Well, just to give you some more hope. Looking through the scripts, it just seems like more work to make a giant-ass freeroam than it is to just write out dialogue (of course, you do more work as a writer than as a code monkey in regards to the latter) but it just feels like it's not worth the trouble.

I'm not sure how well-received Ep 9 was on Patreon because I'd usually just grab it from there then peace out but if some of the opinions on here were also reflected on Patreon, I kind of doubt DPC would do all of that again if people didn't like it. Unless he's a masochist.

do not forget about the animations at 60fps.

for a long time ive had a hunch that level of stupidity can directly effect level of happiness. think of the dumbest person you know. the ones that are arieth/homer simpson level stupid....theyre almost always smiling arent they?
for this reason i feel like the mc has hit a sweet spot where hes still smart enough to be useful, but dumb enough to allow a ton of fun. prove me wrong lol

I was just as optimistic as soon as I came here. But reality turned out to be full of disappointments, and I no longer rely on optimistic forecasts, knowing the DPC. He will always come up with something new to add, something that can be “improved” - not in the direction in which it is necessary. So you need to set aside at least a year for a new cycle.

I have a hard time believing DPC learns any lessons about that sort of thing. He will proudly stand there in the face of 1,000 impatient players and tell them the game NEEDS 60 fps animations. I don't think he's worried about people being annoyed if he calls his not-best-episode-yet the best episode yet

DPC seems to forget that no one is perfect.

I hope this new episode finally gives us solo Josy. I might even be interested in solo Maya at some point (if only to rub it in Derek's face), but god I fucking hate the throuple, it feels so forced.

I'm hoping for a solo Josy, too, but I don't think it'll happen just yet, even if you've been rejected by them both and still have feelings for Josy. If that's the case, I'm expecting this episode to have more what-if scenes, like in the current episode.

I don't think that in this episode we will be able to have a solo path with Josy, but I believe that we will see the end of Josy and Maya's relationship, but only at the end of the episode.

The drama in the HOT's about where Maya will stay will tire Josy so much, to the point where she decides to break up with Maya.

I think that in this episode we will see Josy express, even more, how dissatisfied she is in her relationship with Maya, and the MC will know in advance, that she intends to break up with her, the episode should end with her and Maya ending their relationship, only in the next episodes will we have the chance to have a solo relationship with Josy, but it won't be immediate.

Maybe there's something from Maya's point of view, where she ends the relationship, but I don't care about her opinion.

Bella faithful run (Chick)
Jill faithful run (Chick)
Sage manwhore run (DIK)
J&M faithful run (Neutral)
Others Quinn / Rio / Lily & Nicole / Sarah & Mel endings (DIK)
And finally the "casanova" break ups runs - Bella while dumping Jill & J&M (uff...), then Sage (again Jill & J&M), etc. - it was a mandatory fly in the ointment.

Playing such way gives me the proper motivation and allows to better notice things, while starting from "dessert" and the most "wanted" part works as opposite to me.
