Dude, exaclty my thoughts i like the occasional mini-games, mini-to-mid freeroams, phone messages and rooster but when these things take more time to develop(especially unnecessary animations) than the story that's my line. I want more story, character development and all and these things are like breaks between them.
When they take %90 of a episode like 9 i would rather play assassin's creed all over again. Which i don't like them anymore with all the bullshitty open world stuff.
I loved the first freeroams and mini games at start(besides class mini-games) they were breath of fresh air.

There is no getting away from long no-lewd animations, all developers with powerful hardware began to make them. We can say that this is a trend in top AVNs. Sad, but again we have to deal with it.
Minigames are basically coding and for a top IT guy like DPC it's not a big problem, where the big problem is increasing the size of Episodes in general, this guy can't find the balance and won't stop.
But Episode 9 when you run through the entire game from beginning to end doesn't cause any negative emotions - it is really good, we fell victim to the high expectations syndrome when we got not what we expected. I hope that Ep.10 will actually become more classic as the story progresses, at least like Ep.7-8. There were big free-rooms, but they didn't take up much of the episode. Otherwise if it will be another Ep.9 and it will kill the further hype of waiting for new episodes.

I'm a really logical person when it comes to plot and characters, like really logical. To allow you to understand it better, I had to teach myself how to not bring up any flaws or plot holes in the movie right after leaving the cinema. Just to not ruin the fun for my friend group. And I can tell you that BaDIK is written better than recent Marvel junk.
As I said before, it's nothing spectacular, but this game hits emotional moments really well, allows the story to breathe and develop over time, and has a diverse cast of characters, which creates interesting-to-follow dynamics. If you think about it, combined with each episode (season) coming out every year, it really works like an average teen drama. The closest comparison that I know of is Sex Education. But in Netflix series it cuts to next scene when characters start fucking.
I cried during Sex Education and I nearly cried during BaDIK, just because I resonated with some character or specific theme and just FYI, I don't masturbate to this game; that would be a really sad fap when you think about it.
From what I understand, Sex Ed. has more leftist values and stuff like that, while BaDIK, like every other erotic VN, caters to a male audience, which creates a lot of female objectification. It's not my point that all the porn stuff doesn't have influence; my point is that it doesn't diminish the quality; writing doesn't exist just thanks to the porn aspect of the game. I have no doubt that BaDIK, as a non-porn game, could stand on its own two feet if given the chance. Lots of people would lose interest, maybe you included, but it would still work as a really goodhearted story.
You know this whole discussion is kinda ironic because recently I had the thought that it's a shame this game doesn't have censor mode. Because of it, many people won't ever experience this simple yet beautiful story and many people won't take it seriously and give it an unbiased chance. And if it did have it, I would use it for some more blatant and unnecessary nudity. No cap.

No, but there are some side characters which can be considered li that are prostitutes but it not kink based(Dev not trying to make you feel like a cuck). You don't know who they are fucking and your MC is not even dating them. There is no such thing as sharing as well with other men atleast. Tho, keep it in mind this is not a harem game.(variety of side girls and 6 main li) You can try to fuck all the girls but you will have to give multiple replay to get everything unless you decide to commit to one girl. I would suggest giving this a try, it not as dark as pale carnations. Here the characters are easy to fall in love with and enjoy it.

I've come across this game multiple times and noticed it being highly rated everywhere. However, after seeing the tags, I was hesitant try out this game. Having dropped Pale Carnations recently, I want to make sure this isn't another such a game.
Without prostitution as a kink nor sharing involved, I might actually give this one a try. It's good to hear this isn't as dark or play into those fetishes as in Pale Carnations.
Having multiple lines for the different LI/side characters, reminds me of Bare Witness, another game I'm currently playing and enjoying.
