Less stress, less workload and less bitching as well. There's consequences to a heavy workload beyond the financial. There's teams on here that are less successful that manage the funds fine I don't think another person would dent DPCs income much. You are right though if it means more money most will stretch to try and keep a larger portion of it.

And that's fine but no game or project is worth running yourself into the ground for and he's taken on an awful lot with a lot of expectation attached. Devs burn out all the time and I can only see things getting larger and longer to develop. If it works out and it all doesn't catch up to him great but it makes me wince whenever I see a dev with a huge workload and long dev time doing it all by themselves because if it doesn't work out there's more consequences than financial or your passion project stalling. It takes a week to do a mingame and then he still has a mountain to write, code etc. It's a lot.

In the end it's his decision to make and he's always been very clear, he wants the game made how he wants it to be.
He loves making these minigames, he wants to do it all himself. We can want faster updates or just not care about these minigames, but if he just doesn't feel the need to do it any different than he does now, it's pointless to keep suggesting he starts being an employer instead of being an independent developer.

He doesn't want it different or he would have made these changes in his operation long ago. He has the money and the time to do it the way he likes, why would a possible burnout be a reason for him to do things different if he doesn't want to? The guy is happy how it's going and he can get a burnout from being a boss too, it's just not what he wants after all.

We want faster updates, he wants independency.... You fear a burnout for too heavy workload but if he fears a burnout from doing things he doesn't want, it's still pointless to come with arguments why you think it's necessary for him to change.
That's the thing with being independent... You can make your own decisions...

Regarding players having issues with DPC's release speed and wants.

He has his echo chamber, he doesn't give a damn about criticism.
Are players entitled to their own opinion? Of course.
But DPC doesn't care about it, specially from F95.
As far as I know, he quit his job. Does BaDIK full time.
Hobby turned into serious milking of stans.
And it works so good, that this is his job.
He is doing things exactly how he wants,
While still managing to please the Patreons.

There are some actions that I consider “mandatory” regardless of the alignment I want for my MC.

• Fight against Caleb;
• Fight against Tybalt;
• Fight against Tommy;

Like you said there's no need to be FULL DIK, but I can't help but ignore these actions... otherwise my MC is just another pussy in the crowd. I'd rather go without content with main girls who don't accept DIK affinity than play a pathetic character like CHICK MC.

And Tybalt is such a pitiful individual... Besides, responding to his slap with a punch is a bit too much, I think. The other three, however, sure, they need to be put on their place.

The CHICK path is one that has a tempo that will be very enjoyable for those closer to that, it just happens that most people here are DIK/NEUTRAL and when they see the CHICK route they don't like it. I don't like the full DIK route, it has a lot of sex scenes I couldn't care less, the only thing I lose and I care is Quinn (some of you include Riona in DIK for some reason but I got most of her in the NEUTRAL route and if someone is still available in cheating routes is probably her, who also didn't get any scenes exclusive to Others path. But Nora, Sandy, Madame Rose (and probably more I don't even remember)... I couldn't care less about all those. And the people who are full DIK probably couldn't care less about Josy, Maya, Bella or specially Jill (they maybe like the design of the characters but are probably bored by their narrative). And then there's the magical NEUTRAL path that has a bit of everything. And Sage, that is the magical kind of girl that appeals to all kinds of person because is everything at once.

About Riona, my last playthrough I played Josy/Maya branch, got chick affinity, and yet, at the Halloween party, Rio tried to make out with me. I stopped her advances and said to her that I was involved with someone else. This opened a conversation with her. And by the end of it, I got the feeling that Riona was starting to get more serious feelings for the MC. In other words, you may miss a lot of lewd content with the wild girls if you choose chick affinity, but that does not necessarily mean that some of them will not pick an interest on you at some point.

I've been coding for the better part of last week, but I also wrote some story and posed art.

Mostly, I've been working on an updated version of Brawler this week, and I need a few more days of work with the remaining art before I am done with it.

It's an ambitious upgrade of this mini-game, which is now taking its third and most likely final form.

Even though it's been remade from scratch, it will feel familiar but improved and expanded upon. I'm very pleased with how it plays.

Here are some screenshots of it.

As you may have noticed, I've been powering on with mini-games lately since I know I have to do a few more for episode 10. I'm trying to get most of it out of the way early, so I can focus on writing and creating art soon.

After Brawler, there's one shorter mini-game and some final work on a scientific mini-game left to do.

I have a healthy animation queue alongside this development. It allows me to focus without being interrupted.

I can also notice how the usual stress I feel about Custom renders being completely gone now that I have removed that tier reward.

I've been able to put an unhealthy amount of hours into coding this week because of this, and I love every second of it.

I will have the first part of the Q&A posted sometime next week. I'm splitting it into two parts, like last year's Q&A.

First, there will be a part about your Being a DIK questions, and after that, a part about game development. Thanks to everyone who submitted questions!

Somehow I don't see Caleb being more of a problem than a trained Muay Thai/Kickbox fighter in the Brawler

As far as I know, he stated he doesn't want to make a game after BaDIK. He's only goal now is to se BaDIK completed.

When did he say this? I believe this is his primary job, and hes already making bank. Hes making around 300k-700k a year and I dont think he'll get a better gig if he takes up some other job.
I wont be surprised though if DPC takes a hiatus or drops the length of future games adter completing BADIK.

Caleb falls down heavily, so Muay Thai/Kickbox fighter and spar. It's not just about beating Caleb either. MC vs. All Alphas.

Regarding Troy, I'm always a little apprehensive when choosing to fight him. I don't know if he got beat up by the Jocks for trying to stop them from stealing the MC's guitar or if he just got beat up because he's an asshole.

Regarding the other fights, I believe that all of them should happen. If the MC keeps running whenever someone tries to start a fight with him then he's still the same scared kid he was in high school.

A CHICK MC who doesn't fight in any of those fights I mentioned hasn't evolved at all as a character, in fact he's regressed.

The MC himself told Isabella that bullies beat him up to find out how much quiet he could take and now that he's an adult he still takes all the shit they throw at him?

I don't know... That's my opinion... Ignoring fights goes against the development the MC had in relation to the bullying suffered in high school.
