Now that they've made us commit to one of the main LIs, are the next 8 eps just gonna be us getting tempted to cheat? Cause there's no chance I'm fuckin MCs ex over Bella.

Also it's really gonna take 3 seasons to fuck Cathy...That's too steep a price for losing Bella.

I've gone through Episode 8 with several different runs, and I think I've seen just about all there is to see without a guide. Now I need to sort out my thoughts on it.

This was definitely a large update. Yet somehow it feels extremely thin, as though the important parts were diluted by an unrelenting stream of high-gloss filler material. Worse, while several scenes were quite nice in and of themselves, the overall character/story progression was handled surprisingly gracelessly.

BaDIK hasn't felt this railroaded since Episode 4. Far too many of our choices were ignored or neutered, seemingly for no reason beyond a lack of imagination by DPC. The titular "crossroads" in the MC's relationships comes not as a natural result of our choices, nor even as the result of an external crisis a la Josy's arrival at the end of Episode 3. No, this crossroad is literally because the MC woke up one day and decided dating multiple girls was unworkable no matter what had been said before. The episode then abruptly ends before the MC can actually implement his decision, meaning there's a high likelihood we're going to be stuck doing this dance all over again as Season 3 unfolds.

As a result, my enthusiasm for Season 3 has diminished significantly. It feels like we're going to be stuck in endless loops as the main story is advanced drip by tiny drip. I've long wanted the MC to be able to commit to a single relationship, but that was always with the assumption that the game would branch sufficiently to reflect those differences. Between the ham-fisted "crossroads" and the revelations in the closing montage, I don't think that's going to happen anymore, and the rate at which it fails to happen is going to be glacially slow. That's not going to sit well as we wait 6+ months for the next installment to clean up this mess.

So yeah, overall I'm pretty down on Episode 8, and the game as a whole. Now let's look at the details, which means spoilers.

tl;dr Despite a lot of fun aspects, Episode 8 overall feels like a big step in the wrong direction and I'm no longer eager to play Season 3.

I think this episode soured my opinion of the game and felt that the whole decide who you want to be with got tossed into the story out of nowhere. I don't like how you have to choose one or the other. It makes the game less enjoyable since the characters will always hold this grudge in future episodes so we won't have authentic interactions. If you can only select one character or (Maya/Josy) to be with then what happens to all of the casual relationships the MC has? Would he reject all of them? Bringing in Zoey, revealing how Sage is a Burke, and MC's mother being related to the Royces make the world feel smaller and it feels forced. I really do not like how choosing a partner was handled. I wish DPC fleshed out the characters emotions with each other beforehand rather than to deal with the aftermath (Bella/Jill and Sage/Jade in this regard). Yeah lol. I just feel sad about how the LI's found out about each other and the fact that you HAVE to cut someone off. It did not happen naturally but for the sake of shock factor.
I feel like shit playing this episode

Guys wheres the "heart" on the pack quest?
that was the hard one for me to find too. its in one of the bedrooms (dont remember the exact one, but there is only like 5 so you'll get it) on the back right wall. the "heart" is a heart shaped collage of pictures on the wall

I'm on neutral path and I have the option to pay her as well. Not sure about chick path.
Also maybe if the MC is on Jill path that option is not available? Similar thing happened in EP7 if you dated Jill. She is like cock blocker character
I'm neutral and on Jill path, and I could pay Sarah and Melanie to fuck them (I payed for the gloryhole sex in the dorm's restroom with Camilia and Riona in episode 1 though)

Some glorious moments this episode, and some unacceptable crimes:

