Here's an attempt at a status update to give you some stats as I wanted for Friday.
Work completed:
  • 3652 renders (3569 produced and 83 in the render queue)
  • 211 animations (201 animations produced, 10 in the render queue)
  • 22 songs
Work that remains:
  • 8 scenes left to write
  • 50 scenes left to pose art for (~1000 more static renders)
  • 3-4 lewd scenes to make animations for (<100 animations)
  • Make some missing GUI for the new mini-game.
  • Write some code needed for other mini-games.
  • Add music (almost done)
  • Add SFX (almost done)
  • Rooster (90% done)
  • Other phone content (Phone chats/Calls, Bios, Stats, Pack Quest, Vault)
  • Collectibles (special renders/2D art/scenes) - Only testing remains
  • Playtest and polish
  • Verify bug fixes from the Interlude.
Overall completion:
My best shot at estimating a completion % right now is:
Static renders: 79%
Animations: 70% (based on animation count, not duration. The longest animations are almost done, so this number should increase faster from now on.)
Writing/Coding: 95%
Render and animation numbers are based on a target of ~4652 renders and 300 animations; subject to change if needed.
The writing/coding percentage is my gut feeling.
Further insight:
Lately, I've done most of Rooster, the main menu art, Jill's special render set, and placement of magazines/unlockables. These tasks require a lot from me, and I'm happy I'm close to done with all of them.
Long animations have been rendering for the last month, and I haven't been animating a lot which is why this count isn't much bigger than the last report I did.
The longest animation I've done to date has almost been completely rendered. It's currently 1 minute 16 seconds (2281 renders) long. It needs a few more hundreds of renders before PCs are freed up for other animations; this should happen before next Friday.
Threesome animations are still in the render queue and have been there for the last two months. They take a very long time to render but are worth it.
I will have a split focus on renders and animations in the upcoming weeks.

Wow, frankly speaking I'm both amazed and terrified at the work that must have been put behind this update.
Kinda scared for the next episodes considering the trend that DPC seems to follow which is a very perfectionnist way of doing things.

It's great because of the top tier quality of his work which just keeps getting better and better but also scary because he's probably going to struggle more and more in making each update better than the last.
Also, considering the amount of backlash the dev gets evry time some people that are never happy don't agree with either an artistic decison made or a developpment issue being tackled or the delay of an update, I'm surprised DPC still has that much enthousiasm about his work !

Truly one of the most hard-working devs out there ! :coffee:

He plans with 4652 renders, so there are about 1000 left to produce. That should be done by the end of September. Then 3 weeks for testing and bug fixing. I guess 31.10.2022. (Halloween):D(y)

When I read that so that several three-way animation in the queue, I can well imagine, so that each branch will get at least one three-way scene.:love:

I'm curious to see if Lynette's diary will include a threesome scene. That would be a bomb.:eek::cool:

Thats odd... the old ones dont look as good to me, am i able to download a save somewhere?

In what sense do they not look good to you?

with the saves at this time you could only play the interlude, I would say it's not worth it

and you should still download the first two seasons anyway, so at that point play them....

Everything will depend on the speed of work with renders, I don't think it's realistic to exceed the average of 200 renders per week. 4000 renders were originally planned, but there will be 4600. This will be the largest episode of all. o_OI think he will finish static in 5 weeks, around October 10th. Unfortunately, the events that happened knocked the DPC out of the schedule for 1-2 weeks.
The animations are still covered in the fog of war. How complex will the remaining animations be? I'd like to be optimistic about October, but we're still have a beta testing. So November became real. Sadly, but I know one thing - for the sake of this game, the wait is worth it.

  • Which is underwhelming as the Renders/Days fall behind EP8, let's hope the big animations finish help.
  • As Renders been pushed from around 4000 to around 4650, target progress been slowed.
    • Renders Progress: 73% > 78% | Animations Progress: 62% > 67% ; DPC estimate close to mine.
  • Historically, with 16 Preview we tie previous EP8 record; 2 to 5 more Rooster possible.

Give it a try before blindly writing it off, you might get surprised.

The early episodes naturally won't be as impressive, being few years old. But the game has very high production values in general. There's also very little point in skipping what's literally all of the game at the moment, you'll have zero idea about characters involved, this way.

Its not blind, I played #1 a long time ago. I'm not asking you to hand over your children for sacrifice, I just wanted to start on #3 of a porn game. Sue me:LOL:

You can guess. But the fact will be that as soon as the animations are done, he will put his remaining static renders into a queue on his power machine, which otherwise renders the Animations. This will speed up the work enormously.

He is actually done with programming.

Also, after 10/31/22, November 2022 begins, so I don't think we should quibble over one day.
