but what reason does the craftsman have for saying that it could take less? and who is the judge of how much improvement each extra day of work brings? he himself, so it is a sentence that has no real value, nobody knows the minimum time required, even more so in a situation of absolute freedom as in this case.
if DPC by chance released the chapter in July would this automatically mean that it was rushed and that any flaws in the chapter are all due to this haste? i don't think so, and in the same way if it came out next year it's not like it automatically becomes the best chapter ever, like 9 which wasn't.
I only know that this dude is crazy in a good manner. Who is more productive (AVN genre), when we talk about 1-man projects? Even some mini-"studios" do less than DPC alone. Isn't it a good estimate?
So, in short, game size, all branching stuff, etc encreases from episode to episode and I don't see any way it would decrease - at best it could stay the same for a while, but not decrease. Probably it will increase in constant. Due to this we just can't expect release times may decrease, the best hope is so they will stay at some level. He got rendering power upgrade, he doing some things faster due to expirience he gained during years of development and we can't blame him in lazyness or low productivity, because numbers of renders, animations and their quality as well as overall quality of product tell us an opposite. So, rigs power, experience and so on compensates potential 9+ months release times, while renders, animations numbers with their quality as a bonus, and coding tasks growing unproportioanally.
I never said he could do it out of malice, to cheat his patreons, but that he has no reason not to do it
and when you talk about burnout: doing something you like is the best way to avoid it, so doing a scene that you feel like doing, however much it may be more or less useful, more or less loved, is the solution, not the problem.
I'll try to explain. When you made a lot of money already, you have stable income currently and you clearly know that to release the final version of product you need a few years still, it's quite useless to prolong it by any means. He wouldn't try to shorten it to not compromise the product quality and to be able to realize all ideas which he had planned. But, making some potential scene or animation if he likes it and think it help product become better is reasonable, but I doubt he do it for some money. I believe his case is a combination of fanaticism in a good sense and return in the form of money received thanks to good work and good quality of the product. Regarding burnout I meant years added for potential "extra" development time if he add here and there something constantly. It's the reason when even nor money nor work you do would motivate you. Everything and everybody has a limit and a reasonable framework.
Sally just pisses me off. Even on the Chick/Neutral route, she is rude to MC for no reason. I didn't do anything wrong to her, why? Although maybe she just lacks good dicking, but I will probably go around a girl who looks 15 years old.
Such different, sometimes literally polar characters personalities is what makes this game so unique, not boring and "flat" as most of the others are. It's ok, some love Quinn, some hate her, etc
But seriously, what we know about her? She's on a "sedative" or "antidepressants" (apparently the prescription ones, because otherwise it's easier to go to a pharmacy than to contact a drug dealer). We don't know the reasons. KRJ is too, btw. So this may be one of the reasons. She is rude and impulsive to everyone, even to Magnar. And at the end we learned that something is going bad between them.
In EP9, I had a feeling that if the MC is polite to her, then she feels some guilt for her previous behavior and attitude. DIK MC makes fun of her and she likes it too, even though she pretends to be angry.
