I'm not a fan of DPC in general, but his games are good. AL being the best in my opinion. As for him extending time or whatever in getting out the updates, I don't care. Why? Because when it does release, I'll play it. So, why should I, or anyone bitch? Let DPC do his thing.
Never said his actions are because he is a perfectionist. I assumed that being perfectionist was the main factor that enabled lots of insecurities either new or dugged out from his past.
Plus, the updates for BaD are huge compared to a lot of games.
These are emotions. People love this game, they are inspired by it and it is natural that many people don't like the long development time and are afraid that the project will be abandoned. Because a lot can really happen in the next 6-7 years, we live in an unstable era. We love this game very much.

I don't think he's milking it on purpose, he just doesn't have any time management skills or a clear development structure. We don't really know how he works exactly, but there are some things that stress me out.
He releases large updates with loads of content. If you want to dick on some one who is milking people out of money, go to the Milfy City of Halfway House threads. They are the milkers. DPC actually delivers.well if you want a controlled environment with simps that dick sucking him no matter what he does, he created a nice echo chamber on his discord.

I'm sure by now, most everyone knows my feelings about certain devs. I don't talk shit about them or their games though. To me that's just being a hypocrite. We're playing a game for free, enjoying it and DPC allows us leeches to do so. So, why bitch about it? I don't see the point.

He will complete it and likely move onto another project shortly after completion or simply retire. But it seems he loves to be kept busy so retirement may not, overly, be an option for him. Who knows.

There are actually many reasons for this and one of the main reasons is branching. Now he is forced to give roughly equal content with indecent scenes and renders for each girl. But the main mistake is of course the branching of the Others. I have nothing against that branch, but the fact that he has bloated that branch is definitely the kind of thing that leads to lengthening the development time. we had the entire season one , 4 full episode to see, what is he like when he was sharp, motivated, and passionate.
He didn't need above 5000 render to tell the story, 1000 if not more render alone for just free-roaming. His entire first game was just 5000 render. And he did that while he had full time job, it was almost passion project at that point.
not to mention there are very few dev who has the equipment he had , and has. I think not many can can say they had 8, 3090 graphic card.
They also give him a lot of money
