That ep7_jill_jealousy variable is weird though, so it certainly is going to be used in the future IMO (I suppose it's going to be used on her route, because if it's also used when not on her route it's going to be weird).
Well I haven't seen the variables. I've been a good little Pinkcake minion and haven't delved deep into the code, because we all know there is no greater sin in the commandments of DPC than monkeying with his code. Mentioning F95 is commandment # 2, and a close second.

But, like I said before, I had a save point at the decision, so I didn't have to go back too terribly far. If I didn't have a save close to that point, I would have been incredibly fucking pissed off at having to restart a blue ball playthrough all because of a goddamn picnic.

OK, I'll put that down to "phrasing"...

If a girl, who really likes you, comes to your house and tells you she's organised a lovely day out for your birthday, and she (or one of her many servants) has made a picnic and everything. Do you think she'd prefer you to let her down to go see to a sick friend who is another girl (yeah, the mc lets on that it's a girl he's seeing), or that you go out on the picnic with her (and that she doesn't even know about the sick friend)?

Logically speaking, the mc already made his plans with Sage, so he hasn't done anything wrong by telling Jill:

mc: "I'm so sorry. You caught me at a bad time."mc: "I made a promise to a friend to come help her."mc: "She's sick and needs someone to take care of her."
Now I know this game has DIK/Chick points, and that'd be the chick thing to do, and Jill likes Chicky boys, but tell me honestly, which response would a real life girl prefer? Of course she would prefer that you go with her.

However, if you told her that you'd already made plans, but you're happy to ditch the sick girl, that would complicate things.

A girl would want you to think they are reasonable and would say, "Of course, you should see your sick friend", but she'd want you to say, "You know what, she'll probably be dead by the morning, so there's no real point seeing her now anyway" to which she'd reply, "Are you sure? ... Yaaah, let's go!"
If a girl, who has previously agreed it is ok to be around other females (whether dating or not) before things get official, and has been previously demonstrated a propensity to favour any altruistic actions (and what more altruistic action than tending a sick person with no possibility of sex) comes to you with an immediate idea for a picnic, but you tell her I'm sorry, I already committed to tending to the dying, then she should say ok, how about the next day? It's not like she has reservations at the priciest restaurant in B&R city.

Look I get it. Every once in a while you feel bad that a particular character is getting ripped on, so you do your best to build them back up. It's admirable. A little daft on a porn forum, yet still admirable. Jill just currently happens to be your soup du jour. You'll be back to ripping her goblin smile in no time.

All these are good reasons to dump Jill... In real life!!!

The picnic of the "goodbye party"... Unmissable!!!

She is already "almost girlfriend" to have rights, but not "enough girlfriend" to ask your version before taking stupid decisione....

So, yesterday I checked DrPinkCake's Patreon and I realized that he's got 12.100 (or so) Patrons now. If I remember well, when Episode 8 came out he posted a sort of celebration report where he wrote he had reached and got past 15.000 patrons.
Imagine having so many patreons and earn so much cash that you can buy a small game company and you still releas updates once at 6 months and now we going to once per year, yeah this is not milking at all is just pure greed... i hope he reach 1000 patreons at the end of the year and then you'll see how the bloke can release 2-3 updates per year...:ROFLMAO:

His commandments don't apply to this website though. :Kappa:

Weirder thing about that variable is that it actually transfers, so we'll see what happens with it. Although, I really hope it's not used in other routes in which Jill gets jealous of MC and the LI of your choice for no reason even if you never romanced her.

He has eyes everywhere!

Interesting variable though. I have no doubt that jealousy will play a big part in season 3. Especially with the return of Zoey.

She was ok with the mc making that choice:

Jill: "Oh... Yeah, of course. I understand."
Jill: "I didn't plan anything big. It was spontaneous."
Jill: "You're allowed to have other plans. Haha..."
Jill: "So, uh. Happy birthday."
mc "Thanks, Jill. I appreciate it."
Jill: "(I can't blurt it out now... Crap...)"
Jill: "(Maybe it's a sign?)"
Jill: "(Maybe it's best to not even tell him...)"

But at the same time even if she understood his motives (she wasn't jealous in this case), it changed the course of events.

The fact that you get severely penalised making a chick decision when dealing with a chick oriented girl, seems to be the thing that bothers people the most. But to me, just choose Jill if you want Jill. Choose Sage if you want Sage.

It also never ceases to irritate me when folks complain about delays here on this pirate site, anyway. It's one thing for patrons to complain--after all, we (I'm one of them) are the ones shelling out money month after month--but all most people on F95 have to do is just bide their time and wait.
Sorry but i fully disagree about this.

Piracy is a crime, but agree or disagree about dev choice doesn't change anything.

If it is a big shame to play BaDIK without paying the only solution is... to pay. All other opinions on dev's work are only opinions, that change nothing in the previous fact

You forgot Easter holidays, midsummer's day, the day his dog will snatch his HD and bury it in the garden, the days he will get sick, the imperative new Interlude spin-offs (Madame's new adventures; Magnar's D&G stories; and so on), next Xmas holiday.
Yeah. How dare he take the holidays off? Ottoeight is waiting for his pirated version of the game as soon as possible. The DPC has no right to rest. :KEK:

You want the game sooner, so you're suggesting he release it in half episodes. You're projecting your desires onto everyone else, but it's really what you want, otherwise you wouldn't be suggesting it.
Here you go again putting words in my mouth.

