DPC doesn't seem to care much about botched renders and inconsistent models; he will keep the render even if it came out horrendous; either his schedule and immense workload don't allow him the luxury to make beautifully rendered characters or he has developed some kind of body dysmorphia; I'm betting on the former. so as long as his patrons continue to show enough tolerance or they were really content with the situation . He will carry on with the problem in EP9/S3, as we have already seen in recent preview. :HideThePain:
I think Pink just stopped doing post-processing. In episode 8, he has renderings with errors that are corrected during post-processing. He has a really big load, he does about 200 renders a week, does it automatically and his eye is blurred that he simply does not notice some errors. I really don't understand why he can't take an additional person who will do post-processing. Post-processing is a routine process that has nothing to do with creativity.

Micromanaging (and trust) issues are the problem I believe. Like he'd rather work his ass off than to check the work of someone else. Like he really believes that he checks up on the work and he doesn't like it, they'll have to do it again and lose time (in reality this whole thing would save time).

Besides, the guy seems to have legit trust issues with people, so I'm sure that he's worried that the guy would start leaking renders and etc.

Not to mention, that he has to pay the guy for the work and he'd rather keep the money to himself.

In episode 2 (I believe) right before MC and Derek trespass into the preps mansion, Tommy's telling Rusty how Heather struggles to deepthroat him and says that she's no Riona when it comes to deepthroating.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
Don't worry, Episode 10 will take great pains to reveal that reports of Riona's oral skills are based entirely on a sarcastic cluck by Melonie. :p

I am ready to do post-processing/compositing for him for free for the first six months.:PogChamp:
Pink said that he had experience working as a team leader in the company, so we can rule out that he is an introvert and a sociophobe, so it is difficult for him to communicate. I'm more inclined to think that Pink is an incredibly toxic person in real life, who constantly quarrels with everyone and considers his opinion the only right one. Therefore, none of the potential employees could work with him.

Proving once again you're a man of culture, all praise the lord Bottass :BootyTime:
Now it kinda makes me wish DPC was aware of this meme and put it into the game like Big A and Drake's dance...
Well DPC is Swedish, so there is a chance that he has heard of Valterri The God and seen this picture.

Would be cool if MC and Sage are going on a walk by a river or something (kind of like that leaf fall scene in the end of episode 8) and we see Valterri swimming in the river in the background with that magnificent ass. :KEK::KEK::KEK:

At the company I worked at before I quit and started working for myself, our department head was the nicest person I ever knew in my life. Like he was the coolest boss I ever had. Ironically his good nature and his unwillingness to do cutthroat stuff and screw people over were the only thing preventing him from moving further up the company (and he had the talent and skills for it).

I ended up quitting afterwards but I still talk with the guy from time to time and he is one of the people that I'm glad I met in my life.

The point was, most people at leadership positions HAVE to be assholes. Like you probably end up hating people who are like that, but those guys are expected to lead and achieve successful results. So they have to be like that, because winning has a price and leadership has a price.

I have followed BADIK since its first update and had some very high hopes but imo the problem with this game is the cheap drama with who is whos father/mother which would be easly solvable by knowing their last names (crazy to think we dont after so much time and the characters going to the same classes).
Second big problem and the most important one for me, since its a porn game, is the super vanilla sex. The height of decadence in this game is anal sex. The romance with all the characters is rather generic with no fetishes or anything. Since a few updates in we have basically had the same sex scene over and over with maybe some anal sprinkled in. BADIK really needs some rougher and more intense scenes because it got really stale really fast. Not saying every girl in the game should have some rougher scenes but at least some of them should. In real life there are a lot of girls who like it rough so you can’t say its unrealistic.
It's not really meant to be a sex fantasy game to fulfil all our deviant desires. It's a character driven, melodramatic story with some sex scenes. So I don't expect the sex to progressively become spicier any time soon. Try "Fetish Locator" for a college based AVN with a more adventurous sexual agenda.