First the crimes:
  • Now I've never had two girls in bikinis lying with their heads in my lap, but I'm assuming it's not far different from one girl in a bikini lying on my lap, and there is no way, in the history of ever, that in a budding sexual romance such as theirs, that the mc's hands wouldn't have been under their bikini tops feeling their tits. It's just what you fucking do in a situation like that!
  • Riona... WTF!? The mc white knighted the shit outta her. He hunted that stalking motherfucker down like Deckard on a replicant's ass, brought him on his knees to face the music, and all he gets a kiss?! They were at a dorm party! There was a girl there getting spit-roasted, and all the mc got was a kiss?! Riona was going outta her mind, she was losing her shit over this stalking cunt. I'm sorry, but given their history, a kiss just isn't good enough!
  • The Madame. Yes the fucking Madame! After I finished raping the game, there were two scenes that were left unlocked. I'm thinking, who are these two lovely side babes that my mc has neglected? Turns out it wasn't two lovely ladies, it was just one big old one! Sage didn't even get two gallery scenes this episode! Fuck off you old cunt!
  • On the subject of Sage, apart from the threesome (which was more about Quinn to me), Sage got nothing. Even the walk in the woods had the massive anvil hanging over it of the MC having to dump every other girl. Unless I'm missing something, this was definitely not Sage's episode.
  • Becky... We didn't get to thank her for organising the party. :sneaky: Unless I missed something, she didn't even acknowledge the mc. That would have been OK if nothing happened between them in ep7, but if she blew him, there definitely should have been a round two, and if he left her puking her guts out in the toilet, there definitely should have been some angry glances. No, it was like they never met before, she totally ghosted him. Considering she's "Hey, you."ing him on Rooster after the HOT's party, it seemed forgotten.
  • Halloween. That all I'm saying. Hallo-fucking-ween!
Now for some of the glories:
  • Oh that date with Bella. I'm talking that first train wreck of a burning house! Who here has not fucked up a date early in their lives and considered jumping out the restroom window and going to join the circus to avoid the humiliation? I'm glad they sorted their shit out though, so it was just light entertainment rather than a 4 episode long awkward plotline.
  • Jill. This was her time to shine.
    • Her piano recital, she did it! And the duet finally came! (Of course if the mc doesn't help her, she tanks like a motherfucker - so practice the guitar boys, you can't leave our Jillybean hanging!)
    • The dinner with friends. That was so chill and casual. I was thinking we were gonna have to sit through an awful meal with a bunch of Tybalts, or witness another of her stalkers, instead everyone was golden. And who hasn't downed an excessive amount of wasabi to try to impress someone? As soon as I saw it on the plate I knew our boy was fucked.
    • And watching Jill take down Tybalt. She took a 2 episode long drama, stuck a shotgun up it's ass and blew it away. However that scene plays out, watching Tybalt howling in the background was priceless. And the waiter with his confetti, his timing was impeccable!
    • And the moment we've all been waiting for. And waiting and waiting for. It defied all porn game logic. There was no "hand job this episode", "blowjob next episode", "cunnilingus after that", "oh no I'm too afraid, take it out" bullshit. Our girl committed and it was all she could have hoped for. We've been denied so long, when the time came, it was truly surreal.
  • Sage, Quinn and the mc? Did anyone believe this would happen? Well it fucking did! And Quinn was wearing that creepy face mask the whole time too, what more could anyone ask for! I'm just glad RanliLabz didn't write the scene, otherwise it would have been the mc's ass that Quinn was stuffing!
  • Josy on the diving board! That shit came outta nowhere! I thought she was fearless bitch, diving off the pier naked, kicking Tommy in the balls, but to see her crawling around like fucking Spiderman was priceless!
There's lots more. It was a good episode, where most of its shit was handled well. Some mysteries were solved and some dramas came to an end. As a season finale, I think it was good, and while many saw the cliff hanger coming, it was still a good note to end on.

Where's the story going from here? Fuck knows. But I imagine there's a Halloween party coming...

Out of curiousity. To do the Bella and Jill path, you can't fool around with any of the other dozens of girls and need to sleep over at Bella house the end of chapter 4 right. Also no messing with Cathy or Jasmine?

It seems kind of boring if you take that route for some reason?

So i take it there's no intention of a harem choice of any kind down the road?
Each update seems to be forcing a narrowing down of your choices.