When have I ever said I want the game sooner? All I've said was:
  1. People will start losing interest due to the long release cycle.
  2. There are logical break points in the last few releases than can be utilized to split the release and have them come out quicker.
My points are entirely objective. They have nothing to do with what I want. But you can't seem to tolerate constructive criticism of a game you like and want to twist everything I said into I want this and that.

And it doesn't matter how long anyone's been here. It's obvious DPC is gonna do things his way, it's what he's always done. He is aware that the episodes are getting longer and he's trying to stop the ever expanding episode size, but he's not gonna shrink them by half the length.
And you think I haven't made the argument that it's DPC's game and he can do whatever he wants? I've been making that point since before you join. But I'm not a DPC apologist. I call a spade a spade. I'll continue to provide constructive criticism instead of joining the "DPC can do no wrong" crowd.

This is just one scenario of the many... but you dish it like it's inevitability   You don't have to sniff around Sage if you are going for Jill ! :p Fact of the matter is this little nonsensical debate about a scenario like this shows what people really are and how low on real life experience they are... Bottom line : they are fed up coz DPC decided to punish them for handling his game like it would be a harem one ;):sneaky: I dare these folks ( or the young buck generation in a similar situation ) to pull this shit with a number of GF contenders... :KEK: Let's see what the end results will be...:LOL::ROFLMAO:

You guys constantly harp back at Jill dumping the mc because he didn't go on the picnic. That's not fair to the story. She didn't decide it was over because of that.

One thing lead to another, based on your choices at that point, and by the restaurant scene, Jill had decided, based on everything that had transpired, including his getting into fights and trying to burn down Tybalt's mansion, that she wanted to call it off.

That's definitely not the same thing as her thinking, "You don't wanna come on the picnic, fine, I don't wanna see you ever again!"
But this just isn't true. I played as Saint Kellermann the Good (I know, it sounds unnatural  ). I did no wrong. I sexed no women (nor men, nor beasts), I started no fights, I knocked out no teeth, I photoed no dick, I burned no houses, I trolled no Jocks, I ogled no asses, I degraded no strippers, I was, for all intents and purposes...a virgin saint at B&R. Yet I get dumped by Jill (even after pouring my musical heart out at her concert).

My great and only sin? I didn't go on a fucking picnic because I was committed to healing a person with Covid which could have killed me by the way. I literally put my life on the line to help the infirmed, but I didn't go on a picnic, so no Jill for me.

On the subject of Jill.

In my opinion, DPC moved up the decision of Jill or Sage, for whatever reason. My guess is so he could have a little shock moment for the players and increase the replayability of BaDIK.

The perfect time for the Jill player decision is actually the meal with Tybalt in EP8. If the MC doesn't interfere with the meal, Jill knows about it so the MC doesn't fight for her. But if you didn't have the picnic with Jill, you get your shock moment and get to start over.

Most people calling for shorter updates are typically whining because they simply want this game to come out sooner. So if I have mis represented your intentions, I apologise.

But Summertime Saga has been going on since 2017 and the updates for that game have been atrocious in recent years. He still sits at number 1 (on Patreon). ICSTOR was raking in cash for years when doing absolutely nothing. As long as DPC provides regular communications (and he does) and maintains his currently quality, I doubt he has anything to worry about.

If he actually halves the size of the episodes at this point, by splitting the currently intended narrative in half, there a risk that it would undermine the impact of each episode. I think that would be a mistake.

But this just isn't true. I played as Saint Kellermann the Good (I know, it sounds unnatural  ). I did no wrong. But Saint Kellermann did indeed fight Dawe and Chad. He also got mixed up in Prep Mansion burning antics, even if he did or did not try to frame his friend for the event. Having never been a girl myself (I know, in this day and age that makes me an oddity), I can't be sure, but I reckon these are what decent, law abiding, buxom babes would consider "red flags". And what is Jill if not a decent, law abiding, most bodacious, buxom babe (who's slightly bananas).

So when our dear saint chose the leper colony instead of the sweet Jillybean, she didn't completely mind. I mean she understood the sacrifices this canonized character was making, but she also had other issues on her mind. She was hoping to tell him of the dastardly deeds of that dickhead Tybalt. But since our most holy hero couldn't make it, she figured she'd let it slide for a bit.

And so she did. And slide it did.

And she didn't invite him along for a morning jog. He was probably rescuing baby kittens from a burning house at the time anyway (I understand you can carry more than one kitten at a time too, bonus!)

And then things slipped further, it probably wasn't a good idea to invite him along to meet her friends. They were quite wealthy and placed a significant value on money. This may bring down wrath from the pious mc, it would be quite a scene if he started whipping them with righteous anger. Plus he was probably off fasting in the desert somewhere anyway.

And so, the most reverent mc and the virgin lady slowly drifted apart. And then she tore him a new one at the restaurant, and the rest is history. Or herstory if you've been paying attention in gender studies.