Regarding surnames and family members. It's really not that big of a deal. There are close to 100 characters and some of them are related. The only big shocker is Sage and the Burkes, the rest are nothing to worry about:
  • Amelia is introduced as Jill's mom
  • Steve is introduced as the mc's boss' son
  • Patrick is introduced as Maya & Derek's dad
  • James is introduced as Bella's (ex)husband
  • Neil is introduced as the mc's dad
  • Lynette is introduced as Neil's wife / the mc's mom
  • Monica & Pete are introduced as Josy's (step) parents
  • Rox is introduced as Quinn's dad
So all of them were not shockers. The only surprises were:
  • We discovered early on that Maya and Derek were twins. It was a funny revelation and it was revealed quick enough.
  • The relationship of Jade, Burke and Tybalt comes out over time and it's not a big deal. It doesn't generate any concern.
  • Finding out Tommy is Josy's step brother is a minor shock, and it's something for the mc and Josy to laugh about. Sure the mc isn't letting Tommy know he's fucking his step sister, but Tommy must know they are close friends (if he didn't, when she kicks him in the balls for giving the mc a shiner, he'd probably work it out).
  • And then the big one was the Burkes being Sage's family. This was a big shocker for the mc, and his past actions could now come to haunt him.
So really there's just one family association that matters (Sage and the Burkes). It's people here that keep speculating that everyone is related that's taking it to ridiculous levels.

I think people are reading too much into this.

When DPC started Acting Lessons, it was a hobby, and it turned out well for him.

Then he started on BaDIK and his hobby became a huge success, so much so that he decided to do it full time.

He repeatedly tells us how much he enjoys doing this, and the satisfaction of doing something you enjoy and having it turn out really well is a great feeling.

So why would he even consider bringing other people into his employ?

Suddenly, what was initially a fun, rewarding, highly successful hobby, becomes a chore, it's now just a money making venture with employees, wages, etc.

If he's happy, why the fuck would he give what is bringing him satisfaction over to other people?

It's got nothing to do with micromanagement, trust etc.

I like posting shit on this board. Should I outsource it to others so I can post more shit, faster? I mean they could post the shit, then I just review it to make sure it looks like how I want.

Where's the fun in that?

If it was my job, and I didn't like doing it, well that's another story...

In his last Q&A he actually said he rarely not uses renders or animations, his work is already leagues above most other developers and he can't afford to throw stuff out, could it be better? Yes, if he had a team, but since that's never going to happen it's better to deal with shitty renders sometimes than waiting 2 years for one episode.
I'm not sure if he means that he rarely scraps an intended render (like deciding to scrap a scene or an expression or something like that), or if he never has to redo anything because it didn't turn out the way he wanted.

Maybe so, but I do take the poster's point about the ridiculousness of not knowing classmate's full names this far into the school term. Many things you do in any school is name-based, from room postings, homework assignments, grading, student directory, etc. Sage gets a slight pass because she shares no classes with MC, but it is still a little far-fetched that surnames are withheld so long (for the sake of drama).

At the very least, you as a student would be curious enough to do a search in the student directory to find out the girls' surnames so you could google them and find out what naughty pictures they posted online. The fact that MC doesn't do that is the least realistic thing this teenager does in game (and he does a lot of unrealistic shit). That would be the first thing you do after meeting girls (hot teachers too!) at university. It is stalking ..basic dating recon 101. Thoroughly study your target during the prep phase before launching your mission. And you know the school intranet (rooster included) must have a full listing of all student and teacher names.

You forgot the MOST IMPORTANT family association - we are aware of it, but neither MC nor Jill haven't realized it yet:

Lynette - MC's mom - and Amelia (Jill's mom) were best friends. What's Lynette's family name and her connection with the Royces (and the Burgmeisters) is the missing piece we have yet to know.

When you think about it, you realize that Maya's and Jill's stories are the main ones. Sage, Josy, Quinn and Bella - and Derek as MC's best buddy - are very important characters because of their role in Maya's and Jill's stories.

There are a lot of beautiful and nice plots and subplots, but I think that Maya's drama and Jill's hidden connection with MC are the centrepieces of BaDIK's story as a whole.
