a bluff).

If you look at Neils thumbs you can see a distinct genetic feature that only one other character has... Sage. It’s not 100% proof she’s his daughter but Chekhov’s incestual gun would make it a fair bet she’s actually the MC’s sister. Why draw such attention to both their thumbs?

I don’t think I even have to explain why Bella is related to the MC, they have basically outright said it. In fact I’m 90% sure DPC did it was that blatant. If not just look at how clean her axe and boots were and tell me she isn’t related to him.

As for Jill. She’s a clever one. The double bluffs in her story confused people but if you follow the threads she’s almost certainly legally MC’s grandmother but I’m betting you anything the big twist is she’s genetically his daughter.

The clues are all there, just some people are too ignorant to see it.

Yeah, the mansion fixing part is the only one where I went whatever and ended up picking people by gut feeling. I just couldn't be bothered. I promised myself I'll make new saves where I take it seriously, but I still have time before the next chapter... so maybe later.

Well, yeah. But with that locked affinity thing, you pretty much are gonna be left with little choice

This week I've mostly been working on animations, trying to build a render queue to last a while. It's basically a big battle against the new GPU cards because they have such high performance.

I will have some numbers to show you next week. I will be spending the upcoming week focusing on posing and rendering animations.

This weekend I will release the first preview of episode 8 for the +$10 tiers.

I will kick June off with a new cosmetic poll and cover one of the special render polls.

Poll News
The cosmetic poll for Josy, which ended today, was exciting because the result was different in the tiered polls.

The majority vote of the $10 tier was for option number 5; in the $15 tier there was a tie between options 4 and 5, and both $25 and +$30 polls voted in favor of option 4.

When tallying the votes, the final result was:

Option 4 - 37.7% of votes

Option 5 - 35.5% of votes

And the winner of the poll is thus option number 4:

Have a nice weekend

She isn't from a wealthy family (at least wealthy compared to others we know of, like B&R). Sage says at the party that her dad is trying to impress people/make connections. So he isn't rich enough to draw attention, he's the one that gives attention.
We can't assume her family is less rich from just from the info we got from that prep party...
In wealthy circles there's alot other status factors then just nominal wealth....
For instance are you "old money" or "selfmade", is it your money or did you marry into a wealthy family?
Or even what is the source of your income? Between your money coming from stocktrade, from being some kind of Larry Flynt with a porn empire or some big gangster.... The source of your income will be measured in respect or being frowned upon...

At this time we can only be sure Sage's father (or manbun) is not total incrowd, we see 2 others trying not to include him in attending some holiday retreat.... We don't see WHY.... For all we know he might have a bad drink or he's the only one bringing the wife or he never stops selling whatever his trade is. Effectively spoiling their fun is a reason not to want him there..

Besides that we see Jill and Bella speaking about Sage.. Bella tells she expected her to be a dumb spoiled princess...
If even Jill would think that way, it would even make sense if Sage's family actually is more wealthy then the Royces...

Also we know Sage hates the preps...
Besides that Jill tried to talk to her in the past but Sage avoided getting on better terms with her...
Reason enough to assume the preps are "Old money", the Burgmeister and Royce's founded the college and Jill isn't living there as part of the frat, she's there on her family's name...

I preferred option 6, but option 4 was a close second. I'm happy to see option 4 win. However, the fact that we almost got saddled with the boring option 5 (white) means that these Patreon Philistines still can't be trusted with cosmetic polls. God help us when the sex act poll happens.

Option 3, hand holding was the clear winner.

That #4 and #6 are so close is the problem, the majority might have preferred a colored outfit, but they were not sure if they want to go for the lighter tone or not. You'd have to sum up #4 and #6 to get a "white vs orange" result.
If a second voting was held without option 6, you would notice a massive increase of votes for #4.

For Lynette's family, we will certainly have a twist. It will not necessarily be on the identity of the family.

Maybe Lynette's parents, after her death, ended up saying to themselves that they wanted to know their grandson. Maybe even get custody, so legal battle, the MC's father wins.

If we imagine the twist connecting the MC to a character present at the university, there are 4 candidates for the moment:

Jill, Sage, Rusty, and the Stephen-Jade-Tybalt family.

MC cousin of Jill or Sage, we would be on the verge of incest, and I think that's not the DPC thing at all. Jade, it would be a little less incest (married to her uncle), but I don't think so either.

So Rusty would remain, which would make the MC a Burgemeister. The MC's father might have said or done something knowing that his son is going to this college (which is called Burgemeister and Royce).

So my theory is that there is no family link between the MC and the people meet in college.

I don't subscribe to the Lynette family twist theory, but the line between the emphasis on Lynette in the game and the emphasis on her in this thread is starting to blur, I'm getting confused you motherfuckers (term of endearment of course)!

I don't think the game has placed a huge amount of emphasis on her to the extent that we need a pay off. I think it's just that the MC is getting to know his "Family" (both the new [DIKs] and the old [his dad] as well as the new old [Lynette]).

But at the same time, if nothing much comes from the diary... It'll probably have more to do with sharing his past with his girls. He's already shared the mom's atrocious movie taste with Maya. Maybe he'll share his mom's love for anal with Jill (oh you know Lynette was down with that!) :sneaky:

Is it just me or does anybody else feel that Bella was close to Jill’s sister?
I think you're being influenced by the random ramblings of this thread. I don't know that there is anything at all to link them except their ages, and given Lana was the black sheep, she probably didn't go to college either.

Still, the fact that Bella says that Jill is very precious to her, maybe she was Lana's friend and she took Jill under her wing after shit hit the fan with the sister. Once again, completely evidence free theory.

Lana is maybe 5 years older than Jill.

Bella is 15 years older than Jill.

Making Bella 10 years older than Lana.

They weren't friends.
But Bella's 15 years older than Jill and they're friends. I don't know if their is a connection with Jill's sister or not, but at some point we'll have to learn what the connection between Jill and Bella is. It just seems so unlikely a friendship.
